Ancient Latin Translation of Psalms Found in Irish Bog

Archaeologists in Ireland found an ancient Latin translation of the Psalms of King David last week. Which Psalm the book was open to when preserved in the Irish bog has been a subject of confusion.

The ancient book was discovered in a bog by a construction worker who spotted it while driving the shovel of his backhoe into an area nearby. The approximately 20-page book has been dated to the years 800-1000.

It was initially reported that Latin Vulgate version of the book was opened to Psalm 83, which in the Hebrew Tanach exhorts G-d to “not hold Yourself silent” as the nations plot against Israel – explicitly mentioning Edom, Ishmael and the residents of Philistia and Tyre.

It turns out, however, that the Vulgate uses a different numbering of the chapters than the Hebrew Bible and the chapter that was actually facing outwards was not Psalm 83.

It was then reported that the visible text on the bog book is from the seventh verse of Psalm 82, which reads: "But you will die like mere men; you will fall like every other ruler."

Finally, the the Director of Ireland's museum Patrick F. Wallace said in a statement Friday that it was actually Psalm 84 that was exposed. He said that the original announcement had “led to misconceptions about the revealed wording. It is hoped that this clarification will serve comfort to anyone worried by earlier reports of the content of the text.”

The words of Psalm 84 are as follows:
1. For the conductor, on the gittith, of the sons of Korah, a song.
2. How beloved are Your dwelling places, O L-rd of Hosts!
3. My soul yearns, yea, it pines for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh pray fervently to the living G-d.
4. Even a bird found a house and a swallow her nest, where she placed her chicks upon Your altars, O Lord of Hosts, my King and my G-d.
5. Fortunate are those who stay in Your house; they will continually praise You forever.
6. Fortunate is the man who has strength in You, in whose heart are the highways.
7. Transgressors in the valley of Baka (weeping) make it into a fountain; also with blessings they enwrap [their] Teacher.
8. They go from host to host; he will appear to G-d in Zion.
9. O L-rd, G-d of Hosts, hearken to my prayer; bend Your ear, O G-d of Jacob, forever.
10. See our shield, O G-d, and look at the face of Your anointed.
11. For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand; I chose to sit on the threshold of the house of My G-d rather than dwell in tents of wickedness.
12. For a sun and a shield is the L-rd G-d; the L-rd will give grace and glory; He will not withhold good from those who go with sincerity.
13. O L-rd of Hosts, fortunate is the man who trusts in You.

The Psalm is recited by many Jews at the beginning of the afternoon prayers on a daily basis. The Valley of Weeping can be read as the Bekaa Valley, a Hizbullah stronghold in eastern Lebanon thought to also host a Syrian military intelligence presence.

 

It really does not matter which page of the Bible was being read at the time when this ancient script was lost. Every page in the Psalms  is related to God's promises to the Jewish people not the Arabs. The Koran denies the Psalms, and even the existence of King David who wrote many of them. Today's Arabs teach that King David is a mythical character, and part of a Zionist plot to influence the world toward the Jews. The media agrees to a mythical King David, and rarely expose the Koran as a blasphemous Arabic plot to influence the world toward the Islamic peoples. The 83erd Psalm is one that should put fear in the heart of every Arab planning to put an end to the State of Israel. It's application to the very news coming out of the Holy Land today makes the point of the theme of this web page. The Old Testament lives in today's news!

Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

Tyre is being bombed today by the Israeli Air Force. Today's Arabic Palestinians falsely claim their heritage goes back to the Philistines.  It is the only way they can lay claim to the land. They must use Arafat's concocted lie. The foolishness of this is that they must use Bible passages that they already claimed were part of the Zionists plot to establish their phony heritage. The Koran boasts of the Arabic heritage going back as the seed of both Ishmael and Esau neither of which have any link to the Philistines. It is no coincidence that King David should mention both Edom the home of the seed of Esau, and the Ishmaelites in one breath as the enemies of God. The Arabs are referred to as the dung of the earth in verse 10. It is no wonder Islam wants to replace the Bible with the Koran as the only book of the Holy Land.  

Islam and the Arabs do not do much better in Psalm 84. A Psalm dedicated to Jewish worship in the courts of a Jewish Temple!

How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!

Here Jesus is presented in His millennial glory as the LORD of hosts. His soon coming position as King of the Jews, and the King of kings to whom all must bow down! Every knee must bow to Him as the LORD of hosts, and His power will be irresistible. This leaves no room for the Islamic religion which could never bow down to a Jewish King. It is also no coincidence that the Bekah Valley should be mentioned in verse 6. The masses will be traveling through the Bekah Valley to Zion the very Jewish symbol the Arabs hate so much. They will be going to pay homage to the only true God who survives into the next dispensation. This psalm is all about the God of Jacob, and His House yet to be built by this generation of Jews on the Temple Mount. It will be better to be a doorkeeper in the House of God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness is the exhortation. The blessed of that day are they who trust in the LORD Jesus Christ who will be the King of Kings sitting on His throne in this soon coming House of God.

Friend, are you trusting in this Christ for your salvation? Why not come to Him right now, and let Him wash away all your sins in His soul cleansing blood. He is the LORD of hosts. He is the coming King of Glory. Oh Jacob, Oh sons of Islam, Oh apostate Christian, He is the LORD Jesus Christ!

ANALYSIS: UN force in Lebanon would be a recipe for disaster

Because of the difficulties and political foot-dragging involved in setting up an international force that is supposed to operate in Lebanon after the fighting is over, the Americans and Europeans proposed that the monitoring mission be placed for now on UNIFIL, whose troops are already deployed in southern Lebanon. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon is considered a force that has failed in a majority of its tasks, that has never managed to prevent hostilities and whose reports have been mostly opposed to Israel.

The proposal to give UNIFIL sensitive monitoring tasks attests to how uncertain it is that the international force will manage to prevent Hezbollah's activity as a militia, as stipulated by Security Council Resolution 1559 from 2004. Tasking UNIFIL with sensitive missions is a recipe for disaster and trouble. One striking example was when three Israel Defense Forces soldiers were kidnapped by Hezbollah from Israeli territory in October 2000. The abduction was organized not far from a UNIFIL outpost, and the UN troops watched as the three were transfered to a car with Lebanese plates that fled the scene.

UNIFIL was established in 1978 after Operation Litani, without the UN bothering to coordinate in advance with Israel the decision and deployment of the force. UNIFIL got into serious conflicts with the South Lebanese Army, which was working in coordination with Israel. UNIFIL did not manage to prevent the Palestinian shelling of Israel, just as it did not manage to prevent such shelling by Hezbollah. It did not play any role in preventing the war in 1982 when the IDF invaded Lebanon.

UNIFIL's most striking and long-lasting failure was its failure to prevent the infiltration of terrorist and guerrilla cells from Lebanon into Israel, which caused numerous murders. The organization also failed to protect Lebanese civilians. Units from various countries have participated in UNIFIL. Some of the, have displayed professionalism, such as the unit from Fiji. Sometimes good relations were forged between Israeli representatives and UNIFIL commanders. But for the most part these relations were laden with misunderstandings. Not infrequently, a negative phenomenon occured in which relations soured between Israel and countries that contributed troops to UNIFIL.

The force's lack of success was not a result of its belonging to the UN. In contrast to UNIFIL's failure, there is an opposite example of another UN force that manages to fulfill its tasks. This is the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force, which was established after the Yom Kippur War. The primary reason for this is that UNDOF was deployed following agreement between the two sides, Israel and Syria, on setting up the
force and its mandate.

No expectations should be pinned on UNIFIL's actions against Hezbollah and its rockets in South Lebanon. UNIFIL will make do at most with noting incidents in its control zone.

There is no chance it will take action against a rocket network or against armed people operating in the zone under its control. That could serve as a negative precedent for the UN force that will come to the region after it.

"Howl," is what the Bible says to the people who today falsely claim Palestina as their heritage. God says they will dissolve in the onslaught from the North, but not by Israel coming out of the South. Isaiah 14: 31 & 32 does have a modern day application, but it is not this present battle. I believe the Palestinian Arabs are going to find their end when they join in the Islamic invasion of Israel in Ezekiel 38 & 39. The invasion is three pronged, but the Northern prong is the most powerful. The battle may well be designated as coming out of the North because this will be the most numerous prong, and the most destructive. The Southern prong containing Libya, and all the Moslems of North Africa will be powerful, and The Eastern prong will be likewise powerful dominated by Iran. But, it is the Northern prong that will be all powerful, and able by itself to accomplish the total destruction of Israel with no help. Here will be all the Moslems North of the Caucasus Mountains including such countries as Chechnya, Georgia, etc. the "chief prince" that were once part of the old USSR the Gog in Bible prophecy. They will be joined by all the Moslems that surround the Black Sea known as Gomer. Once they cross the Caucuses they will be joined by Turkey (Togarmah) on the other side. This massive horde of Islamic invaders is with whom the Arab Palestinians cast their lot. I would watch ties between the Palestinians and the Chechnyan's during this coming phony peace sure to follow this present battle. God tells us they will dissolve as a people, and that will be the end of this short lived Palestinian State, or whatever status they reach after the present hostilities end. God is going to destroy the Islamic invaders on the fields and mountains of Israel. These barbarians coming for a prey will die in a most horrible manner. It is not nuclear. It is something far worse. It is the wrath of God!

The UN peace keepers into whom Israel will be trusting for their security apparently step aside at the face of such a horde coming out of the North. I suspect they do not fire a shot. There will be not one who will be willing to put his life in danger for a Jew. I don't know where the USA comes into play, but I suspect the leadership of this country will have no stomach to get involved probably for the same reason as the Europeans. The born again Christians will probably have been raptured away, and all who passionately love Israel will no longer be an influence.

The next coming peace that replaces the failed Road Map will undoubtedly include UN peace keepers. The plans on how they will be deployed are probably being debated this very day. Spain (Tarshish) is one of the possible UN peace keeper countries that asks the invaders what is their plan? They suspect the invasion is intended to spoil and murder (as prey) the Jews. They do not seem to be too perturbed at the thought.

Ezekiel 38:13-16

13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish , with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?

15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

It is not this present battle that should trouble your heart. It is the peace coming on it's heels that should cause great trouble. A phony peace that only leads to greater conflict. A peace that convinces Islam to invade with the idea of murdering every single Jew living in the Holy Land.

Ezekiel 38:10-11

10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

The future for Israel is bleak. Great Tribulation is what is coming to the Jews down the real road of history. A billion Moslems are having their hearts prepare for invasion knowing it is Allah's will. The problem is Allah is a phony god who is going to lead them to their death, and then laugh at them for their foolishness. The God of the Bible makes it clear He will bring them into My Land. It is the God of the Bible who will have His way. Islam will have reached the depths of depravity as had the Nazis of the last generation. It will be in the latter days. Then will God use His power to destroy them in one fell swoop. The Bible says God will be sanctified (His holiness manifested) by dissolving into mush these invaders plans to destroy Israel. Not only will the heathen be confronted with the holiness of God to their end. The Jews will also be confronted with His holiness through Great Tribulation, and they will turn to the LORD Jesus Christ acknowledging Him as their Messiah. The born again Christians will have been raptured, and the next dispensation will be having it's foundation laid. A Jewish Kingdom with a Jewish Temple will rise out of the ashes. Another peace treaty this time overseen by the antichrist will be signed giving the Jews permission to build their Temple on the Temple Mount. There will be no Islamic intervention after Ezekiel 39 takes place.

2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:

25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.

27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which cause them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.

Olmert Says War Will Advance Realignment, Refusals Result

As a result of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's declaration that victory in the Lebanese war would advance his withdrawal plan, ten reserve soldiers have announced their refusal to fight.

For the past several months, Olmert has championed his "convergence" plan, which is in essence another unilateral withdrawal and the planned destruction of most of the remaining Jewish communities located throughout Judea and Samaria. Olmert has said he will "converge" them together into settlement blocs, but the international community has not agreed to this.

Speaking with The Associated Press on Wednesday, Prime Minister Olmert said, "I'll surprise you. I genuinely believe that the outcome of the present [conflict] and the emergence of a new order that will provide more stability and will defeat the forces of terror will help create the necessary environment that will allow me... to create a new momentum between us and the Palestinians."

"We want to separate from the Palestinians," he added. "I'm ready to do it. I'm ready to cope with these demands. It's not easy, it's very difficult, but we are elected to our positions to do things and not to sit idle."

Word of Olmert's statements quickly spread through the ranks of the IDF units fighting in Lebanon. Army Radio featured a father from Ofrah, one of the communities slated for destruction due to its proximity on the "other" side of the Partition Wall. "I text-messaged my two sons serving in Lebanon to tell them to come home," he said. "It is outrageous that the man sending them to war states that the victory they are risking their lives for will result in their family being expelled from their home, allowing it to become exactly what Gaza and southern Lebanon have become."

Shortly after, it was reported that at least ten reservists had refused to continue their emergency reserve duty if further withdrawals are truly the goal of the operation.

Olmert's public relations team later insisted that the war with Hizbullah has nothing to do with his plan, stating his planned ‘realignment’ must move forward as he promised it would prior to being elected.

Among the critics of Olmert’s plan is MK Dr. Yossi Beilin, who heads the left-wing Meretz-Yahad opposition party. Beilin stated there can be no additional unilateral Israeli policies, only withdrawals resulting from negotiations and agreements. His remarks were echoed by Arab MK Mohammad Barakeh.

Likud MK Gidon Sa’ar stated that the so-called realignment plan would bring the rockets to fall upon the entire country, and not the just the north and south as is the case today.

MK Dr. Ephraim Sneh (Labor), a former deputy defense minister, stated that it is obvious from the prime minister’s remarks that he has learned nothing from the unilateral withdrawals from Gaza and southern Lebanon.

The prime minister currently enjoys widespread support for his ongoing effort to destroy Hizbullah. Some critics are accusing the prime minister of taking advantage of his popularity to advance his political agenda, explaining he has made an error since he is splitting the nation at this critical time.

MK Effie Eitam (National Union-NRP), a retired IDF brigadier-general and former commander of forces in southern Lebanon, has been advising the prime minister and Defense Minister Amir Peretz frequently since the war broke out over three weeks ago. Eitam was quick to comment on Olmert’s AP interview, stating he made a tactical error, splitting the nation at this critical time.

Eitam told the media that following the prime minister’s interview, he was contacted by many rabbis and deans of IDF preparatory yeshiva programs, all expressing concerns regarding the timing of the prime minister’s remarks as the nation is in a state of war.

Realizing Eitam was the unofficial liaison to the Orthodox community that supports Olmert during the ongoing Hizbullah war, the Prime Minister’s Office was quick to contact him, seeking to implement damage control. Aides to the prime minister quickly issued a clarification, stating the realignment was not intended to have been the main focus of the AP interview.

Asking Eitam to convey a message to the Torah-observant public, the prime minister announced that at present, he is only dealing with efforts to halt rocket attacks, nothing else.

The prime minister’s interview broke the current momentum, with rabbis and other right-wing community leaders calling to reevaluate the war in the north, explaining it is unconscionable that soldiers living in Judea and Samaria fight for the country and then be evicted from their homes by the same army.

Eitam was called upon by Olmert to act as a go-between, seeking to allay fears and repair the damage resulting from his interview.

Eitam told the media that following a conversation with the prime minister, it is clear to him that the realignment/expulsion would not be dealt with at present. Eitam admits that the plan will be problematic at some time in the future, after the war, but for now, the nation must remain united behind the government while efforts continue to eliminate the Hizbullah threat.

Wednesday night, at a gathering of some 15,000 Jews who marched around Jerusalem's Old City at the fast of Tisha B'Av began, Women in Green co-founder Nadia Matar called upon all those present to bring their children home from the war front in order to defend their homes in Judea and Samaria, unless Olmert announces the cancellation of his plan.

Manhigut Yehudit, the Jewish Leadership faction within the Likud, was calling for refusal even prior to PM Olmert's explicit statements, saying it was obvious that the war's goal is to prove to the Israeli public that past withdrawals had been beneficial.

Already last week, Manhigut director Michael Fuah issued such a call. “We must remember what the IDF was busy with exactly a year ago,” he wrote in an essay published on Arutz-7's Hebrew site Tuesday. “The IDF, in its present state, is not capable of beating Hizbullah. When one adds the supposed ethical code the IDF is charged with – where the Defense Minister praises a soldier for refraining from shooting at a terrorist holding a child on one hand and his gun in the other – there is no chance for victory.”

Fuah adds that he realizes the stance is not a popular one, but while the Prime Minister continues to say he will continue with the destruction of Jewish communities and the expulsion of their residents, only such a refusal movement can demand:
1. Replacement of the IDF top brass who took part in the expulsion.
2. Rewriting of the IDF's ethical code to rule out endangering soldiers to protect the lives of terrorists and those around them.
3. A decision by the Knesset and the cabinet allowing all those expelled from Gaza, Samaria and the Sinai to return to their homes.

More than 10% of soldiers killed in combat in Lebanon hail from towns in Judea and Samaria - three times their proportion in the general population.

 

Olmert has put it on record that he is fighting this war for his liberal political view. He is not fighting it for God. Israel has gone itnto this battle without God. The liberals don't need Him, or do they intend to ever obey Him. The give away liberal plan is still in place. Next, they want to fix it as part of the coming peace. It is the worst part of the dead blasphemous Road Map that Olmert intends to revive. His view is that all the gains of the 67 War have turned into a curse, and must be given away. This would include both Jerusalem, and the Temple Mount. He does not contemplate that the curse is because of his, and his followers disobedience. The giving back to Islam the keys to the Temple Mount is where the blessings turned into curses. The giving away of the Holy Land that God has provided for them continues the cursing. It will not be until the Jews regain the Temple Mount keys, and the lands they keep giving away that the present  curses will be lifted. Right now the blind false shepherds are leading the Jews in this present conflict. The religious Jews must wait until God either turns their heart, replaces them, or kills them. Until one of these three things happen the curse on the Jewish State will only get worse. The Law of God will prevail. The next dispensation will not be stopped.

It is not just the liberal Jews who are in need of repentance. The Orthodox Religious Jews have their own problems with spiritual pride. Right now they do not sacrifice for sin as God so clearly commanded in the Old Testament. The old excuse that we don't control Jerusalem ended in 1967. It is almost 40 years now since the religious Jews were without excuse. I suppose they could now claim it is the liberal Jews who prevent them from obeying God, but that is a feeble excuse in my estimation. They know how to be forceful with their own brothers, and if the heart was really into obedience the task would have been accomplished. Most of these religious Jews do not want to upset the apple cart. They are satisfied with the present state of Jewish worship without the Temple, and have no intent to change things that they now control. I can tell you from the Bible that God is not satisfied! Even if these Religious Jews began to sacrifice as they ought, it would not be acceptable! The only acceptable sacrifice must be made in remembrance of what Christ did at Calvary for the sinner. The religious Jewish heart still has a long way to go until it is ready to enter into His coming Kingdom.

Malachi 1:10-11

The coming peace of the Olmert Government is already cursed before it is even put down in ink. The tribulation of the Jews is only going to continue. The entire world will suffer as a result of Jewish disobedience to the God of the Bible. The world has no room to use this fact for anti-Semitism because if God dealt with them for their own sins apart from the Jews they would all be roasting in hell right now. The end of the times of the gentiles is here. The next dispensation is the Jewish Kingdom Age. The gentiles will not be allowed to dominate under the thousand year reign of the King of kings and LORD of Lords. Perfect Judaism will be the world wide religion. A Judaism based on the LORD Jesus Christ as the Jewish Messiah. It can't happen until the present "born again" Christians are raptured out of present apostate Christianity that such a dispensational change take place. The Jews must then turn to the Christ of those who will have been supernaturally raptured before the foundation of perfect Judaism can be laid. The present conflict in the Holy Land is part of what it will take to accomplish these things.

Friend, in this dispensation you must by yourself come to Christ. The issue of your sin is between you, and Him, and no other. You are the one obligated to come to Him for the blood cleansing power He has over your sin. He will not force Himself on you. You must come of your own volition. Oh friend, won't you come to Him right now for salvation?

 

3 Dead, 160 Injured in Rocket Barrage on Haifa

Three Israelis were killed and scores more wounded in a rocket barrage that slammed into Haifa a few minutes before 8:00 pm Sunday evening.

Twelve reservists were killed on Sunday by a Katyusha that landed in an open area where they were gathered, next to kibbutz Kfar Giladi located near Kiryat Shmona.

The names of the victims have not yet been released, but families have been informed.

The reservists were killed by a rocket that was part of a massive barrage that hit the north at noontime on Sunday, while they were sitting outside the Kfar Giladi cemetery. Two of the 12 died of their wounds after arriving at Sieff Hospital in Tzfat. Three more were critically injured and a fourth was listed in moderate condition. Six suffered light wounds.

Heavy damage was caused to the area, and two cars could be seen burning on television footage two hours after the rocket hit.

“This shouldn’t have happened,” said a resident of Kfar Giladi. “We sounded the alert before the rocket hit.” However, another resident added that the group, which had gathered in the open area, had nowhere to run when the alert was sounded.

"We had no place to hide. I saw Katyushas hitting cars and people shouting. Within four to five minutes paramedics arrived to rescue them," said 30-year-old reservist Dimitri Lipovsky. He said he and his comrades were standing under a tree when the siren sounded.

The Homefront Command continued to emphasize, via the media, the importance of remaining in protected areas. The warning was reiterated on Sunday evening, when a rocket barrage that slammed into Haifa left three dead and at least 100 injured.

Aftert the Kfar Giladi attack, Hizbullah's Al-Manar television station broadcast a special bulletin, with the announcement, "Today is one of achievements. The enemy has admitted to having dead and wounded following landing of the resistance rockets. The enemy's television pictures show the great blow and panic. There are cases of collapsed nerves and hysteria on their part. They never expected a great blow such as this by our resistance rockets."

In Shechem (Nablus), the largest Palestinian Authority-controlled city in the Shomron, dozens of cars set off in a joyous convoy, honking and flaunting pictures of Hizbullah leader arch-terrorist Sheikh Nasrallah. Chants for rockets on Tel Aviv were heard, according to the Ynet news service. Candy was distributed in the Gaza Strip.

Five soldiers were killed over the weekend: In a pre-dawn battle Friday morning in Markabeh in southern Lebanon, three soldiers fell: Capt. Igor Rotshtein, 34, of Moshav Poriyah N'vei Oved near Tiberias, Staff Sgt. Daniel Shiran, 20, from Haifa, and Staff Sgt. Omri Almakayis (Yakobitvich), 20, of Ramle. At least seven terrorists were killed in the battle.

Later on Friday, Sgt. Ohr Shachar, 20, of Kibbutz Yad Mordechai, was killed when a mortar shell hit his tank in the eastern sector of Lebanon, north of Misgav Am. Yesterday (Saturday) afternoon, Pvt. Kyril Kashdan, 26, from Haifa, was killed in an exchange of fire in Ita a-Sha'b. Some 40 terrorists have been killed so far in the eastern sector.

An IDF force operating in the area discovered an unexploded 120-mm mortar, aimed at Israel, with 100 mortar shells alongside it.

Four civilians were killed in Katyusha attacks on Friday, including a man from Sh'ar Yashuv, a woman from the Druze village of Mrar, and two men from the Arab town of Majdal Krum.

Four more were killed on the Sabbath: An 85-year-old woman from Kiryat Ata, north of Haifa, who ran to a shelter during a Katyusha siren, suffered a fatal heart attack upon her return home. In addition, three Arab women - a mother and two grown daughters - were killed when a Katyusha scored a direct hit on their home in Areb al-Aramsha, on the Lebanese border, 10 kilometers east of the Mediterranean Sea.
 

The barbarians dance in the streets like wild animals at the word that Jewish blood was spilt. These terrorists who represent Islam if only by tongue in cheek have reached the depths of human depravity. They are not human anymore. They have long ago sold out their humanity to hate. This generation has been raised, and nurtured by Islam to hate the Jew. They hate anyone who does not hate the Jews like they do. They have turned themselves into wild animals. They have no conscience. They can murder babies and children without remorse. They target babies in carriages when stalking their Jewish prey. They target children's school buses as long as they are Jewish. These barbarians use their own children as human shields. They send their own children out as suicide bombers. They murder Arab, Drew, or whatever their dumb bombs may come close. Their rockets are made with care in Syria filled with hundreds of ball bearings to do the most vicious damage to a human being that they could possibly do. They have taken total depravity to the same depths as the Nazis who went before them. Their lust for Jewish blood may even surpass that of the Nazis. It is this generation of Islam that must be judged as it was the last generation of Nazis who could not escape the judgment of the God of the Bible.

The Russians treated the Nazis as they were treated, and their end was horrific. The allies were more humane, but we still fire bombed them into submission. There was no mercy shown for the most part, and Nazi became the most foul word in the world. The suffering of the Jews at the hands of the Nazis mellowed the heart of the world if for a moment, and the State of Israel was born in 1948. It was born on the dung pile left behind by the fall of the Nazis. Only the Nazis protested the end that the God of the Bible planed for them. This same God has a plan for the end of Islam. It will be spectacular. It will be the hand of God, and take place in a moment. The wild animals will go into animalistic frenzy once they cross into the Holy Land. The lust for blood will overwhelm these invaders, and they will not discriminate as they slash out in hate. The Bible says many of their Islamic brothers will be their victims as is happening this very day. The Nazis murdered many of their brothers also. Many a German was put to death for not being Nazi enough. So also as the terrorists care nothing about the Arabs their rockets kill so also will these Islamic invaders not care who's blood they spill.

The God of the Bible unlike the false god Allah is not blood thirsty. The Bible says He will plead with the Islamic invaders to turn away from the god leading them to their death, and come to Him for life. These Islamic invaders will be confronted with the Christ of the Bible who is the Jewish Messiah, and the soon coming King of the Jews. They will be forced to summit to Him first with pestilence, then with blood, then rain, then overflowing rain, and finally great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. The Bible says nothing will break their hardened wild animalistic hearts. Their depravity will be beyond redemption, and so they will die on the mountains and fields of Israel. A generation raised, and nurtured on Jewish hate will find their horrific end in Ezekiel 39.

Friend, I pray your end will not be as theirs. The life the God of the Bible offers is eternal. Only Christ can forgive you of your sins. He sacrificed His perfect life on Calvary so sinners could be saved. Won't you come to Him right now?

Security Cabinet to IDF: Take it to the Litani River

The security cabinet gave the IDF the go-ahead on Wednesday to broaden ground operations and take control of southern Lebanon up to the Litani River.

The vote was unanimous, with three abstentions.

Shas party Chairman and Industry and Trade Minister Eli Yishai spoke to reporters after the meeting, which took several hours. “The assessment is that it is going to last 30 days,” he said somberly. “I think it is wrong to make this assessment. I think it will take a lot longer.” Yishai was one of the ministers who abstained from the vote. Vice Premier Shimon Peres (Labor) and Minister Ofir Pines also abstained.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Amir Peretz were charged with the task of defining the timing and scope of the operation, which is aimed at finding and destroying the rocket launchers used to attack communities in northern Israel.

Knesset Member Yuval Shteinitz (Likud) praised the decision but said it should have come a month ago.

"Finally, the government has made the obvious decision - to assign the IDF with the task of defending the country from missiles and rockets. It is just a shame that the decision comes four weeks late, during which severe damage was done to the home front and heavy economic losses were incurred."

Shteinitz added that only the IDF will be able to eliminate the Hizbullah from southern Lebanon, as opposed to any international or Lebanese military.

The decision came in one of the bloodiest weeks of fighting since the war began.
On Sunday, 12 reservists were killed when a Katyusha rocket slammed into their gathering site outside the cemetery at Kibbutz Kfar Giladi, near Kiryat Shmona. Eleven Israeli civilians died and more than 150 wounded and shocked in rocket barrages across the north the same day.

Monday saw two soldiers killed and seven wounded as they once again fought for control of the village of Bint Jbeil, a central Hizbullah stronghold. IDF troops had taken control of the village on July 25th after several days of bloody battles in which eight soldiers lost their lives.

On Tuesday, five soldiers were killed and 23 wounded. Defense Minister Amir Peretz warned the same day that Israel would push back Hizbullah terrorists if diplomatic measures did not succeed.

Massive Western Aliyah This Week, Despite Month of War

Despite the two-front war, the thousands of missiles, and the evacuation of northern communities, more than 800 North American and British Jews are moving to Israel this week.

After a month of war, and even though they have had plenty of time to postpone or reschedule their Aliyah (immigration to Israel), four planeloads of Jews are scheduled to arrive in Ben Gurion airport in the coming week – the first on Thursday.

On Wednesday, August 16th – the one year anniversary of the forced eviction of the Jews of Gaza – three simultaneous flights will arrive. Embodying the Jewish prayer that the nation be gathered “from the four corners of the Earth,” the planes will depart from Canada, America and England – all arriving simultaneously in the Holy Land.

The August 16, 2006 influx will constitute the largest number of Jews in history making Aliyah to Israel from Western countries in a single day.

Overall this summer, 3,000 North American and British Jews are moving to Israel on specially chartered flights organized by the Nefesh b'Nefesh Aliyah assistance organization, in close cooperation with the Jewish Agency.

Greeting the arrivals Thursday will be Minister of Public Security and former Shabak Chief Avi Dichter (Kadima) and Minister of Immigrant Absorption Ze'ev Boim (Kadima). Opposition leader MK Binyamin Netanyahu greeted the last group of arrivals last month.

The God of the Bible is at work in the Holy Land. He is bringing the last of the Jews who will be part of this third miraculous Exodus to the Holy Land. Not every single Jew will be part of this Exodus. When the Jews came back for the second miraculous Exodus from Babylon it was only a part of the Jewish nation. More stayed behind then those who participated in the Exodus. It is the faithful remnant that always is the center of God's plans. The nations, the masses, do not understand the counsel of God. They can't comprehend His thoughts. It is beyond them that God would subject the whole world of Christ rejecters to death for just a faithful few.

This present dispensation is coming to an end. The times of the gentiles is almost finished. The Bible teaches that a faithful few will be raptured on the last day of the Church Age from among the great apostate whore known as today's Christianity. A new dispensation will then be ready to set it's own foundation. It will be based completely on the Bible, and will fulfill all the promises God made to the founding Fathers of the Bible. A perfect Kingdom is coming to planet earth. It will replace the Church Age. It is promised to the Jews, and will have a perfect Jewish King to rule it for 1000 years. He will establish His throne in the Holy Land, at Jerusalem, and on the Temple Mount.  He will teach a perfect Judaism based on the entire Bible. The book of Leviticus will be brought back from obscurity based on the remembrance of Calvary. The Old and New Testaments will merge into one. Christ will be the link that puts it all together. Perfect Judaism will be the only religion of the Kingdom Age! Ezekiel's Temple, the only Holy Jewish Temple with a throne, will be the only place on the planet where blood sacrifice will be accepted.

The Bible teaches that when the LORD returns He will manifest Himself as the LORD of hosts. His power will be irresistible. His perfect will of perfect righteousness will rule. Every knee shall bow to His might. Friend, it is good to know this mighty God will sit with the little children. We shall see the manifestation of His perfect love in the midst of His perfect power. He will be the same Jesus of whom we know from the New Testament. All the love will be there every day of His reign. The one thing that will be different is that sin will not be allowed to ruin the lives of the Kingdom's citizens. Sin will just not be allowed. Men when confronted with their sin will need immediately seek the forgiveness from our King who shed His Blood for the sin of the world, or they will be put to death. Perfect law will govern the perfect Kingdom. It will be something new, yet it all is written from times of old in the Bible. This third miraculous Exodus into the Holy Land during these perilous days has this single grand purpose as the focus. The Jews who will lay that perfect foundation for the Kingdom Age are being gathered together for this purpose. God has promised He will soon prepare their hearts for redemption. A redemption that can only come through the LORD Jesus Christ.

Friend, in this present dispensation redemption can be yours this very moment. Your heart can be changed. Your sins can all be washed away. Friend, won't you come to Christ?

 

Ceasefire Plan Does Not Eliminate Hizbullah Threat

The draft ceasefire plan agreed to by the United States and France may result in an Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon, but it will not disarm Hizbullah.

It appears that United Nations efforts are concentrating on halting Israeli military operations throughout Lebanon, but no effort is being made to eliminate the Hizbullah threat. The draft agreement only calls for pushing Hizbullah north of the Litani, not far enough from Israel’s northern border to place Hizbullah rockets out of range from northern Israeli civilian population centers.

While the draft agreement supports UN Resolution 1559, demanding Hizbullah be disarmed by the Lebanese government, it does not make this a precondition to the implementation of the ceasefire.

The plan calls or the deployment of the current UNIFIL force in southern Lebanon, to be supported by some 10,000 French forces and 15,000 Lebanese army troops. Other countries may also send troops to take part in the force, which will be responsible to prevent Hizbullah attacks into Israel.

Lebanese authorities and Hizbullah are already signaling the plan is unacceptable since it does not demand an immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon, but permits a gradual withdrawal of forces over a month. In addition, Lebanese officials are calling the plan discriminatory, since it mentions the need to work towards the release of captive IDF soldiers while not making mention of the release of Lebanese soldiers.

In Jerusalem, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Amir Peretz have put the next stage of the IDF anti-Hizbullah offensive in southern Lebanon on hold, realizing a stepped-up offensive at this time would compromise White House efforts to broker a ceasefire. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is expressing cautious optimism, but has decided not to permit Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni to travel to New York to address the Security Council, fearing such a move would increase pressure on Israel.

In 30 days, the agreement will seek more comprehensive ceasefire terms as well as formulating solutions towards the release of three IDF captive soldiers.

The agreement is being rejected by the IDF, with members of the General Staff expressing strong opposition, stating the plan prevents planned efforts towards reducing the Hizbullah threat. Military officials fear the implementation of the draft ceasefire will do nothing to disarm the terror organization.

Defense Minister Peretz in statements released in Jerusalem on Thursday stated that prior to advancing military operations; all diplomatic channels would be exhausted. The senior minister added that there are several points that must be included in any ceasefire plan, including the deployment of a multinational stabilization force in southern Lebanon, removing the threat of future Katyusha rocket attacks against Israel, disarming Hizbullah and setting in motion a plan towards the release of captive IDF soldiers.
 

Olmert charged, and then retreated at the first opportunity. It is his liberal cold feet that are causing such hesitation. He has no confidence in God. His lip service liberal religion loses all credibility when the rubber meets the road. This is not the man who will lead Israel to victory. Much like King Saul he will have his hide nailed to the enemy's wall. Israel needs a King David. A man who trusts God, and has the confidence needed to put Hizb'allah in their place. It is so sad to see a whimp like Olmert running the country. I expect the Jews are in for a terrible time. I know God is in full control. He may be letting the barbarians become over confident with this in and out battle plan? I know God can use even a whimp like Olmert to defeat His enemies. Olmert, by persecuting the Independent Fundamental Jewish Settlers has put himself in a bad way with God. Olmert intends to out do Sharon who forced 8,000 Settlers from their homes in Gaza. We have seen what happened to Sharon. Olmert is still intent on removing over 250,000 Settlers from Judah and Samaria. Even worse is the intent to give away most of Jerusalem and sovereignty over the Temple Mount to the Islamic barbarians. God has a way of making bad intents come back to bite!

Today, Olmert is back in, but his track record is terrible. Rather then being focused on victory, he seems to be focused on pleasing the world's politicians. A group that does not have Israel's best interests at heart. The marching orders ought to be fight until Hizb'allah dare never fire another rocket. Fight until the whole world can see the God of the Bible can't be intimidated by the heathen barbarians. Fight until Syria dare never send another militant outside their boarders. Olmert will probably fight until the first set back, and then whine for the US to come up with another ceasefire plan. Islam is in this fight to the death. The Jews must fight with the same determination, or they will lose. The Jews must fight for the God of their fathers. Islam wants to subject the Holy Land to Islamic Law. They refuse to ever submit to Biblical Law. Islam wants the Koran to replace the Bible in the Holy Land. God has brought forth the Jewish nation to break the Islamic back for this blasphemous thought. Now is the time that the Jews must fight.

The news report is he accepted the US ceasefire demands even while the tanks are moving into Lebanon. Well, if the war cost them almost nothing the peace is going to be heart wrenching. Folks, Olmert's heart was never in this battle, and we will now move into his liberal peace. The road to Armageddon is wide open. I'm sorry for those Jewish families who lost loved ones for nothing. I'm sorry for all those Jewish families who lost property to the rocket attacks again for nothing. I expect the spin for this phony peace will be great. Under the spin over 250,000 Independent Fundamental Jewish Settlers can now expect Olmert to show his furious hate for them that he never showed against Hizb'allah. Now, we will see real resolve by Olmert. Every single Jewish family living in Judah and Samaria will be evicted. There will be no exceptions. They will be evicted to the last woman and child. The Jews always respect their leaders. Olmert will go down in history as one of the worst. Oh for a David to follow this Saul.

 

Neighbors Smell Blood in Israeli Cease-Fire Acceptance

Arabs and Muslims from Iran, Hizbullah and the PA are celebrating Israel’s acceptance of the UN ceasefire, dubbing it a "surrender" and calling on Arab states to attack the new "weak" Israel.

“After one month of war against Lebanon's resistance, Israelis are the absolute losers and Hizbullah is the absolute winner of the war,” Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamida-Reza Asefi said Sunday. “The occupiers of Jerusalem failed, despite their military, economic, intelligence and diplomatic backings.”

The Iranian official said the Islamic Republic of Iran is “very pleased” with the ceasefire, according to state-run Iranian news agency IRNA. He warned, though, that attacks on Israel would continue as long as “occupation lingers.” He declined to outline whether occupation included retaining sovereignty in regions such as the Galilee – which Hizbullah chief Hassan Nasrallah has termed “settlements” in his wartime addresses. "Let us not forget that as long as there is occupation there is resistance," he added.

Hizbullah central council member Ahmed Barakat told Qatari newspaper al-Watan Sunday, "Today Arab and Muslim society is reasonably certain that the defeat of Israel is possible, and that countdown to the disappearance of the Zionist entity in the region has begun… If a mere organization succeeded in defeating Israel, why would Arab nations not succeed in doing so if they allied? Many Arabs and Muslims viewed Israel in a fictional way and the resistance has succeeded in changing this."

Barakat boasted that none of Hizbullah’s leadership were injured, and that the group still possesses thousands of rockets and other “surprises” for use in the days following the implementation of the UN ceasefire. He added that the remaining missiles and weapons allow Hizbullah to strike Israel from afar and do not require the group to be near Israel’s border.

“Secularists, Christians and Muslims alike refer to the Hizbullah leader as Palestine's newest and truest hero,” the Al-Jazeera report states. “Back at Manara square in Ramallah, Waleed Ayyoub is still selling the Nasrallah images to ‘all people of all ages - even little children.’ He is especially proud of a sale made to an Arab-Israeli woman from Haifa, fleeing the Katyusha attacks on her city.”

 

Israel fought a war without God, and now they are going into a liberal peace without God. The liberal government officials showed no shame in expelling the Independent Fundamental Jewish Settlers from Gaza. Now they will show resolve that they never showed in their attempt to wipe out Hizb'allah. Watch the resolve to expel every Independent Fundamental Jewish Settler from Judah and Samaria! They will be expelled from their homes to the last woman and child. The settlers will be given no choice. The government will show them it will use whatever force is necessary to remove them. Their resistance will be futile in the face of such resolve. These liberal politicians will show no mercy to the settlers who only want to obey the God of the Bible by occupying the Holy Land. God tells what His attitude is toward those who are not ashamed of their abominations. He says they will fall among them that fall. When He comes to visit the Jewish people these Jews shall be cast down. They didn't want God in their politics, and God does not want them in His coming Kingdom. We "born again" Christians will be raptured from the great apostate whore of today's Christianity, but these Jews will be left behind to face the God who wrote these words through Jeremiah. Pray for them dear friends that they may be turned.

A remnant of Jews will become faithful to God after the rapture of the "born again" Christians. They will have a personal relationship with their Messiah. The Apostate Christian Church will continue to preach about the gentle peaceable christ who would not hurt a fly. Who would never judge men, and cast them into hell.  A christ who would approve peace with the barbarians without a change of heart. The Jewish remnant will preach about their Messiah's soon coming as the Mighty LORD of hosts. Folks, Christ is not coming back to die on the cross which is where the gentiles would put Him. He is coming for His chosen people though only a remnant much as the truly  "born again" are only a remnant of Christianity. Jesus Christ is coming again as the irresistible Jewish King of kings, and LORD of Lords! He is coming back to the Holy Land. His foot will touch on the Mount of Olives which is the exact point where He left. He will walk across the Kidron Valley and enter Ezekiel's Temple through the East Gate. His glory will fill the Temple. The remnant of saved Jews will bow down to their redeemer king for whom they built the Temple. The end of the times of the gentiles will have arrived. The nations will be judged! Much like old King Belshazzar they will be found wanting. Only those who can bow down to this Jewish King of kings will enter into His Kingdom. Perfect holiness, perfect righteousness, perfect peace will rule planet earth. Only then will the peace of Jerusalem become reality.

This peace being reported today is no peace! It is the invention of evil men who must be cast down before the Biblical peace can come. True peace will only be for a remnant much like Noah and his family. A remnant such as those who are soon to be raptured, and will experience the marriage supper of the Lamb. The times of the gentiles will end seven short years after the rapture, and another phony peace treaty that the Antichrist will make with the Jews. The wrath of God is still to be manifested before real peace can come.

Friend, we are still in the Church Age dispensation though the days grow few. You can still come to Christ! You can have peace with the absolutely Holy God of the Bible. The LORD Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself on Calvary so your sins could be forgiven. He has promised to save every one who will come to Him in humble repentance with all their heart, soul, and might. This act of submission to the soon coming LORD of hosts is what He requires. You will no longer be His enemy. You will allow Him to lavish His love which has no bounds upon your worthless soul. Your soul for the first time will have value. It will have worth. You will become part of the remnant for which Christ died. Oh sinner, won't you come to Christ for salvation?
