Shin Bet urges opening of the gates to the Temple Mount

By Nadav Shragai

Officials in Israel's security establishment are entangled in an argument about the Temple Mount, and the dispute will undoubtedly engage Ariel Sharon's new government as soon as it is established. Talking with political leaders, Shin Bet security officials insist that the Old City's Temple Mount enclave ought to be opened for regular visits taken by non-Muslims. Some senior police officers have their doubts about this position; the police are divided on the issue.Shin Bet officials want to restore affairs on the Temple Mount to the situation which preceded Ariel Sharon's controversial visit there this fall, and the ensuing eruption of the Al-Aqsa Intifada. If the status quo isn't restored, the Shin Bet is concerned that extremist Jewish Temple Mount groups who have been angered by the area's closure could be driven toward desperate acts of violence against Muslims, or against the Al-Aqsa mosque and Dome of the Rock shrine. Israeli security officials refer to such a scenario as "an inevitable explosion in the pressure cooker."

An incident last Sunday in which ten Temple Mount activists were detained for questioning after trying to infiltrate the area should be seen as a portent, the Shin Bet agents believe. In terms of the tensions and despair which grip these right-wing Jewish groups, Sunday's incident is just the tip of the iceberg, they believe.

Though a ban against Jewish ritual and worship has been part of the Temple Mount status quo since 1967, a right of entry to the area is guaranteed by Israel law concerning holy sites. Before October 2000, security officials routinely allowed individuals and groups to exercise this right to visit the Temple Mount. Many tourists took advantage of the right; so, too, did Jewish Israelis, including members of various Temple Mount groups.

When it came to the Temple Mount groups, security officials allowed limited sets of visitors to go up to the site, under close supervision maintained both by the Waqf Muslim religious trust, and by Israel's police. For instance, the "Movement for the Establishment of the Temple" sent small groups to the Mount each week, on Tuesdays; the visitors were both members of the movement, and also persons who supported its goals and agenda. Also, leaders of West Bank yeshivas, like Rabbi Yehuda Amital (who is affiliated with the Meimad movement) regularly climbed up the Temple Mount for tours and visits that were not considered acts of Jewish rite or worship.

Throughout the past five months, such visits have been denied to members of the Jewish groups and sectors. Agents in the Shin Bet department which deals with Jewish extremists are worried about a doomsday scenario by which some lone Jewish terrorist, an individual without a criminal record, might try to attack Muslims in the Temple Mount area, or its mosques. These officials believe that the current policy of keeping the Mount gates closed tempts fate, unintentionally encouraging some such deranged individual to cross the line and perpetrate an attack which might light the fires of hatred and violence in Jerusalem.

The Muslim Waif has closed the Temple Mount to all but Muslims. It is a challenge to Israel, the world, and God about sovereignty. It is one thing to challenge Israel and the world, but a whole other thing to challenge God. This is the only spot on planet earth that God has chosen to call His personal dwelling place. He abandoned it a second time when Christ ascended to heaven almost 2000 years ago. It is now the center of the peace issue for Israel, and ultimately the world. This challenge by Islam is not going unnoticed by God. The Bible reveals the end of all challenges to this plot of land when Christ returns. It is presently in the news for a reason. It is presently being brought to the attention of this generation.

Read "This Place" for a Biblical account about the history of this plot of land, and the final peace in prophecy.

Zech 14:1-4
14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

Zech 14:8-12
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.

11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Zech 14:20-21
20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowl's before the altar.

21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

More Intolerance from Islam

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - The radical Taliban movement began smashing all statues from Afghanistan (news - web sites)'s rich cultural past Thursday, turning its back on urgent international appeals to save the ancient artifacts.

In Kabul, Mullah Qudratullah Jamal, the ruling Taliban's information and culture minister, said centers where the campaign had been unleashed included Bamiyan Province -- site of two soaring statues of the Buddha hewn from a solid cliff that are the most famous relics of Afghanistan's history.

``All statues will be destroyed,'' he told reporters. ''Whatever means of destruction are needed to demolish the statues will be used.''

``The work began early during the day. All of the statues are to be smashed. This also covers the idols in Bamiyan,'' he said.

Russia, Germany, India and Pakistan condemned the destruction and appealed to the Taliban to reconsider.

International alarm was first sparked Monday, when Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar ordered the smashing of all statues, including the two famous Buddhas that soar 125 feet and 174 feet above Bamiyan. ........;...

The Taliban has steadily conquered most of Afghanistan in recent years, and now controls its cities and highways.

The destruction of artifacts -- also under way in the national museum in Kabul, which housed a prized collection of early Buddhist statues -- has inflicted new damage to the Taliban's already poor ties with most countries.

Heavily criticized for its restrictions on women and for its public executions, the Taliban is recognized by only three states: Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Mufti Again Denies Wall's Jewish Link

In the latest Palestinian rejection of Jewish history,  the Palestinian Authority-appointed mufti of Jerusalem,  Sheikh Ikram Sabri, issued a religious decree on Feb. 20  which stated that the Western Wall is Islamic property  which has no connection to Jewish history.

According to his version of history, the Wall is  simply the western wall of the Aksa Mosque. As such, he  said, it should not be called the Western Wall or the  Wailing Wall but the Al-Burak Wall, after the name of  Mohammed's horse.

Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch, rabbi of the Western Wall,  said, "The religious ruling of the mufti of Jerusalem is  an attempt to distort history, which hurts attempts to  settle the Jewish-Arab conflict ... The Western Wall is  an eternal, ironclad property of the Jewish people, and  no ruling by Moslem authorities can change this."

Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Yisrael Lau said, "The Wall,  which is part of the outer wall of the Temple Mount, is a  historical fact which can never be called into question. ... The dreams, yearnings and accomplishments of  generations will not fail because of the nonsense of one  man." Nevertheless, Lau added, he is not completely  surprised by the attempt of the sheikh to rewrite history.

"If, in this generation, while there are still  Holocaust survivors who carry on their arms their numbers  from Auschwitz, and in spite of this there are still  Holocaust deniers, then there is no surprise that there  are those who are ready to distort and pervert the  historical truths of 2,000 years," Lau said.

Over the past year, Sabri, who has become known for  his extremist views, has twice canceled his participation  in interfaith conferences sponsored by the United Nations  because Lau was in attendance.

Analysis: Biblical plagues hit Britain

Farmers, vets and the government are grappling desperately to save the national herd from a new outbreak of foot and mouth disease. Fighting, rather, to save what is left of the national herd after $10 billions were spent in compensation for the last great slaughter of British cattle, only five years ago, to deal with the outbreak of mad cow disease. Hundreds of motorists spent last night in the cars as blizzards blocked the Glasgow-Edinburgh auto route. Trains to Scotland were cancelled. And Ireland and Northern Ireland - while trying to restore power to thousands of homes --stand united in sealing their ports and gates against the threat of Britain's latest blight infecting their own herds.

It seems March is coming in like a lion in more ways then one. Islam is on the move challenging the world to see history only through the eyes of Allah.  Of course, the Muslim clerics dictate just what Allah's eyes see. They seem bent on eradicating anything that is not Islam. Already the name of the Jewish Temple Mount in Jerusalem has been changed to Haram al-Sharif, and the Jewish Western Wall (The Wailing Wall) to the Al-Burak Wall by Islam's new history teachers. They are intent on intimidating the world to see history their way only. It will not be long after they eradicate Jewish terminology that they will then be intent on eradicating Judaism. The world is about to become very familiar with Al Burak the famous flying horse of Mohamed. We Americans have already been exposed to Dumbo the flying elephant so a flying horse will not be hard to swallow.

England once was home to Fundamental Christianity. The great Missionaries like Livingstone, Cary, and Taylor were all fundamental in doctrine. Soon after the Down-Grade controversy took place with C.H.  Spurgeon the die was cast, and liberal (apostate) Christianity gained control. Today the Christians of England for the most part are as lost as the Muslims. How quickly blessings can turn to curses! America now shows it's hatred for fundamentalism in it's attitude toward Bob Jones University. BJU has many flaws, but it remains Biblical. The dating practice of the Deep South was changed because it was not Biblical. A bold move by Bob Jones III. He was given little accolade for such courage, but he put the Bible first. This is what fundamentalism is about. It is above traditions. It is above loss of reputation or position. It is even above life itself. The Bible is always first.

Num 11:23
23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD's hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.

1 Kings 6:12-14
12 Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:

13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.

14 So Solomon built the house, and finished it.

Isa 55:10-11
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Jer 23:29-32
29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.

32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

John 5:24-29
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Caretaker Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak on Thursday finally requested police to meet with Islamic Waqf officials in Jerusalem and halt the reported destruction of antiquities on the Temple Mount.

Despite appeals from archaeologists, 82 Members of the Knesset and even leading Israeli doves, Barak has refused over the past year or so to order the halt unsupervised construction work on the Temple Mount which, according to persistent press reports, has resulted in the destruction or discarding of ancient relics dating back to the Jewish temple eras. But with only days
left in office, Barak appears to be responding to alarming new reports of bulldozing along the Eastern Wall of the Temple Mount compound, near the new grand entrance to the underground Marwani mosques created in the area known as Solomon's Stables. Barak's directive followed his receipt of a letter from the head of the Antiquities Department detailing the new construction........

A senior official in the Internal Security Ministry confirmed the construction work on Wednesday, THE JERUSALEM POST reported. In November 1999, the Barak government approved work on an emergency exit from the Marwani mosque in Solomon's Stables, an underground chamber altered to accommodate 10,000-15,000 for Muslim prayers. Waqf officials, however, opened a massive entrance instead, and have been working frantically ever since pursuant to a plan to pave or revamp the entire compound to make it one huge prayer facility, all considered part of the Al-Aqsa mosque and comparable in size to the grand mosque in Mecca.........

Throughout the past year or more of wanton Muslim destruction of the rich treasure trove of antiquities on the Temple Mount, neither the United Nations, it antiquities forum UNESCO, nor any of its member states condemned the Waqf's actions there. But in an interesting development that demonstrates the widespread international bias against Israel, the UN warned
Afghanistan's ruling Taliban on Friday of a devastating reaction if it continued with a campaign to destroy ancient rock-hewn statutes of Buddhas scattered throughout the mountainous country.

Taliban sources in Kabul acknowledged that mortars and cannon were being used to destroy the two giant Buddha statues in Bamiyan in central Afghanistan, defying world protests at the move. They consist of the world's tallest standing Buddha, measuring 175 feet, and a smaller Buddha standing 120 feet, which are listed as world heritage treasures......

Now comes the next round! Israel seems to be preparing to enforce it's sovereign rights to the Temple Mount. Be ready for an outcry from Islam as the tensions rise even higher. The call for a Jihad (Islamic holy war) will undoubtedly be heard from many of the Islamic communities.  I look to the North. An Islamic Gog seems to be gaining notoriety. It is the Gog of the North that Ezekiel identifies as a major player in the invasion of Israel prophesied in Chapters 38 & 39. They are utterly destroyed. The Last Jihad will open the door for the building of the Third Jewish Temple (Ezekiel's Temple) on the Temple Mount. It can all be about to happen while we watch.

Ezek 39:1-5
39:1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:

3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.

4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.

5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

Palestinian kids raised for war

Taught to hate, kill Jews through 'Sesame Street'-type TV show

Palestinian children are taught to hate Jews, to glorify "jihad" (holy war), violence, death and child martyrdom almost from birth, as an essential part of their culture and destiny.

As captured on an Israeli video documentary produced in 1998, which readers can view here, a "Sesame Street"-like children's program called the "Children's Club" -- complete with puppet shows, songs, Mickey Mouse and other characters --
focused on inculcating intense hatred of Jews and a passion for engaging in and celebrating violence against them in a perpetual "jihad" until the day the Israeli flags come down from above "Palestinian land" and the Palestinian flag is raised.

Palestinian children throwing rocks at an Israeli military vehicle.

In one song on the "Children's Club," very young children are shown singing songs about wanting to become "suicide warriors"
and to take up "a machine gun" to direct "violence, anger, anger, anger" against Israelis.

During the show, which features children aged 4-10, one young boy sings, "When I wander into Jerusalem, I will become a
suicide bomber." Afterward, other children stand to call for "Jihad! Holy war to the end against the Zionist enemy."

In another segment, a boy who appears to be no more than 8 or 9 years old chants: "My patience has run out. All Arab existence cries for revenge" against the Jews in Israel.

The documentary also juxtaposes the children's program with television news reporting, in which the news anchor - reflecting the same message the children are receiving -describes Palestinians as "noble, courageous" fighters, while describing Israel as "mean, fascist, racist, genocidal" and "Nazis."

Other "highlights" of the "Children's Club": *

Groups of children are gathered together, shouting for "Jihad against Israel." *

One girl, who appears to be in a Palestinian school classroom, sings of donning "battledress" to "attack the Zionists." *

A small girl chants the now-familiar ditty, "When I wander into Jerusalem, I will become a suicide bomber." *

An adult narrator reads material in a Palestinian school pamphlet: "I have raised my children for jihad and on the principle that they never give up on their land." *

One segment depicts a small boy on the street chanting, "Revolution until victory." *

Another boy is shown in class proclaiming, "We will settle our claims with stones and bullets."

In Palestinian school classrooms, the message is the same.

"It's very scary - it's a state-run educational system that teaches its children to be martyrs," said Meyrav Wurmser, Ph.D., an expert in Middle East politics who taught at the U.S. Naval Academy and Johns Hopkins. Wurmser is the author of the recently published book, "Schools of Ba'athism," in which she makes a comprehensive survey and analysis of Syrian school
textbooks. What she found is identical to what goes on with the Palestinians, she says.

"In the Palestinian case, what we see is the cynical use of children, who are exposed to a state-run ideology that pushes them to their death, in the name of Palestinian nationalism," she says. "Children are taught to idealize death, to view it as a positive. In many cases, they are told that death is not death at all, but rather the beginning of a new life."

Wurmser is currently the executive director of The Middle East Media & Research Institute, or MEMRI, and has published
extensively on the Middle East and Arab and Israeli politics.

Muslims mark the day in remembrance of Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son, Ishmael, as opposed to Isaac in the biblical account honored by Jews and Christians. Eid al-Adha is translated "Feast of the Sacrifice" and marks the celebration following the peak of the hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina, in Saudi Arabia.

On the second day of the hajj on Sunday, over 2 million pilgrims converged on Mecca, and 250,000 of those crowded in the Namira Mosque for a sermon from Saudi Arabia's top religious cleric Sheik Abdul-Aziz bin Abdullah Al al-Sheik. In his address, Aziz did not forget to send a holiday message to Israel.

"Jerusalem is in the hands of the raping Jews who are bullying our Muslim brothers in Palestine under the eyes of those protecting human rights. Where are these people who speak of rights, whose mouths spread venom on Islam?" he raged.

And in Gaza, PLO chief Yasser Arafat also used the religious holiday as a platform for incitement and continued hostility against Israel. Asked for his message to the Arab and Islamic world, Arafat told reporters the feast was a joyous occasion. "Despite the closure, this dangerous military escalation, the pursuit and the starvation, the Palestinian people are continuing our way until we raise the Palestinian flag over the walls of Jerusalem, the minarets of Jerusalem and the churches of Jerusalem," Arafat told reporters outside a Gaza mosque before climbing into his limousine.

This is the generation of Islam raised for Jihad. They have been trained  to hate. Arafat has proved beyond any reasonable doubt that the only satisfactory peace is Islamic domination over all religions in the land of the Bible.  He would raise the Palestinian flag over everything. Violence is the instrument, and hate is the motivation. A forever Jihad against Israel is ingrained into the heart of every child. From the littlest preschooler to the great top cleric, the message of hate against Israel is echoed. This generation will never be satisfied with anything less then a final Jihad. Their heart is fixed. Their determination can not be changed. This generation has chosen its fate as did the Amalekites of old.

Deut 25:17-19
17 Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;

18 How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.

19 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

1 Sam 15:2-3
2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.

3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

All those who would sacrifice children in the land of Israel will find God's wrath abiding on them.

Lev 20:2-5
2 Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

3 And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

4 And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not:

5 Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.

Protests Grow over Destruction of Buddhist Objects

Political leaders and various religious organizations  in Sri Lanka have joined the protest against the  destruction of the Buddhist monuments and heritage in  Afghanistan by the Taliban movement, according to reports  by Lake House, with Lanka Internet Services, Ltd.

The Palestinian Authority Parliamentary group met  yesterday and unanimously adopted a proposal to condemn  the Taliban movement's act and urge them to stop their destruction of Buddha and other statues. ....

This seems rather hypocritical coming from the same people who are intent on wiping out  Jewish history in Palestine.  The destruction of Jewish artifacts on the Temple Mount does not register with these folks as they chasten the Taliban for their destruction of the Buddhas.  This is the height of hypocrisy. I remember when the Gaza was given over to the control of the PA. There was in Gaza the only rendition of King David ever found. It was over a thousand years after the death of David, and not of Jewish origin but Christian. It was a mosaic found in the floor of a Byzantine Church, but it was David King of the Jews. The PA made a big deal out of every artifact in Gaza must remain in Gaza. They promised to respect all religious artifacts.  They then denied Jewish archeologists access to the mosaic. Finally someone non-Jewish managed to go into the old Byzantine Church. He discovered the part of the mosaic with the face of David had been gouged out of the floor. Later, when the PA could no longer hid the fact they claimed some deranged person  had snuck in, and done the dastardly deed? My thinking is it takes a deranged person to take seriously this condemnation of the Taliban by the PA.

Ps 63:11
11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

Jer 9:5
5 And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.

Saddam Gaining Control of Jihad

The "greatest danger" from Hussein, Baram said, is not his army -- whatever its size -- but his efforts to fuel the intifada and
to prevent Arafat from compromising on his goal to rule over all of "Palestine," including all of Israel.

"[Hussein] is the most popular leader in Palestine," Baram said, noting that the Iraqi leader has given $1 billion in food and
medicine to the Palestinians. He also gives a $10,000 check to the family of every victim killed in the violence, the professor

Where Does the Money Go?

Saddam is now the foremost champion of the Palestinian cause among the Arab world. He has funneled nearly $1 billion into PLO hands during the uprising and recruited millions of volunteers willing to launch "a jihad (holy war) to liberate Palestine." Saddam has also moved troops towards the borders of Jordan and Syria to threaten Israel. And just last week Arafat sent a letter to Saddam seeking more help and assistance for the Palestinian people.

Israeli security officials are closely monitoring Palestinian ties with Saddam, but admit they are powerless to stop it. Other recent reports claim that the PLO has finalized secret agreements with Saddam's regime that run into billions of dollars, and provide that Baghdad will become the control center for all of Arafat's activities should he leave Palestinian areas. These plans supposedly include provisions for a network of terrorist activity and even missile strikes on Israeli cities.

Widespread corruption within the PLO and Arafat's secret personal wealth assessed by Israeli security officials at tens of billions of dollars - have been a matter of growing concern, especially since the US, European Union and other states began donating aid to the Palestinian Authority under the Olso accords. At one point, the entire PA cabinet resigned in protest of
rampant corruption among Arafat and his top cronies. Arafat ordered a study of the problem, which was conducted by his own nephew and concluded that nearly half of foreign donor funds were unaccounted for.

A 1995 study on PLO assets and income conducted by the GAO, a research arm of the US Congress, was classified top secret, but a congressional source said it confirmed Arafat had hidden away $10 billion in one private Swiss bank account alone. A few years ago, former PLO staff members reportedly hacked into the organization's computer records and also verified billions of dollars in assets and investments. In another recent instance, Israeli officials acknowledged they were complying with Arafat's orders to deposit tens of millions of dollars in tax rebates owed to the PA in a private account he holds in a Tel Aviv bank.

A number of other books and reports over the years have documented the heavy PLO investment in real estate and factories in Europe, Canada, and Australia, in airlines and other businesses, and in stock in international companies.

Israeli officials charge that despite the hardships faced by Palestinians today, Arafat prefers to portray his people as victims of Israeli policies so as to gain world sympathy and funds, rather than dipping into his own deep pocket.

The man who sacrifices Palestinian children for the uprising seems also willing to let them starve if it promotes his personal ambitions. Hitler had the same attitude at the end of the war. He desired to let all of Germany be destroyed when defeat was immanent. He called the survivors cowards, and not worthy of his aspirations for Nazi Germany. How sad to see many world leaders give this man Arafat any credibility at all. How sad to put the blame on Israel for the death of Palestinian children. What a combination we are witnessing in Arafat and Saddam! How many of their own children will they be willing to sacrifice in a Last Jihad? These are the men of our today who have the power to pour out on Israel their hatred. They will never quit until they win, or every man, woman, and child is dead! It seems the world's hatred for the Jew is why such dastardly fellows have the international credibility they posses.

Lev 20:2-3
2 Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

3 And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

Molech is the pagan god of child sacrifice. It's arms were outstretched, and a fire was built between them. He was sometimes made of bronze, and the fire heated until the arms glowed. The child sacrifice was then thrown into the arms of Molech. The reason why parents would sacrifice their children to Molech was because the Molech priests promised them untold wealth that the rest of the family could enjoy. This being the fruit of such sacrifice. I'm sure Satan made sure enough of the participants would have such a testimony to encourage the practice.

Today, I'm reminded of this by those who preach the prosperity gospel on TV every time I hear a testimony of wealth gained after giving to such ministries. Moloch is alive and well as the children of the wealth seekers are sacrificed to this false Christian theology. It is Satan's deception, and a false Christ (a Moloch) that is being represented.

March 20, 2001

In another "Day of Rage" on Friday, Palestinian children took center stage at protests glorifying suicide bombings and waging jihad against Israel.

Hundreds of Palestinians participated in angry demonstrations on Friday and Saturday in Gaza, Ramallah, Nablus, Kalkilya and the Bethlehem area. At a rally sponsored by Islamic militants in Gaza, fourth-graders acted out a suicide bombing as adults cheered and threatened Israel with new attacks. And in a march in Nablus, Palestinian boys waving assault rifles rode on
their fathers' shoulders, a scene that has become more and more familiar since the start of the Palestinian uprising.........

On Friday, the terrorist faction Islamic Jihad staged a memorial rally for three children from families linked to the movement who have been killed in clashes in recent months. In the highlight of the rally, 15 children - all younger than 10 - staged a play about a suicide bombing in Israel, with the coaching of the adults.

A boy was dressed as a suicide bomber, wearing a black face mask, green robe and a little package wrapped in tinfoil strapped to his belt, meant to symbolize explosives. His voice muffled by the mask, he led other children in chanting, "We die for the sake of God." Another boy slipped into a cardboard box with an Israeli flag on it and lay on the ground, symbolizing the aftermath of a suicide bombing. In another part of the program, a young girl listened to fiery speeches, her light brown curls brushing against a pistol. Another girl with a white head scarf shouted into a microphone: "Raise the flag of Holy War."

Islamic Jihad leader Abdullah Shami defended putting children on the stage. "The Islamic nation and the Palestinian nation, from the small children to the old men, are ready to sacrifice for this land," he said. ......

Hate the Jew, hate the Jew, hate the Jew. This is the Islamic message drummed into the hearts of this generation born during the era of the Jewish return to the land (May 14, 1948). Never since the Hitler Nazi youth movement have children been taught such hate for the Jew. It is openly proclaimed that this generation is the generation prepared for the last Jihad.  Is it prophecy coming to pass in our generation? Does the Bible predict how these events will end? Can the God of the Bible literally control world events in this computer age?

Ex 15:6-7
6 Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

7 And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.

Num 10:9-13
9 And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

10 Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.

11 And it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.

12 And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.

13 And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

Ps 89:20-29
20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

Archaeologist: Temple Mount Lintel Neglected

A carved marble lintel, dug out of the Temple Mount rubbish  last year and identified as part of a gate to the Temple  itself, has been tossed carelessly in the back yard of the  Antiquities Authority (AA), according to archaeologist  Zachi Zweig.

"This stone - about 25.9 inches long and 19.7 inches wide -  is the most important artifact ever recovered from the  Temple Mount," Zweig told the Jerusalem Post.  "It is part  of a stately gate and it very well could have been from one  of the entrances into the Temple itself or to another  sanctuary."

According to Zweig, who is affiliated with the apolitical  Committee for the Prevention of Destruction of Antiquities  on the Temple Mount, the stone is the first archaeological  evidence of monumental architecture in the Temple Mount  that can be dated positively to the Second Temple period.  The Second Temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D.  during the great Jewish revolt.

Zweig reports that the stone has been resting in the back  yard of the AA headquarters in Jerusalem's Rockefeller  Museum for the past eight months.
Archaeologists have said that the finds had lost much of  their archaeological value, since they were not found "in  situ" but after they had been removed, sifted, and dumped.   Their only value is their origin inside the Temple Mount.

(By Arich O'Sullivan, The Jerusalem Post:

Shame on the Israeli Antiquities Department after all the notoriety given the destruction of artifacts under the Temple Mount by the Islamic Waqf.  To brush off this criticism by saying the lintel has lost it's value is hypocrisy. It is not just Moslems who have no regard for the heritage of God and the Bible. The anti-Bible liberals have long controlled the field of Biblical Archaeology. See my article on "Pomegranate or Almond Bud."  This is typical behavior expected by such bias archeologists when proof of the Bible is uncovered. They ignore it! They toss it off in the corner as irrelevant. No, it is not just the Waqf that must be held accountable for the care of Biblical artifacts.

Isa 65:11-12
11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.

12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

Deut 6:12
12 Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Deut 8:14
14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;

Deut 8:19-20
19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

20 As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.

Ps 78:6-7
6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

7 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:

Israel's Antiquities Authority has finally acknowledged that the Muslim Waqf is damaging antiquities with its extensive construction work on the Temple Mount.

Leading Israeli archaeologists have documented and decried the Waqf's wanton destruction of ancient artifacts on the Temple Mount in recent years and have led a public campaign to force the government to intervene. Yet under apparent instructions from former Prime Minister Ehud Barak, Israeli police and the Antiquities Authority have downplayed the seriousness of the

But on Wednesday, Authority Director-General Shuka Dorfman told the Knesset Education Committee, "I can categorically state in an unequivocal manner that there is archaeological damage being done to antiquities on the Temple Mount." Dorfman said that archaeologists from his Authority, which by law is responsible for supervising any construction work carried out at holy sites, have not been allowed on the Mount since the outbreak of violence in late September, and have had to rely on second-hand police reports. "We are not supervising what is going on at the Temple Mount, period," he said.

Committee chairman Zevulun Orlev responded, "There is no argument that an archaeological crime is being committed on the Temple Mount," and urged police to stop it immediately. The committee also proposed that the Foreign Ministry alert UNESCO of the damage, and that the Mount be opened to the media.

Upon receiving confirmation from a police representative that the Barak government had instructed police to allow trucks onto the Mount, Education Minister Limor Livnat said that she would "struggle with all her might" to change this policy under new Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. "The whole world was revolted at the destruction the Taliban committed in Afghanistan, but for us is what is going on at the Temple Mount no less important?" she said. "A nation which does not know how to value and protect its past history and existence - the most basic of which is the Temple Mount - will not be able to live here in the long-term."

These are the same hypocrites who carelessly threw the Second Temple lintel into the back yard of the Antiquity Authority building (see March 23, 2001) claiming it has lost it's importance. The Temple Mount to secular Jew or Islamic extremist is all about politics, and which way the wind is blowing. It has very little to do with the Bible or the God of the Bible.  Yet, the God of the Bible is drawing the Temple Mount into remembrance to a generation that would close their eyes and ears to Him. The events of today surrounding the Temple Mount go beyond religion be it Christian, Jewish, or Moslem. The God of the Bible is focusing the eyes of the world on one little piece of property that He claimed for Himself to Father Abraham some 4000 years ago in the book of Genesis.

Saddam calls for Arab armies to strike at Israel, ignores Kuwait

AMMAN, March 27 (AFP) -

Iraqi President Saddam Husssein called Tuesday on Arab states to mobilise their armed forces to liberate the Palestinian territories, rejecting any deals with Israel.

In a speech read to the Arab summit in Amman by Iraq's number two Ezzat Ibrahim, Saddam told Arab leaders to build "an army of men as concerned to sacrifice themselves as the Zionists are concerned for their lives."

"We do not agree to any deals on Palestine, all of Palestine from the Jordan (river) to the Mediterranean, including Jerusalem, its crown."

The speech did not mention Kuwait, which Arab leaders are working to reconcile with Iraq, a decade after Saddam sent his troops into the oil-rich emirate and sparked the Gulf war.

Saddam has rallied Iraqis to the Palestinian cause, offering millions of dollars and fighting forces since the intifada or uprising against Israeli occupation erupted last September.

Israelis are all Nazis, Assad tells summit
PRESIDENT ASSAD of Syria called Israelis “Nazis” yesterday and offered to “forgive and forget” the decision of Yassir Arafat, the Palestinian leader, to negotiate with the late Yitzhak Rabin.

Speaking at the start of the first Arab League summit in a decade, Mr Assad overshadowed Mr Arafat’s efforts to win support for the Palestinian uprising. His speech, which often assumed the tone of a lecture to the league’s 22 heads of state and their representatives, was delivered as a suspected suicide bomber blew up a bus in Jerusalem, killing himself and wounding a dozen others.

Mr Assad said that the Arab world had been “too emotional” and had failed to analyse properly the election of Ariel Sharon to head a national unity government in Israel. He said that successive Israeli elections had proved that Israelis in general “gave us nothing and took everything.

“It is the Israeli public and not just the leaders who are like the Nazis themselves,” he said in an improvised speech that could have been delivered by his father, Hafez, 20 years ago. The speech shocked foreign diplomats, many of them sympathetic to the Palestinian cause, who had gathered in Amman, the Jordanian capital, for the summit.

IDF vows to catch Hebron baby-killer
By Margot Dudkevitch

HEBRON (March 28) - The army will get the Palestinian sniper who took deliberate aim at 10-month-old Shalhevet Pass's head and pulled the trigger, said Hebron area commander Col. Noam Tivon yesterday.

He added that the army's shelling of a building used by the gunman was only a preliminary response, hinting that more action is in store. "The Palestinian sniper, a Tanzim activist, looked at the baby through his telescopic sight, aimed and fired," he said. Tivon noted that the sniper's first bullet grazed a three-year-old girl playing in the Avraham Avinu playground, and tore her shirt.

The details emerged yesterday after experts concluded their examination. The same sniper then fired two or three more bullets, hitting Shalhevet and her father Yitzhak. Tivon called on members of the Jewish community to maintain restraint and not take the law into their own hands, saying, "I promise we will lay our hands on the murderer." Jewish residents warned that if the army failed to retake the Abu Sneneh neighborhood they would do it themselves. No date has been set for Shalhevet's funeral, which was postponed in accordance with the wishes of the family, which has pledged to delay it until the IDF retakes the Palestinian neighborhood.

This is the new face of Israel. A heartbreaking image the world's major media does not want you to see. Slain 10-month-old baby Shalhevet Pas, who an Israeli Army spokesman said was killed by a Palestinian sniper in the West Bank, is shown here slipping from life. The baby's death sparked Israeli fury and a new round of violence this week.

What kind of hate does it take for a man to shoot at a little 3 year old girl playing in a schoolyard, and then at a baby in a stroller - killing the baby with a bullet to the head. It takes the kind of hate promoted at the Islamic Arab League Summit. Why were the 3 year old and the baby guilty of the death sentence by the sniper? Their guilt was that they were Jewish! Now these sophisticated Islamic leaders at the Arab summit re-enforce the hatred to even the most innocent. This hatred for the Jew will soon be the undoing of not just the Arab world, but all of Islam. Soon Islam will find itself committed to the last Jihad of Ezekiel 38 & 39. There is no other recourse for such hate other then total defeat if God is going to continue to preserve the Jew. Ezekiel 39 predicts just such a defeat on the Islamic Gog when the Last Jihad takes place. Do not be ignorant of what the Bible teaches for these last days. If Ezekiel 39 is coming to pass in our day, it can only be the Last Jihad! God always dealt harshly with Israel's enemies in the past, and will do the same with her present enemies. Those who hate the Jew take their lives and their fate into their own hands.

Ezek 35:4-6
4 I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

5 Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:

6 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.

Ezek 35:11-13
11 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.

12 And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.

13 Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.

Wreck shows Odyssey may not be myth
THE chance discovery of an ancient shipwreck in the middle of the Mediterranean appears to confirm that Hellenic mariners were capable of undertaking the epic journeys of Odysseus and other heroes.

Found 200 miles from Cyprus between Rhodes and Alexandria and nearly two miles beneath the surface, the Greek wreck destroys a view once held by some academics that ancient mariners shunned the open sea and stayed close to the coastline.

“It’s the deepest known ancient shipwreck ever located and shows that we tend to underestimate ancient peoples,” said Brett A. Phaneuf, of the Institute of Nautical Archaeology of Texas A&M University, who is helping to analyse the find. “They invented geometry, they had great astronomy, they were not timid and they understood that getting their goods to market quickly, efficiently and in bulk helped to turn a profit.”

As with so many spectacular archaeological finds, the wreck was found by accident. In early 1999, Nauticos Corporation, a deep-ocean exploration company based in Maryland in the United States, was using a robot linked to a surface ship by a long cable to search the Mediterranean for an Israeli submarine that had disappeared on her maiden voyage from Portsmouth with 69 crew about 30 years earlier. Suddenly it illuminated an extensive cluster of amphorae, most of them intact. There was also a metal cauldron and several lead anchors.

The site was videotaped, but the discovery was kept secret until the submarine was found and the wreck had been analysed by experts in America, primarily by the Institute of Nautical Archaeology. They believe that the ship was a Hellenic trader carrying wine and other items from the ancient trading centre of Rhodes and the nearby island of Kos to Alexandria, Egypt.

From the amphorae clustered over a mound 80ft long, the ship has been dated at 2,300 years old. Four similar wrecks are thought to lie near by. The finds will give more credibility to Homer’s tales of heroic seafaring adventurers travelling for days with no land on the horizon. Most wrecks of the period have been found in shallow waters.

I remember a college course I took in 1960 on Ancient History where the professor lampooned Helen of Troy, the Trojan Horse, the Iliad,  Hercules, the Odyssey, and in fact presented the whole Trojan war and fall of Troy by Homer as a fairy tale. I believed that early professor until I started to read and investigate on my own. I discovered Heinrich Schliemann had excavated in 1870 the city of Troas where Paul left the continent of Asia (Acts 16:11) on the very first missionary journey to the West. Schliemann found Homer's city of Troy at Troas. It was not a politically correct find, and so 90 years later my early professor continued refusing to validate his find perpetuating the mythical view of Homer. Today, it has all finally changed. It took over 100 years for liberal archeologists to admit they must eat crow.  Do not expect these fellows to bring to your attention any finds that confirm the Bible which they still present as a fairy tale as they did the writings of Homer.

2 Thess 2:10-12
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Mubarak: Arafat alliance with Iraq could spark regional war

Thursday, March 29, 2001

AMMAN — Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has warned the Palestinians not to form an alliance with Iraq and Syria, Middle East Newsline is reporting.

Arab diplomatic sources said Mubarak has sent a series of messages to Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat that warn of the consequences of his emerging alliance with Iraq and Syria. The sources said these messages warn Arafat that such an alliance would cost the Palestinians both political and financial support and lead the region into war.

On Tuesday, the Arab League summit heard an appeal from Iraqi President Saddam Hussein for an Arab war against Israel. "We do not agree to any deals on Palestine, all of Palestine from the Jordan [river] to the Mediterranean, including Jerusalem, its crown," Saddam said in a message read by his deputy, Izzet Eddin Ibrahim.

Arafat's alliance with Iraq and Syria began after the failed Camp David summit in July, the sources said. They said that by that time Arafat had embarked on plans to launch fighting against Israel amid pressure by the United States to reach a peace accord with the Jewish state.

Since August, cooperation between Arafat and Mubarak has been reduced, the sources said. The sources said Mubarak privately blamed Arafat for the widespread protests throughout Egypt in support of the Palestinians and against the regime in Cairo.

"They are on speaking terms," an Arab diplomat said, "but there is very little to say. You can say that the cooperation between the two men is on the level of rhetoric."

The Egyptian President knows well the direction Saddam and Arafat are going, and knows well the entire Islamic world will be drawn into this call for an all out final solution Jihad against Israel. I concur with his concern. This could well be the beginnings of Bible prophecy coming to pass in our lifetime.  Ezekiel 39 predicts defeat for the invaders of this future invasion. They will be destroyed on the mountains of Israel, and left to be devoured by the birds and beasts. Mubarak has good reason to be concerned!

Ezek 39:4
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.

Ezek 29:3-6
3 Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.

4 But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales.

5 And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven.

6 And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

Ps 50:10-11
10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

Isa 56:7-10
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.

10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

Hos 2:17-18
17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.
