Improvements Slated at Rachel's Tomb
21:58 Nov 02, '05 / 30 Tishrei 5766

(IsraelNN.com) Major General Yair Naveh, head of the Central Command, has promised that improvements will be made at the entrance and in toilet facilities at Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem.

Several leading rabbis recently toured Rachel's Tomb with Yair, who said improvements will be delayed until completion of the nearby security fence. The anniversary of the death of Rachel, the younger wife of the patriarch Jacob, is marked on the 11th day of the Hebrew month of Chesvan, which begin the night of November 13.

Israel's plan to stop Palestinian violence is sensationalized by Reuters as "splitting Christ's birthplace".

As Israel prepares to build a wall to protect worshippers at Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem, Reuters published this headline:

"ISRAEL TO SPLIT CHRIST'S BIRTHPLACE WITH BARRIER"

Reuters would have readers believe that Israel is driving a bulldozer straight through the Church of the Nativity. In fact, the proposed wall is miles from the church, and involves only 3.5 acres of land on the Jerusalem-Bethlehem border.

Apparently Reuters' agenda is to drive a wedge between the Jewish and Christian communities. To emphasize its point, Reuters repeats the word "Christ" or "Christian" in each of the article's first four sentences.

The Oslo Accords provide for freedom of worship at holy sites, yet two of these sites -- Joseph's Tomb in Nablus and the ancient Peace For Israel synagogue in Jericho -- have been vandalized and burned by Palestinians acting under the watchful eye of PA police.

In the past 29 months, Rachel's Tomb has endured constant sniper fire, and Jewish worshipers must currently travel there by armored bus. The proposed wall will guarantee free access for all worshippers.

In an unintentional endorsement of the need for this wall, a website under the direct supervision of the Palestinian Authority designates Rachel's Tomb as a mosque -- "Bilal Ibn Rabah Mosque." Should the PA control the area, non-Moslems would be precluded from praying at Rachel's Tomb, since the position of the Mufti and other PA religious leaders is that it is blasphemy for infidels (Jews, Christians, etc.) to pray in a mosque. (IMRA) http://www.palestine-pmc.com/details.asp?cat=1&id=59418/02/2003

It is interesting to note that Palestinian officials announced they will appeal to Israel's Supreme Court to halt construction of the wall. Let's appreciate the irony: Forget the fact that the PA provides no legitimate due legal process for Arabs, but can you possibly imagine Jews getting a fair hearing in a PA court?!

And finally, we wonder how many media outlets will properly describe Rachel's Tomb as "Judaism's third-holiest site"? After all, we are so accustomed to seeing the Temple Mount described as "Islam's third-holiest site," in the interest of fairness, the media will certainly reciprocate, right?

===== MORE REUTERS' BIAS =====

Reuters's anti-Israel bias pervades its editorial policies. For example, in answering a reader's question: "Why do you refer to 'Arab East Jerusalem,' when that's not its real name?" the Reuters website states:

"We call it Arab East Jerusalem to make clear this is the part of the city which is in the West Bank, was occupied in 1967 and is predominantly inhabited by Arabs/Palestinians, whereas West Jerusalem was occupied in 1948 and has a large Jewish population."
http://about.reuters.com/aboutus/editorial/#15

Read carefully. In the world of Reuters, East Jerusalem was "occupied" only in 1967, but no "occupation" status is accorded to Jordan's annexation of Jerusalem in 1948, which violated international consensus.

It is no wonder that Rachel was buried so close to Bethlehem. Her most famous mortal son David the mighty King of the Jews was to be born there 1000 years later. It was all part of God's great plan for the Holy Land. 1000 years after the birth of King David came one through this same seed, but who would be greater then David. Another King of the Jews, but one born miraculously of a virgin. A Jewish King planed by God to rule the entire planet, and establish a Kingdom that would never end.

There is no reason to doubt this Tomb is built on the authentic site where Rachel was buried. The history of this place is almost as old as time itself. The present conflict over this site has an age old origin of sorrow going all the way back to the days of Christ. The usurper King Herod was threatened when he found out Biblical prophecy was coming to pass in his generation. He feared the rightful King of the Jews would replace his usurped kingship. The murder of all the babies up to two years of age was his evil way of trying to keep his greedy possession of a title that was not his to claim.

Today, the Arabs acting like King Herod are trying to claim the Holy Land for themselves from the rightful owners. The story of the Jews is almost as old as the Bible itself. The Bible was turned into a Jewish Book from the 12th chapter of Genesis to the Book of Revelation. Clearly a mystery was revealed by Paul when he taught us about the Christian Church, but it is explained as nothing more then a wild branch grafted into the Jewish root.

Romans 11:17-18

17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
KJV

The Church Age is drawing to a close. The Bible is clear the next dispensation will be that of the Kingdom Age. The lament of Rachel over all these long ages will finally be comforted. Her seed, the seed of King David. The seed of the Jewish Messiah soon coming again to fulfill the prophecy found only in the Bible. He is coming again to deliver the Holy Land. The little town of Bethlehem so close to Jerusalem with all the richness it has as a birthplace will be delivered.

Friend, there is only one way for you to be delivered, and that is to accept this Christ of the Bible as your Savior. The door is closing on this present Age. The gentile branch will have lived out it's destiny. The true branch is quickly coming to life in this our generation. The root of old Abraham is surging forth to take the rightful God planed place in history. The Jews will be totally submitted to their soon coming King. It is to Him that you must also submit. Only His Kingdom is eternal never ending. You are either part of it, or you will abide under the wrath of God forever. The decision about Christ that you make is not taken lightly by God. It should never be looked upon lightly by his subjects either.

Matthew 2:6-18

6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.
17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,
18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

Dispensational Change needs to be examined. Read the many articles proposing how the change from the Church Age to the Kingdom Age takes place. Read about the importance of the Holy Land, Jerusalem, and the last Jewish Temple. Read about the Last Jihad, and other prophecies.

Read about me, and how I was saved. I'm really a NICE fellow.

Read about Charles Spurgeon's commentary on the Prayer of Jabez.

Exodus 32:3-7
3 And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.

4 And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

5 And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD.

6 And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt,
have corrupted themselves:
