Temple Mount Ramp to Be Removed
12:53 Jun 30, '06 / 4 Tammuz 5766
by Hana Levi Julian

A ramp which leads from the Western Wall to the Temple Mount will be removed by the Israel Antiquities Authority soon, putting into action a plan that has been on the table for the past two years.

The Mugrabi ramp, located in one of the most politically, militarily and spiritually sensitive places in the world, was nonetheless deemed unstable in February 2004 after one of its supporting walls collapsed in the Western Wall plaza.

At the time, city engineers said the ramp, which is used by non-Muslim visitors to enter the Temple Mount, should be removed. The ramp is also used by security services to access the area during riots.

The plan was put on hold, however, due to political and security concerns. General Security Service representatives nixed the idea, as did the Prime Minister’s military secretary. Plans for archaeological excavations at the site were also held up for fear of Muslim riots.

“Now that the Palestinian Authority is paralyzed and incapable of resisting,” an unnamed source told the Haaretz news service, “it is an excellent opportunity to carry out the plan.”

Fears of bloodshed nonetheless haunt archaeologists. “Digging in this place goes way beyond the archaeological sphere,” warned archaeologist Meir Ben Dov on Thursday. “This place is far too sensitive and the price would be much too high,” he said.

The Western Wall Heritage Fund was given responsibility for the holiest area in the world in January 2005. The organization is linked with Jewish groups that actively settle areas in East Jerusalem.

Archaeologists also opposed a plan by the Fund to build a bridge in place of the ramp, saying the structure would severely damage the archaeological site south of the ramp. The Israeli government had contributed NIS 5 million to the plan at the time.

11 Months Later, IDF Re-enters Former Jewish Towns in Gaza
11:13 Jul 06, '06 / 10 Tammuz 5766
by Hillel Fendel

IDF forces penetrated into Gaza, taking up positions in and near the three former Jewish communities of northern Gaza: Dugit, Nisanit, and Elei Sinai - from where Kassams have been fired at Israel.

The offensive has a new name - Bashan Oaks - but it is a continuation of the few-days old Summer Rains offensive. Officials say it is open-ended in time, and in fact no one can say with certainty whether the forces will remain in Gaza for days, weeks, or even longer. MK Tzachi HaNegbi, head of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, said that it could be "years." Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer (Labor), on the other hand, said that Israel would go in and go out at will.

The immediate objective of the mission is to stop the Kassam attacks by taking over the areas from which the rockets are fired.

Two more Kassams were fired towards Ashkelon last night, and one of them hit the city - sending 8 people into a state of shock. The other rocket landed near Kibbutz Zikim, south of Ashkelon, causing no damage. On Tuesday night, for the first time, a two-engine Kassam rocket hit the heart of Ashkelon, landing in a schoolyard in Israel's 5th-largest city.

Arabs in Gaza fired four anti-tank missiles at the IDF forces late this morning. No one was hurt, and the forces returned fire.

At the same time, the Karni Crossing has been re-opened for the passage of goods into Gaza. It has not been announced how long the crossing - which has been closed because of warnings of terrorist attacks originating there - will remain open.

The IDF's Golani Brigade entered northern Gaza after 2 AM, and continues to advance. Some of the units have already reached their destinations, such as in El Atatra, just south of Dugit, from where Kassams were fired at Ashkelon, a crowded built up area. Over the past few days, the forces have penetrated only as deep as 600-1000 meters into Gaza, but they have now already gone as far as 5-6 kilometers.

The forces have a non-offensive demeanor, in that they are very carefully protected from explosives and mines - which may have been placed there over the months that Israel was not in the area. In addition, the soldiers have been warned not to harm civilians.

"Our top priority is to protect and assure our soldiers' safety," Golani Brigade Commander Col. Tamir Yadai said. "Our second goal is to exact a price from the other side, and third, we want to make sure not to hurt civilians."

The IDF also attacked terror cells, buildings and access roads in northern Gaza last night.

Basically, we are right back where we started before the withdrawal from the Gaza. Is God making the anti-biblical plans of men foolishness? I only wish Jericho would be returned along with allowing the displaced Independent Fundamental Jewish Sellers to return to their homesteads. The houses and businesses that were left behind have all been pillaged by the barbarian crowds. The highly profitable hydroponics garden left behind intact was stripped bare. Even the underground piping was pillaged. I'm sure the settlers will be able to bring the land under their care into even better production if allowed to return. The land in the Gaza was blessed when the Independent Fundamental Jewish Settlers owned it. It is now cursed. It is rubble from where the barbarians fire their rockets of death. All that cursing of the land can change if the settlers are allowed to return. The settlers love the land because it is God's land. It is God who told them to possess it!

Leviticus 20:24

24 But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.
KJV

Only in the hands of the Jews will the land yield it's fruits. The Palestinian Arabs who live on the same land live in abject poverty. The world must support them financially because they can't live off the land. The Palestinian State the politicians talk so much about will be a perpetual welfare state just as it is today. This Holy Land will never give up the milk and honey to the barbarians. A forever curse is it's only yield to the animals who have sold their souls to the Devil Mohamed named Allah.

The closing of the ramp leading up the Western Wall to the Temple Mount is not a tragedy though it does remind one of the great Jewish crowds that once crossed Robinson's Arch in the same general area streaming over the Tyrophian Valley to worship God. This present ramp is mostly Palestinian Arab garbage dumped there during the Jordanian rule over Jerusalem. It is no wonder that it has no stability. Most of that contemptible garbage was willfully dumped by the local Arabs to intimidate the few Jewish Holy Men who could gain permission to visit the Holy Jewish Western Wall. After 1967, most of it was bulldozed away opening the plaza now so familiar to the world as the Wailing Wall where religious Jews now come to cry before the last remaining wall of the Second Temple platform. The Arabs who deny any Jewish historical presents on the Temple Mount did their best to cover it with garbage so it could only remain as a cursed memory. They never foresaw that their curse would be changed into a blessing when the Jews drove the Jordanians out of the city of Jerusalem in the 1967 War. The last of the Arab garbage dump pushed up against the Wall is about to be removed. The filth of these barbarians will not be missed. It was only a temporary entrance to the Temple Mount.

Ezekiel describes (Chapters 40 -48) the Millennial Jewish Temple yet to be built on the Temple Mount. I suspect the entire Mount will be bulldozed of all the filth accumulated over the last 2000 years. The Wailing Wall needs to come down. It represents a wall the Jews have established between themselves, and their God. They need to be free to enter their Temple not to be confronted by an immense wall which will no longer have an entrance from the West. The LORD Jesus Christ was crucified because He said no stone will be left upon another as He pointed to the Temple Mount complex. I suspect that statement still awaits a literal fulfillment.

Matthew 24:2-3

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another , that shall not be thrown down.

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
KJV

Little could His disciples have known that our generation may well be the one when all those stones will finally be removed in preparation for the building of Ezekiel's Temple. The last Holy Jewish Temple to be built on the Temple Mount. The very bedrock must be scrubbed clean of all the filth. It must be purified before Ezekiel's Holy Temple can be built upon it. It can't be built upon the corruption of the ages. It must be a pure foundation where construction starts.

Friend, there is only one pure foundation upon which salvation can be built. You must be cleansed through the blood of Christ. Won't you come to Him right now?

Victory over Islam is what God is preparing for His Holy Mount. Esau the seed Mohamed identified as the Arabic root will be as if they had not been according to the Bible. The Jewish Messiah will bring deliverance to Mount Zion. His holiness will be everlasting. Only those who are in Him will share in this soon coming victory over the heathen.

Obadiah 16-21

16 For
as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.
17 But upon
mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.
18 And the house of
Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it.
19 And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.
20 And
the captivity of this host of the children of Israel shall possess that of the Canaanites, even unto Zarephath; and the captivity of Jerusalem, which is in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south.
21 And
saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD's.

Kassams Continue to Fall, Some Ashkelon Residents Protest
15:04 Jul 07, '06 / 11 Tammuz 5766
by Hillel Fendel

A small group of people living in Ashkelon protested at the main Ashkelon entrance junction against the Kassam rockets that have begun hitting their city. Kassams hit Sderot throughout the day.

Some of the signs at the Ashkelon protest read, "Stop the Shmassams!" - a reference to a recent remark by Vice Premier Shimon Peres. Peres said that the people of Sderot should not be complaining so strongly about the Kassams attacking their town, and that Israel should categorically inform the Palestinian Authority that, "Kassams, Shmassams, we're staying in Sderot no matter what!"

In the meantime, several rockets hit the Negev city of Sderot, wounding three people with shrapnel (see below).

The protestors also demanded warfare against the terrorists, and not mere protection and reinforcement of shelters.

This was no massive outcry, however. One of the protestors, Meir Dana-Pecard, told Arutz-7, "The truth is, the people of Ashkelon have not yet woken up to what's going on. Just like in Sderot - at first no one took it really seriously, and only when it became a nearly daily affair and took on a genuine life-threatening air did people really begin to protest, with the hunger strike and the like. Here as well: people refuse to believe it. Some say, 'What are we, Sderot? They're only 25,000 people over there, but we're a real city, with 120,000 people, etc.'"

"Only when the rockets hit Tel Aviv will this country really wake up," Dana-Pecard concluded pessimistically.

Many Kassam rockets have been fired northward from Gaza at Ashkelon, Israel's 5th-largest city, over the past several months. Only a few, however, have reached as far as the industrial zone in southern Ashkelon. In the past week, the situation escalated dramatically when two Kassams hit the heart of the city on consecutive nights. On Tuesday night, a rocket landed in a schoolyard just as parents and children were engaged in registration for next year. The next night, one of two Kassams fired northward sent eight Ashkelon residents into a state of shock.

On Thursday, the first day of the IDF's Operation Bashan Oaks - a major ground offensive into Gaza - none of the eight Kassams fired at Israel hit Ashkelon. They landed, instead, in Kfar Aza, Sderot, and near Kibbutz Zikim south of Ashkelon, not far from the electric plant.

Friday's toll: At least seven Kassams have been fired since late last night, with at least five landing in Israel. Among them were two that hit populated areas in the city of Sderot, sending three people to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon with shrapnel wounds. Four people were reported suffering from shock.

Earlier today, a rocket hit Kibbutz Saad, causing a number of shock victims and damage to two cars. Another rocket landed near Sderot, damaging a gas station, and yet another one landed between Kibbutz Zikim and Ashkelon.

One Sderot resident, Kineret Rosenfeld, reflects the attitude of many of her neighbors when she says that Prime Minister Olmert and the government acted "maliciously" by waiting for the rockets to hit Ashkelon before responding. "I say this with sorrow, but there is a form of a caste system here," Rosenfeld told Arutz-7's Hebrew newsmagazine. "The settlers are Class D citizens, who 'shouldn't be living there anyway and if they get killed it's their own fault'; then come the residents of Sderot, who are Class C, then Ashkelon people who are Class B, and then perhaps the residents of the Tel Aviv area are Class A. Decisions as to whether and how to take military action are made, unfortunately, based on this."

A caste system is one way of looking at things. I'm convinced the real difference against those who are neglected by the government is their religious zeal. Their conservative bend makes them hated by the liberal politicians who run the country by majority rule. The number of Independent Fundamental Jewish Settlers is more accurately the factor that gives a city it's caste rating. The more rural, on the fighting front, cities are where most of the Independent Fundamental Jewish Settlers live. The liberals on the other hand live mostly in the comfort of the big cities. The religious zeal of these settlers can be summed up in their desire to obey God when He told the Jews to possess the land! A new territory of old Judah and Samaria was opened to the settlers when the Jews won the 1967 War taking possession of what is now known as the West Bank from the Jordanians. The city of Jerusalem fell along with the Wailing Wall and the Temple Mount. The religious Jews rejoiced, but the liberal Jews took control. Their first politically correct move was to give the Islamic Waft back the keys to the Temple Mount. The great blessing God had provided for the nation suddenly turned into a curse. It has been that way for almost the last 40 years now. The way was open for the Jews to build the Last Holy Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount, but they (the liberal majority) reneged on God. The settlers flourished on their new acquisitions of the Holy Land that was barren, and desolate to the roaming bands of barbarians now making claims to it. The settlers expanded out into Judah and Samaria experiencing the milk and honey God had promised. The big city liberals saw all the gains of the 67 War as a curse. Just like a hot potato they can't pass them back fast enough. Jordan wants no part of the Holy Land added to Israel's territories. They refuse to take them back. The only ones with their hands wide open are the barbarian Palestinian Arabs who live off of welfare. A society based on hate against the Jews they unanimously voted for Hamas terrorists to be their government representatives. Today, the settlers seem to be at the bottom of the caste list even lower then the barbarians. They suffer for their commitment of obedience to God. That will soon change.

The LORD God of the Bible promises He will circumcise the hearts of a remnant of Jews, and they will love Him with all their hearts and souls. They will love His land, and honor Him there. His Temple will become their greatest priority, and what the gentile nations think will never influence their obedience to God. They will do what the generation of 67 did not do. Revelation is the book that reveals just how God intends to build the Last Holy Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount. It will be the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11, and 144,000 Jews of Revelation 7 living on the lands of the 12 tribes of Israel who will build Ezekiel's Temple on the Temple Mount.

Revelation 11:1-4

11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Revelation 7:4-8

4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.

6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthali were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.

8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

Friend, today it is still the Church Age, and you can be saved by just coming to Christ. In the next dispensation you will be required to go to Him, and plead your forgiveness on the basis of His shed blood. You will have to go to the Holy Land, to the city of Jerusalem, and go to the Holy Jewish Temple that will stand there. You will be required to go into the very presents of the Jewish Messiah, the LORD Jesus Christ, to gain the salvation offered by grace. It will be administered individually as it is today, but then you will have to go. Friend, today you need only come in prayer. I really don't know how every single soul will be saved in the next dispensation, but I do know you can be saved right now if you will only come to Christ. Won't you come?

Zechariah 8:12-15

12 For
the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

13 And it shall come to pass, that
as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.

14 For thus saith the
LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not:

15
So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.

Ahmadinejad: Conditions for Removal of Israel Are at Hand
20:16 Jul 09, '06 / 13 Tammuz 5766
by Ezra HaLevi

Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, clearing up any ambiguity in previous calls to “wipe Israel off the map,” now used an Arabic word for the removal of body hair to describe his plans for Israel.

“All the conditions for the removal of the Zionist regime are at hand,” Ahmadinejad told an Arab Conference of Iraqi Neighbors meeting Saturday. For the first time, he employed the Arabic word ezaleh, which is used to describe the irreversible removal of body hairs or a woman’s virginity.

“Nations in the region will be more furious every day. It won’t take long before the wrath of the people turns into a terrible explosion that will wipe the Zionist entity off the map,” Ahmadinejad told the foreign ministers of Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, Bahrain and Egypt. The heads of the Arab League and the Islamic Conference were also present, in addition to a special United Nations representative.

None of the foreign ministers present, including Jordan, Egypt or Turkey – commonly regarded as Israel’s friends in the Arab/Muslim world - objected to the call for annihilation. Instead, the following statement was issued: “The Arab foreign ministers participating in today's Tehran meeting expressed their strong condemnation of this continuing and increasing aggression against the Palestinian people."

The Iranian president went on to blame all of the region’s troubles on the Jewish state. “"The basic problem in the Islamic world is the existence of the Zionist regime, and the Islamic world and the region must mobilize to remove this problem. It is a usurper that our enemies made and imposed on the Muslim world, a regime that prevented the progress of the region’s nations, a regime that all Muslims must join hands in isolating worldwide.”

He ended with a call on all nations to cease their support of Israel. “[All nations] should realize that their support for the illegitimate, usurper, Zionist regime is a mistake. The waves of fury of Muslim nations will not be confined within the boundaries of the region, and the people who close their ears to the cries of the Palestinians and blindly support this regime will be responsible for the consequences.” "I tell them to dissociate themselves or face the terrible consequences.”

Since Ahmadinejad’s call to “wipe Israel off the map” last October, some academics have claimed the Iranian leader was mistranslated or misunderstood.

"Ahmadinejad did not say he was going to wipe Israel off the map, because no such idiom exists in Persian," left-wing University of Michigan professor Juan Cole told the New York Times. "He did say he hoped its regime, i.e., a Jewish-Zionist state occupying Jerusalem, would collapse…Since Iran has not attacked another country aggressively for over a century, I smell the whiff of war propaganda."

Jonathan Steele of the British Guardian newspaper also told the Time: "The Iranian president was quoting an ancient statement by Iran's first Islamist leader, the late Ayatollah Khomeini, that 'this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time,' just as the shah's regime in Iran had vanished. He was not making a military threat. He was calling for an end to the occupation of Jerusalem at some point in the future. The 'page of time' phrase suggests he did not expect it to happen soon."

Neither of the two have responded to Ahmadinejad’s latest clarification and call to action, which were translat ed and distributed by the Iranian state-run IRNA news agency.

The Iranian leader's threats are particularly significant as the Islamic Republic continues to pursue nuclear technology and world bodies continue to pursue diplomatic means of inducing Iran to give up its nuclear aspirations.

I know Iran is a key player in the Ezekiel prophecy dealing with the end of Islam. I understand that the last Holy Jewish Temple can never be built as long as Islam has an influence in the Middle East. Iran is clearly the Eastern prong of a three pronged Islamic invasion of Israel that ends in total disaster for Islam. God has removed evil systems greater then the Moslem threat of today. Just in the last generation the Nazi menace that threatened a thousand year reign of the Third Reich ended as only a bad memory of human history. Islam which has the same hate for the Jews as the Nazis is a much smaller fly that God will dispatch very soon. The Nazis embroiled the whole world in World War Three, and God took all the armies of the world to end their reign. Islam's end will be of a different sort. Too few men gave God the credit for working His plan to end the threat against His chosen people in World War Three. The gentile nations claimed more credit then the God of the Bible was given. This time there will be no doubt when the downfall of Islam takes place. God has made it very clear in the Ezekiel prophecy of Ezekiel 38 & 39 that He will be made known not only to the heathen, but also to the Jews that He is the destroyer. He will not use the nations, but will act alone. Even Israel will be lulled into a false sense of rest, and security just before the invasion takes place.

One of the most horrific accounts of destruction of a people found in all literature is found in Ezekiel 39. A feast God calls it for the vultures, and other scavenging foul along with the wild beasts of the field. The barbarians are not going to take control of the Holy Land, Jerusalem, or the Temple Mount. I don't know how much of the Holy Land the liberal majority of the Jews will give away as they try to convince the world they know more then God about how to bring peace to the world? I do know it will not be for long! I know a false peace is coming that will cause the Jews to put down their guard. Invasion will end all expectations that men can ever bring peace to this corrupted world. God alone will be the only place for men to find refuge in these coming days.

Friend, God has purpose in what He is doing in the Middle East right now. His intent is to build Ezekiel's Temple on the Temple Mount so the LORD Jesus Christ can sit on His earthly throne for His 1000 year rule over the planet. Islam must go! It is a corrupt religion which has drawn the worst barbarians of our day together. Their hate for the Jews even surpasses that of the Nazis. Friend it is just not Islam that is coming to an end. The Bible is clear the times of the gentiles is also about to end! A Jewish Kingdom with a Jewish King is about to replace gentile rule. The LORD Jesus Christ is about to establish His Kingdom in the Holy Land, at Jerusalem, and on the Temple Mount! Have you put your trust in Him for your salvation? Have you come to Him for the forgiveness of your sin? There is no other Savior! Won't you come to Him right now before it is too late? Nothing is going to stop God from fulfilling all He has said in the Bible. Do not let this opportunity to come to Christ pass you by.

Olmert: My Unilateral Withdrawal Plan is Still On
15:43 Jul 10, '06 / 14 Tammuz 5766
by INN Staff

PM Ehud Olmert says his unilateral withdrawal plan from Judea/Samaria will proceed, despite the results of last year's withdrawal and expulsion of Jewish residents from Gaza.

The plan calls for the expulsion of at least 70,000 Jews from more than 25 communities in Judea and Samaria, and possibly several neighborhoods in Jerusalem.

Olmert spoke Monday at a news conference in Jerusalem for foreign journalists. “I have not changed my mind over the past few days regarding the ‘convergence’ plan and I am determined to continue on my road to the ultimate separation from the Palestinians and to attain secure borders that will be recognized by the international community,” he said.

Olmert acknowledged that Israelis have not had one day of quiet since the Disengagement from Gaza in August 2005 in which nearly 8,000 Jews were expelled from their homes. “There has been no occupation in Gaza since August last year,” he said, “and since then there hasn’t been one day of quiet for the citizens of Israel.”

The prime minister added that Arab terrorists in Gaza have been trying to kill innocent Israeli citizens every day. He noted the violence that resulted in the capture of IDF Corporal Gilad Shalit on June 25 has only exacerbated the situation.

He said, not for the first time, that the Hamas government is responsible for the terrorists who continue to hold Shalit hostage. He emphasized that Israel has no desire to topple the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority government, but does indeed intend to take the steps necessary to “prevent terrorists from inflicting terrorism on the Israeli people.”

Olmert added, "We want to separate in a friendly manner and to live alongside each other in a peaceful way,” but said that if "the terrorist organizations impose a violent confrontation, both Israelis and the Palestinians will have to bear the consequences."

Regardless of the continuing onslaught of Kassam rocket attacks on southern Israeli Jewish communities and the kidnapping of Corp. Shalit, Olmert said nothing would hold back the second expulsion. It is slated to begin shortly, beginning with small outposts in Judea and Samaria.

“It won’t stop the inevitable process of separation of Israelis and Palestinians,” he said.

With regard to reports by the Arab press that Israel has agreed to a prisoner swap with the terrorists in order to secure Shalit’s release, Olmert firmly denied the stories, saying Israel will not negotiation with terrorists. “I will not release prisoners to Hamas as a trade for Corporal Gilad Shalit,” he said.

Military operations in Gaza have gradually increased since the IDF began its incursion three days after Shalit’s capture. The army and air force have focused their efforts on preventing the terrorists from transporting Shalit out of Gaza, and on destroying the terrorist organizations and infrastructure as a means of reducing the number of rocket attacks on Israel.

Imagine President Roosevelt being so out of touch with reality that he would be calling on America to remain calm, and maintain the peace course we were on after Pearl Harbor took place? The declaration of war on Lebanon by Olmert is hardly a statement that would strike fear in the hearts of Hizbullah after what he said about his determination to follow through with the Road Map regardless. The world watches Olmert stick his toe into Gaza, and Lebanon all knowing it is too hot for his liberal tolerances. I suspect he will pull back much quicker then he ventured in. Basically, nothing will change. Both Hamas, and Hizbullah will continue their blood thirst against Jews. They will only become better supplied, and better organized in their deadly business.

The magnitude of this response by Israel in both Gaza and Lebanon is surprising, and does give some hope. The value of it will depend on how long the army sustains the effort. In and out will do nothing. A sustained attack that lasts as long as it takes to break the Islamic Arab terrorists back will be the only route for a good result. I think Syria must be toppled. I know Iran will never submit because the Bible identifies Persia as the Eastern prong of the Biblical Islamic Invasion of Israel. Syria should be the goal for Israel at this time. Iran is far enough away that should the back of the Syrians be broken the Iranian supported terrorists would be hard pressed to keep up local actions against the Jews. I can envision a sliver of temporary local peace with the fall of Syria.

Time will tell which way this present serge of war will go. The battle is over the Holy Land! Which book accurately presents the true future for not just the Holy Land, but for the entire world? The Bible says the Jews will prevail. The Koran says it will be the Arabs. I already know the answer, but the world must still be confronted with obedience to the Biblical God. The world is about to be forced to submit to His soon returning only begotten Son! On that day there will be no options.

Friend, have you come to the LORD Jesus Christ for your salvation? Do you know the Jewish Messiah as your Savior? Will you be justified by Him as will the seed of Israel mentioned in Isaiah 45:25? Friend, why not come to Him right now?

Isaiah 45:21-25

21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together:
who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

22
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

23 I have sworn by myself,
the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow , every tongue shall swear.

24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength:
even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

25 I
n the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

Joel 2:1-3

2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion , and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

Security Researcher: PA in Gaza Connected with Hizbullah Kidnappings
17:00 Jul 13, '06 / 17 Tammuz 5766

(IsraelNN.com) There is a "clear-cut connection...between the authorities in the Gaza Strip and the two additional kidnappings of Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon," according to Dr. Dan Scheuftan of the National Security Studies Center at the University of Haifa.

He said the terrorists operations are not one-time actions but are part of "an extensive military confrontation that in the final analysis will determine the rules of the game between Israel and elements at war with her, for example, in Lebanon and Syria."

Dr. Scheuftan added that he would not be surprised if Hizbullah rockets hit the Haifa area.

Israeli army attacks Lebanon

BEN LYNFIELD IN JERUSALEM

ISRAEL last night pledged a "severe" response and braced for a possible rocket barrage from Lebanon by the Shiite fundamentalist Hezbollah organisation as it began retaliating for the capture of two of its soldiers and the killing of eight others.

Israeli ground forces surged into Lebanon for the first time in six years to chase after Hezbollah fighters who captured two soldiers and killed three others in a cross-border raid. Five soldiers were killed during the advance, including four in a tank destroyed by an explosive device.

Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert, already grappling with a crisis in the Gaza Strip over a kidnapped soldier, convened his cabinet in an emergency meeting after the Israeli air force mounted repeated strikes on Hezbollah targets and destroyed several bridges in Lebanon, killing two civilians, according to Lebanese security officials.

"Israel is required to respond with the severity required by the aggressive action of Hezbollah," a statement issued by the cabinet said. Israel Radio reported that the ministers discussed the possibility that Hezbollah would respond to Israeli retaliation by firing rockets deep into Israel and ordered preparations for this.

Five Israeli civilians were lightly wounded by Hezbollah shelling that coincided with the raid, army officials said. Mr Olmert held the Beirut government responsible for the infiltration by Hezbollah and for the well-being of the soldiers. "This was an act of war without any provocation, on the sovereign territory of the state of Israel," he said.

It was another setback for the Middle East's most powerful army, less than three weeks after Palestinian militants stunned the Israeli military with a cross-border raid from Gaza in which they captured army corporal Gilad Shalit.

Hezbollah's raid opens up a second front for Israel with Muslim militants in addition to its military efforts to crush the fundamentalist Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, stop rocket fire and gain the release of Cpl Shalit. Twenty three Palestinians were killed yesterday by the Israeli army during the bloodiest day in Gaza since Cpl Shalit's capture.

The Israeli airforce dropped a bomb on a three-storey residential building in Gaza City where the army said top Hamas commanders were meeting. A lecturer at the Islamic University, Nabil Selmeya and eight family members, including small children, were killed.

Thirty five people were wounded in the airstrike. Israel's dovish Yesh Gvul movement termed the bombing a "war crime". The military said that Hamas armed wing leader Mohammed Deif and others were planning attacks during a meeting in the building. The Israeli army said that Deif had been wounded, but Hamas's Izzedin al-Qassam military wing denied this.

In Beirut, Hassan Nasrallah, the Hezbollah leader, said the soldiers were in a "very secure and very remote place. The soldiers will be returned on one condition only: indirect negotiations for an exchange of prisoners," he said. He warned "we are ready for all possibilities and if Israel chooses confrontation it should expect surprises."

Meanwhile, Hamas termed Hezbollah's capturing of the soldiers "a blessed gift to the struggling Palestinian people." It called on Hezbollah to join it in "a complete and unified Palestinian-Lebanese deal" that would free Arab prisoners held by Israel.

Mr Olmert ruled out any deal with Hezbollah, as he has in the case of Cpl Shalit, but analysts said he will likely be forced to bargain in both cases.

The US and the EU voiced deep concern, while UN General Secretary Kofi Annan called for the immediate release of the kidnapped soldiers and condemned Israel's retaliation in Lebanon.

I suppose the most well known secret is now out of the bag. That Islam is united in the destruction of Israel. Many have tried to separate the different factions of Islam into individual entities, but now it should be clear the Palestinian Authority Government is sleeping in the same bed as the worst terrorists of Hamas. Hamas and Hizbullah have long worked together with the Syrian and Iranian governments, and I suspect the rest of the Islamic world prays for their victory on the sidelines. Islam is good at showing one face when they speak in English, but a totally opposite face when they talk in Arabic. The unity of Islam centered in their desire to destroy Israel will be their end according to the Bible. The world witnessed the fall of Nazi Germany, and now will witness the same fall of Islam. It is the blood lust hate for the Jews that unites both Nazi and Islamic, and that uniting factor brings the same destructive wrath of God upon both. Segments of mankind never seems to learn from history. Islam blinded by hate follows their barbarian leadership into the same hell hole the Nazis found at the end of World War Two. Read Ezekiel 39 if you want to know how the wrath of God will deal with Islam. This may well be the most horrific end to a group of people ever recorded in the history of literature. Proud Islamic princes leading hordes of barbarians only to find death at the end of their quest. The coming Islamic invasion of Israel ends as Islamic fodder for the fowl of the air, and beasts of the field. I suspect the wild pigs will feast on the bodies of these fallen barbarians.

Ezekiel 39:17

17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
KJV

I don't know if this present escalation of the war will end in the invasion of which the Bible speaks. I do know the Bible talks of a false peace before the invasion takes place. I suppose the attempts at implementing the Road Map could fit as that phony peace, but I would not be surprised if this escalation leads to a more comprehensive false peace more intone to what I think the Bible reveals. The fall of Syria would open the door to the more comprehensive false peace that I'm expecting before the Biblical invasion of Ezekiel 38 & 39 takes place.

Ezekiel 38:7-8

7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
KJV

Ezekiel 38:11-12

11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
KJV

Folks, the time is getting short when God is going to change dispensations. A great change as great as that between Old Testament, and New Testament economies is about to come upon the planet. The well prophesied Kingdom Age is about to be established in the Holy Land, at Jerusalem, and on the Temple Mount. We are about to witness the end of the Church Age, and with it the end of the times of the gentiles. The LORD Jesus Christ is coming again as the King of the Jews. His Jewish Kingdom is predicted to overwhelm the entire planet for a thousand years. Righteousness will reign with our perfect King when He sits on His earthly throne in Ezekiel's Temple (chapters 40 - 48).

Ezekiel 43:7

7 And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne , and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.
KJV

The time is short dear friend for you to come to Christ before dispensational change overtakes you. Won't you turn to Him right now? Won't you humble yourself before Him, and ask Him to forgive you of your sins? He shed His blood on Calvary that sins could be forgiven. At His command your sins can be washed away. Won't you come to Him right now for cleansing?

Joel 3:16-18

16 The
LORD also shall roar out of Zion , and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

17 So shall ye know that
I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion , my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

18 And it shall come to pass
in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Ahmadinejad warns against strike on Syria
Iran-Syria ties reach alarming levels

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned Israel that if the current IDF offensive in Lebanon was extended to Syria, the move would be equivalent to an attack on the Islamic world and Iran would respond with "crushing" force. Syria and Iran are the top sponsors of the fundamentalist Shi'ite Hizb'Allah terrorists in Lebanon.

"If the occupying regime of Jerusalem attacks Syria, it will be equivalent to an attack on the whole Islamic world and the regime (Israel) will face a crushing response," Ahmadinejad told the state-operated Iranian news agency, IRNA.

Ahmadinejad, known for his blistering anti-Israel rhetoric, made the comments in a telephone conversation with Syrian President Bashar Assad to assure him of his unequivocal support for his terror-supporting regime.

On Thursday, Israeli intelligence reported that it had information that Hizb'Allah guerrillas were trying to transfer the soldiers to Iran, apparently to prevent Israeli troops from rescuing them. In response, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman denied Israeli allegations that the two Israeli soldiers captured Wednesday were being transferred to Iran. One top IDF official told the Associated Press on Wednesday that Israel did not intend "at the moment" to take action against Syria over Hizb'Allah's capture of the soldiers.

Over 700 rockets fired at Israel

Jets pound Beirut, Hizb'Allah positions

Over 700 Katyusha rockets and mortar shells have been fired on northern Israel in the current offensive in Lebanon, a senior IDF official told The Jerusalem Post on Friday. This continuous barrage of rockets includes several Katyushas that landed in Nahariya and the surrounding area and one that hit a house in Kiryat Shmona early Friday afternoon.

On Thursday, in a drastic escalation of what has become a full- blown war across Israel's northern border, Hizb'Allah fired Katyusha rockets that landed in Haifa, Nahariya and the Galilee sity of Sefed while the IDF laid siege to Lebanon, imposing a naval blockade and bombing Beirut's international airport.

Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz vowed to "break" Hizb'Allah after the attack on Haifa, which was the farthest-reaching strike that the fundamentalist Shi'ite terror group has managed against Israel to date.

Late Thursday night, the IDF's Home Front Command ordered up to a million residents throughout the North - including Haifa, Acre, Nahariya, Safed, Kiryat Shmona and nearby communities - to stay in their bomb shelters and safe rooms in case of additional attacks. So far, three Israeli civilians have been killed and over 120 injured, many critically, in the overwhelming Hizb'Allah missile attacks.

In response to the attack on Haifa, a city of 270,000, high-ranking IDF officers threatened to strike a residential neighborhood in southern Beirut, a known Hizb'Allah stronghold and, according to IDF Chief of Staff Dan Halutz, home to all of the terror group's leaders including Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, the mastermind behind Wednesday's kidnapping attack.

Peretz pledged on Thursday night after security consultations in Tel Aviv that the IDF would destroy Hizb'Allah. " Hizb'Allah has broken all the rules. So we plan to break the organization," he told reporters.  "If the government of Lebanon fails to disarm Hizbullah as is expected of a sovereign government, it will continue to pay the price for its mistakes," Peretz said

Israel also expanded its offensive Friday morning, conducting pre-dawn air raids on fuel tanks and power stations in Beirut and on the Mediterranean coast north of Sidon. Late Thursday evening, three people were reportedly killed when the air force bombed the highway linking Beirut to the Syrian capital of Damascus, destroying the main travel artery between the two countries.

The Iranian official news agency, IRNA, reported that in a phone conversation with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Syrian President Bashar Assad had said his country was not intimidated by any Israeli threat and that an attack on Syria would be a mistake that would trigger a swift response.

Eight People Killed in Katyusha Attack in Haifa

A wave of ten Katyushas hit a railway depot in Haifa, followed later by another wave at the city, and elsewhere in the north, that also caused injuries. Six of the wounded are in serious condition.

Never in the history of mankind have the weapons of mass destruction been available to a disgruntled few. In the past the only way to produce mass destruction was to raise up a mighty army. It was the sole domain of Kings and despots who had to maintain popular support, and have an impenetrable inner circle that prevented assassination. Today, technology is the cat that has been left out of the bag. It is no longer the exclusive tool of only the most advanced nations. We are watching the few having access to technology supplied by the rouge Islamic nations to kill Jews. I think we all know what will happen when Iran develops atomic bombs. They will never use them inviting total nuclear retaliation, but will pass them on to a group like Hizbullah to do their dirty work.

Israel was caught by surprise as to how much technology is now in the hands of the terrorists. Olmert far underestimated what Hizbullah is able to do. All of Israel now realize how great is the threat of both Hamas and Hizbullah. The Bekah Valley in Lebanon is the key to breaking the back of Hizbullah. It will most probably be a bloody conquest for the Jews, and will certainly bring Syria into the conflict. I suspect should the United States mass an attack force on the boarder of Iraq and Iran that Iran will back out of this conflict. This present escalation could go in Israel's favor should the Bekah Valley fall into their hands. It will not lift them out of the curse for not building God's House on the Temple Mount when He provided the open door to do so, and I think this next coming peace when the guns all stop will be only opening the road to Armageddon.

What I don't see happening is an overwhelming Jewish movement to build the Last Holy Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount. Only when I see that happen will I expect God to intervene for the Jews. Things have not been going well for Israel since 1967. The blessings have all turned into curse. This present conflict I think will only enforce the curse that has fallen upon the Jews. It may well result in a new peace, but it will be a false peace contrived by men. A peace that leaves out God will not have the blessings of God. A phony peace that will only lead to the Islamic invasion of Ezekiel 38 & 39 is all I see for the present. Israel is not in good standing with the LORD! The liberal majority controlling the country are all man centered, and not God centered. A change in the hearts of the Jews must happen before they again will experience the blessings of God.

Ezekiel 11:19-21

19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh :

20 That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

21 But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD.
KJV

Friend, does your heart desire the detestable things of this world of sin? There is only one way God has to put a new spirit within. It is by coming to the LORD Jesus Christ! He will not make you perfect yet, but He will put a new spirit within that desires the pure and holy things of righteousness. He promises all who come to Him will find perfect sanctification in the end. He has the power to do what we can't. He can wash away all our sin in the purity of His sacrificial blood, and make us whole.  Won't you come to Christ right now? Won't you depart from the curse, and come to the blessed salvation offered by the LORD Jesus Christ!

Deuteronomy 30:5-8

5 And
the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

6 And
the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

7 And
the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

8 And
thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.

7 And
I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

Jeremiah 32:39-42

39 And
I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

40 And I will
make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

41 Yea,
I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

42 For thus saith the LORD;
Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

PM Olmert: Enough! Israel Will Eliminate Hizbullah and Hamas
19:52 Jul 17, '06 / 21 Tammuz 5766
by Ezra HaLevi

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert addressed the Knesset and the world Monday evening, saying “Enough!” and promising to fight until the threats of Hamas and Hizbullah are removed from the region.

Olmert began the speech by offering condolences to families of the soldiers and civilians killed in the last six days of war. “I want to offer a big hug to the families of the kidnapped and to the sons themselves.”

The prime minister went on to say that Israel has been threatened on its borders and though the Jewish State did not request these battles, it will not back down from fighting them. “We stand at a national moment of truth. Will we agree to live under this evil threat or will we fight…There is no more just struggle than that we are now engaged in,” Olmert said, invoking the names of the grandmother and grandchild killed in a missile attack in Har Meron, 50-year-old Andrea Zeidman of Nahariya, killed while eating breakfast on her balcony, and Ella Abouksis, the teenage girl killed protecting her younger brother from a Kassam rocket on a Sderot street prior to the Gaza withdrawal.

“Our enemies were mistaken to think that our desire to show restraint was a sign of weakness,” Olmert boomed.

In a reiteration of his refusal to negotiate with Hizbullah or Hamas prior to the release of the kidnapped soldiers, Olmert said: “It is of regional and international interest to control and dismantle the terror organizations and remove this threat from the Middle East. We intend to do so.”

Olmert explicitly pointed the finger at Iran and Syria, saying Hizbullah and Hamas “are nothing but emissaries, sent and supplied by enemies of peace in Tehran and Damascus.”

He also said that even if Lebanon had no involvement in last Wednesday’s attack on an IDF patrol along the northern border, which killed eight soldiers and resulted in the kidnapping of two others, “it holds full responsibility for the attack launched from its sovereign territory and the same goes for the PA with regard to the Kerem Shalom attack.

“Opposite the Palestinians we will fight until terrorism ceases, Gilad Shalit is brought home and the Kassam rockets stop,” Olmert said. We will attack every terrorist staging area, destroy every terrorist base and liquidate members of the terror groups. Israel will not agree to live in the shadow of the threat of missiles and rockets on its citizens

“Our position in the north was backed up by the G8 yesterday,” he continued. “We demand a complete end to hostilities, the return of the two kidnapped soldiers and the compliance with the relevant UN resolutions…We withdrew to recognized borders according to the entire international community.”

Olmert recited the mishebeirach, the prayer for Divine protection for the IDF during his speech from the Knesset podium.

“I am more proud today than any other day in my life to be a citizen of the State of Israel,” Olmert concluded. “We will not surrender and we will not back down.”

I'm glad to see Olmert pray. It is without doubt the smartest thing he has done in his political career. I only wish he would have said enough when the rockets were raining down on the Independent Fundamental Jewish Settlers occupying the boarder towns. Their conservative stand that caused them to obey God when he commanded the Jews to occupy the Land apparently made them expendable. Now that the rockets are falling in the big cities where the majority of liberals lived in relative comfort and safety does he say enough. I am a little suspicious of his crocodile hugs and tears. His acknowledgement of the grandma and teen-aged girl victims of terrorist rockets before the Gaza withdrawal when he did nothing seems a little late. They were settlers living in Sderot on the boarder occupying the Promised Land as God commanded when they were murdered by Hamas. Finally, their deaths are being validated.

The war does not alarm me as much as the phony peace that I know is coming on it's heels. A peace that will leave out God. A liberal peace of man centered compromises that at most will give lip service to God, but the hearts of those involved will be far from Him. The false shepherds of Israel are running the country, the war, and the soon coming peace plan.

Isaiah 56:11

11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
KJV

The disposition of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount in the next peace plan is what to watch. Olmert was ready to give both to the Islamic barbarians along with Judah and Samaria before the war started as his contribution to the Road Map. I only wonder what his attitude will be toward what Israel will compromise for a liberal peace? I don't think the liberal majority is ready to submit to the commands of God yet!

It is going to take greater tribulation then this present conflict to change the hearts of the liberal Jewish majority. Friend, how much tribulation must God bring into your life before you are ready to come to Christ? Most people live without great tribulation in their comfort zone. They are most comfortable not struggling over the fate of their eternal soul. God has put many of them aside already due to the hardness of their hearts. Dear friend I pray such is not true with you. I would pray God is driving you to make the most important decision in any individual's life, and that is what are you going to do with Christ. He died at Calvary for your sins, and offers you a free salvation obtained by grace. You must decide whether you accept it, or reject it? The tribulations of life are purposed for you to deal with this decision. They are meant to break the stony hearts of those who refuse to leave their comfort zone. Won't you humbly come before Christ. Won't you end your resistance to Him, and ask Him to forgive you? Won't you come to Christ?

Joel 3:14-17

14
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision : for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision .

15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

16
The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

17
So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

IDF: Over 1,000 targets in Lebanon have been attacked thus far

By Amos Harel and Avi Issacharoff, Haaretz Correspondents and Agencies

The Israel Defense Forces' Head of Operations Directorate, Major General Gadi Eisencott, said Tuesday evening that "over the course of the last 24 hours, very successful attacks have continued, especially those of the air force but also other units, by land and by sea, in Lebanon."

"Until now, over 1,000 terrorist targets have been attacked, including 180 Katyusha and long-range rocket launch sites," Eisencott said.

Israel Air Force warplanes continued bombing Lebanon on Tuesday, killing 13 civilians - all of them members of two families - and 14 Lebanese soldiers. An armed Hezbollah operative and the driver of a truck carrying humanitarian supplies were also killed in Tuesday's raids.

Syria's Not-So-Hidden Hand in Lebanon Struck by IDF
23:17 Jul 18, '06 / 22 Tammuz 5766
by Nissan Ratzlav-Katz

Even as IAF planes on Tuesday destroyed four trucks that entered Lebanon from Syria, apparently carrying military supplies for the Hizbullah, the IDF denies Syria is a target

IDF Chief of Operations Major-General Gadi Eizenkot told reporters on Tuesday that Israeli planes destroyed, and are continuing to target, trucks coming into Lebanon from Syria smuggling ammunition, weapons or supplies for the Hizbullah. Maj.-Gen. Eizenkot reiterated that the fatal projectile fired by Hizbullah terrorists at Haifa on Sunday, which killed eight railway employees, was a 220mm rocket originating in Syria. Hizbullah says the weapons launched at Haifa were Iranian-made Raad missiles.

In their comments in recent days, United States President George Bush and United Kingdom Prime Minister Tony Blair both laid the blame for the current violence in Lebanon and Israel on "extremist elements" backed by Syria and Iran - with Bush naming Hizbullah specifically.

Despite the Syrian supply lines to the Hizbullah, however, Maj.-Gen. Eizenkot emphasized that all strikes on the trucks took place on Lebanese soil. He further insisted that neither the Syrians nor the national Lebanese military is a target in IDF attacks.

In earlier phases of the ongoing war with Lebanon, referred to by some media outlets as the "Re-Engagement War", Israeli planes did strike Lebanese army radar positions that were used in a deadly attack on an Israeli gunship stationed off the coast of Lebanon. Israeli planes also previously hit a border crossing connecting Lebanon to Syria; however, both Israeli and Syrian spokespersons vehemently denied that any targets in Syria were hit.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manushehr Mottaki visited Syria on Monday, carrying what officials in Iran said was a message for the Syrian dictator, Bashar Al-Assad, committing Iran to come to the aid of Syria in the event it would be the target of an attack. Iran and Syria also signed a memorandum of understanding accelerating development of 19 joint infrastructure and development projects.

According to Syria's new United Nations ambassador, Dr. Jafar Ja'afari, "We are not mercenaries, we will not be drawn into this war." He made the comments in an interview with reporters in New York this past Friday.

In reaction to the new tactic of the Israeli air force targeting trucks used in smuggling weapons, the Lebanese government has suggested that truck drivers in the country drive without the standard canvas covering on their truck beds. This would allow Israeli pilots to differentiate between innocent cargo and deliveries of Syrian missiles, according to Lebanese officials.

On Monday, Syrian officials said more than 100,000 people had crossed from Lebanon into Syria in search of an escape from the fighting.

The humanitarian supplies mentioned in the first article was probably a bandaid the driver had in his glovebox never mind the truck was filled with military supplies. The news can be interpreted differently by various reporters. The Arab world, and their bleeding heart supporters only want to hear about the bandaid while the real truth is expected to remain unmentioned. This is the political correctness being tossed in the mix that does not like to hear the name Syria put in a bad light. My expectations are that at some point Israeli ground troops will be sent to clean out the Bekah Valley in Lebanon. I would expect it to be a bloody conflict of great cost to the Jews. I also think Syria will be unable to remain neutral when the Bekah begins to fall into the hands of Israel. I would not be surprised if the US  begins a military buildup on the Iranian boarder in Iraq. My suspicion is that Iran would back out of any involvement in this present conflict, and the troops only need hold their ground while Syria falls into the hands of Israel. This is pure speculation on my part as there are no Biblical references to this present conflict. The Bible does not come into play until afterward when the guns stop.

Wars and rumors of wars is what Christ said about the future of Israel before His return. He called it the time of the beginning of sorrows, and that certainly has been the history of this present State of Israel.

Matthew 24:3-8

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars : see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
KJV

We are told not to be troubled by the wars, and the rumors of wars. It is the peace that will come on the heels of war where real trouble begins for Israel. The Bible speaks to the phony, liberal, and man-centered peace coming to Israel. Only then are they given a warning to be on their guard! I can't emphasize enough to watch the disposition of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. Olmert was about to give both away to the heathen as his part of keeping the Road Map before God brought this present sorrow upon the Jews. His liberal view of peace is opposite of what God teaches in the Bible about Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. He may well be the man who brings the disastrous peace Ezekiel predicted in Ezekiel 38 right before the Islamic invasion of Israel takes place.

Friend, what about you? Have you taken God's warning about your need for salvation seriously? Have you as a sinner made peace with the absolutely perfect Holy God of the Bible? There is only one Savior found in the Bible, and that is the LORD Jesus Christ. He died at Calvary as the only perfect, and acceptable sacrifice for sin. Have you gone to Him for forgiveness? Why not pray to Him right now, and settle the issue of your salvation?

Ezekiel 38:7-8

7
Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

8 After many days thou shalt be visited:
in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
KJV

Ezekiel 38:11-12

11 And thou shalt say, I will
go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

12
To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
KJV

Zechariah 2:8-10

8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

9 For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.

Israel at War on Several Fronts
16:44 Jul 19, '06 / 23 Tammuz 5766
by Hillel Fendel

Very heavy IDF-Hizbullah fighting in Lebanon, Katyushas in north, high alert in Sharon region, Kassams in south, now-dispelled rumors of an abducted soldier - and a brief national electric outage.

The high-level alert for a terrorist planning to blow himself up in a populated area in the greater Tel Aviv district began around 10:20 AM, and continued for several hours until the terrorist was found in a construction site and neutralized. Beforehand, an explosion between the Morasha and Yarkon junctions around 1 PM caused many hearts to skip a beat, but it turned out to be a harmless barrel set afire by Deparment of Public Works workers. The police roadblocks resulted in heavy traffic jams throughout the region.

At the same time, rumors of an abducted soldier were found to be not true, but not before they caused still more tension throughout the country. A soldier was said to be seen getting into a suspicious-looking vehicle, and subsequent attempts to contact him by cell phone proved fruitless. He was later found safe and sound, however.

Kassams in the South
Two Kassam rockets were launched at the Sderot area last night (Tuesday), causing no physical damage; several residents were treated for shock.

Moshe Shlomo, 52, of Sderot, died yesterday of a heart attack he suffered after a Kassam rocket landed near his home a week ago. Doctors who treated him say "there is no doubt" that the Kassam rocket was the main factor in his heart attack.

Shlomo's brother Herzl was killed in January 2005 in a terrorist attack at the Karni Crossing into Gaza.

"We must no longer say, 'there was no damage and no casualties,'" says Yaakov (Ketzaleh) Katz, Executive-Director of Arutz-7. "Every rocket that falls causes irreversible damage - tremendous psychological harm, children can't function, families cannot run normally, and even property values keep dropping."

Two Kassams were also fired towards Ashkelon, with one landing in the National Park. No one was hurt. Late this morning, one or two Kassams hit the Netiv HaAsarah community, just north of Gaza.

It was also revealed today that a rocket that fell well north of Sderot - in Kibbutz Bror Chayil, for the first time - was actually not a regular Kassam, but a Russian-made Grad missile, which has a 20-25 kilometer range.

Fighting in the North
Heavy exchanges of fire with Hizbullah terrorists took place outside Avivim, 12 kilometers north of Tzfat, along the Israeli-Lebanese border. "This is no simple incident," said one reporter near the scene. Several Hizbullah terrorists, who have hidden out there since the beginning of the fighting a week ago, are reported to have been killed.

The IDF still has some 20 Hizbullah outposts to destroy all along the Lebanese-Israeli border. Gen. (ret.) Yossi Peled explained that it was all but inevitable that ground forces would have to be used in order to realize the goal of ridding southern Lebanon of Hizbullah.

Overlooking Avivim is a Hizbullah stronghold of Marun A-Ras, which used to be a civilian village. "Five years ago, however," said Shimon Biton, a former mayor of Avivim, "[after the IDF withdrew from southern Lebanon] the Hizbullah terrorists came in and threw out all the villagers, and took over. It's a very important place, controlling the entire area."

Some 25 Katyushas were fired at northern Israel by early this afternoon (Wednesday), and another 70 in the hours afterwards. One person was seriously wounded in a direct hit on a house in Tiberias, two people were wounded in Haifa by shrapnel, and others were treated for shock. Fires are raging in many places in the Galilee, including very close to the town of Tivon. Targeted towns today include Carmiel, the Krayot north of Haifa, Maalot, Hatzor, Kiryat Shmonah and others.

The IDF carried out aerial attacks against more than 100 targets in Lebanon in the course of Tuesday. Among the targets were 12 access roads between Lebanon and Syria, used to supply Hizbullah with weapons from Syria and to help Hizbullah terrorists escape to Syria. Four trucks carrying weaponry were also bombed, as was a long-range missile launching truck, 75 Hizbullah missile-launching sites, bridges, weapons warehouses, terrorist cells, and more.

Since the original Hizbullah attack on Israel on July 13th, Israel has targeted more than 180 missile launching sites.

Once again yesterday (Tuesday), the IDF dropped leaflets addressing the southern Lebanese civilian population. The leaflets warn the Lebanese public to stay clear of areas from which rockets are launched against Israel, as these will be targeted by the IDF and civilians present in those areas are endangering their lives.

The leaflets also stress that any pickup truck or truck traveling south of the Litani River will be considered suspect of transporting weapons and rockets, and is a potential target for the IDF. The IDF stresses that though it is operating with great caution to prevent harming uninvolved civilians, southern Lebanon is a combat zone in which Hizbullah terrorists use civilians as human shields. There have been reports of Hizbullah forcibly preventing civilians from fleeing southern Lebanon.

Electric Outage
Adding to the panic and tension was a brief electric outage in many areas of the country, sparking rumors that it was caused by a terrorist act or rocket strike. In actuality, the outage was caused by a technical failure in the Ashdod region, and electricity was soon restored.
