UK softens line on European presidency

Britain is preparing to back a compromise deal with its European partners on the key question of who runs the European Union, and how it is represented on the world stage.

Tony Blair, British prime minister, is set to drop his opposition to the idea that the president of the European Commission be elected by the European Parliament. In exchange, he will demand the European Council - the forum for national leaders - is also headed by a powerful appointed leader.

The idea has been discussed privately by Joschka Fischer and Peter Hain - Germany and Britain's representatives on the convention on Europe's future.

"We could live with an elected Commission president, provided we also get a strong chairman of the European Council," said a British diplomat.

France and Germany are also seeking a compromise to the question of whether Brussels can accommodate two leaders, and aim to publish their proposals in January to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Elysée Treaty between the two countries.

Paris is a strong supporter of the idea of an EU president, while Germany is a supporter of a strong Commission, and a federal structure.

The Franco-German paper on Europe's institutional arrangements could prove decisive.

Gerhard Schröder, Germany's chancellor, has indicated he would support an EU president, provided the Commission and its president were also strengthened.

Romano Prodi, Commission president, published a paper in early December proposing that his successors be elected in a secret ballot of MEPs, with the choice confirmed by EU leaders.

He believes the plan would give Commission presidents more authority and legitimacy, and the ability to stand up to any EU president representing member states - a proposal he strongly opposes.

Britain has criticised Mr Prodi's plan, on the grounds that the Commission president would lose impartiality and could become an overtly political figure. London still formally opposes a Commission president enhanced through election but British diplomats admit they are prepared to soften their position.

Mr Blair is strongly in favour of a strong president of the European Council - some have suggested he would be a candidate - to become the driving force for Europe, as well as representing it on the world stage.

Britain's willingness to strengthen the Commission is seen as vital if it is to persuade smaller member states to drop their fierce opposition to the creation of an EU president which they fear would favour big countries, and disrupt the institutional balance between the Commission and European Council.

 

The desire for a European presidency will soon translate into a desire for a Western world president, and from that form will come the antichrist. The future prospect for the world will be presidents or kings of the North, South, East, and West. Each of these major geographical areas will see the advantage of consolidating into these kingships for their economic interests much as Europe is now doing. It is the president, king, or the last Caesar of the West that will dominate the world of the Great Tribulation. It will be into that world of kingdoms that little Israel will declare it's own Kingdom in anticipation of their returning Messiah/King destine to be King of kings. The conflict of Kingdoms is the road to Armageddon, and final victory for the Jewish Kingdom which will be the only survivor at the final judgment of this age ending forever Gentile rule of planet earth.

The year 2003 appears to be significant in events that will change the face of the Middle East. It is the Holy Land that stands at the center of East, West, North, and South. The world has stated it's "road map" to peace which ignores what God has revealed in the Bible. The coming peace aimed at ending the "War on Terrorism" is destine to fail because they have left out God. The secular Jews seem intent on selling out the sovereignty God has given them over the Temple Mount for this false peace. It will take prophets in the likeness of Haggai and Zechariah to stir Israel into fulfilling the purpose for which God called the Jews back to the Holy Land. That purpose being the building, and kosher worship within the Third Jewish Temple. My personal feelings are that this will be the great testimony of the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11. Their testimony will be the remembrance of the blood of Christ shed at Calvary through reinstituting Old Testament Judaism as it was always intended to be.  The revival of the book of Leviticus pointing to Christ as the only acceptable sacrifice for sin as will be exemplified on the altar of the Third Jewish Temple.

Could Saudi Arabia’s have-nots spark a revolution?

 

Parts of oil-rich Saudi Arabia are as shockingly poor as Somalia -- or so claim the harshest critics of the ruling Al-Saud family. According to the calculations of an active Saudi dissident living in exile, three trillion dollars have been generated mostly by oil over the past 30 years in the Gulf kingdom. Yet, he asserts, only $800 billion-$1 trillion have been reinvested into the country. "So where has that two trillion dollars gone?" asks the dissident, speaking to The Report on condition of anonymity.

He blames Saudi’s ills on the corruption of the ruling class. While one Saudi princess flies her hairdresser over from Europe first class, and pays him $5,000 a cut, he claims that in Hafr al-Batin, 50 kilometers from the Kuwait border, 60,000 people are living in shacks with no electricity, sewerage and only minimal food.

With the United States heading into another Gulf war, Saudi Arabia, its longtime ally, may be heading into trouble. Simon Henderson, a London-based Gulf specialist with the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, says that those who view Saudi as a rock of stability and a reliable friend of the United States constitute "an increasingly small minority among Western analysts. If you were to try to apply Marxist-Leninist theory to an Islamic Beduin society," he goes on, Saudi might be said to be in "a pre-revolutionary situation."

The petroleum-hazy halcyon days are over. Saudi Arabia’s soaring population now numbers over 22 million, including 5 million foreign nationals, compared with about 6 million 30 years ago. This, together with fluctuations in the oil market over the past two decades and corruption on a royal scale, is bringing the kingdom to the brink of bankruptcy, the dissident says.

With an annual population growth rate of well over 3 percent, similar to Gaza and Uganda, Saudi Arabia’s government-owned infrastructure is increasingly stretched. The government is no longer able to provide everybody with a job and the private sector prefers to hire foreigners, notes Gregory Gause, a political scientist and Saudi expert at the University of Vermont. While there are no official figures, 20-30 percent of Saudis of working age are said to be jobless. Yet over 4 million foreigners are employed as menial laborers, middle managers and oil executives.

The government is also facing a disaffected underclass of angry Saudi youths committed to Islamic extremism, a native Bin-Ladenist militancy of the kind that spawned 15 of the 19 hijackers of 9/11.

 

The internal woes of Saudi Arabia could well cause a revolt once democracy comes to the Arabs of the Middle East. The militants will become more militant, but the prospect of freedom may be the greater influence. The prospect of wealth from the oil revenues squandered by the sheiks may encourage many Saudis to empower themselves in democratic fervor. The continuation of the tongue in cheek opposition to the militants would be expected by me because hate for the Jews will not change with freedom. The only difference would be it coming from an Arab Democracy rather then the former despots. A union of Saudis oil and Iraqi oil once Iraq is freed from Saddam may well produce a super economic power that the world has not contemplated? This time the war with Iraq may well have face changing implications for the Middle East! The antichrist (king of the West) with his anti-Semitic attitude would open the door to an adulteress affair of Arab Democracy and Western interests.  The Bible says in the end the antichrist murders all those who go a whoreing with him.

The post rapture world of the Great Tribulation seems close at hand. The support of the United States for Israel could change as fast as the next election. The removal of the Holy Spirit from the Gentile Church at the rapture will undoubtedly bring change in American political will. The West is ready for the antichrist to lead it into a false peace based on the prospect of economic prosperity that will promise worldly wealth for all who join in agreement.

A spiritual awakening among the Jews after the rapture would bring a return to the Bible, and a call to the humble, meek, and lowly. It would bring a mandate from God to build the Third Jewish Holy Temple. Blood sacrifice for sin would again be honored on the Altar of the Jews in remembrance of Calvary as it used to look forward to Calvary. The Lord Jesus Christ would mo longer be the God of the Gentile Church, but would assume His rightful roll as the Davidic King of the Jews.

Arms from Iraq caused blast at Hezbollah base'

Western intelligence analysts believe that an explosion at a Hezbollah base in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley on Monday resulted from the use of weapons smuggled from Iraq.

The precise character of the weapon remains unclear.

Following the explosion, Lebanese sources reported on a strong blast at a Hezbollah training base near the town of Jinta. Hezbollah closed off the area and barred media crews from entering it. Ambulances approached the town, but it is not clear whether their crews treated any wounded. At this stage, the number of persons hurt by the explosion remains unknown.

Hezbollah often follows a policy of withholding information about casualties. This was its standard policy during its years of warfare against the Israel Defense Forces in southern Lebanon.

Western intelligence experts believe that the explosion was connected to an Iraqi arms shipment that reached Hezbollah a few days before Monday's blast. Two different explanations might account for the explosion. According to one theory, it resulted from a test that Hezbollah attempted with one of the weapons, perhaps a trial missile launch. Alternatively, a mishap might have occurred when Hezbollah tried to store the arms in a bunker.

Last week, Ha'aretz reported that Iraq gave Hezbollah medium-range missiles. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said last week that Israel believes Iraq also transferred chemical and biological weapons to Syria in order to keep them from the attention of United Nations inspectors. The claim

that Baghdad is hiding nonconventional weapons in Syria is being investigated, but it has yet to be verified conclusively, a senior Israeli security official said yesterday.

ISRAEL STUDIES LATEST VERSION OF ROAD MAP

Israel is studying the third draft of the famed "road map," but will withhold a formal response to the plan until after the elections, according to diplomatic sources.
 

 

Hezbollah backed by Iran (Old Persia) may well prove to be the greater threat to Israel in 2003. The fall of Iraq will change militant Islam. Already, Iraq is moving weapons to the other militants in anticipation of the American invasion. The wild man of Iraq may soon be caged, but his Islamic hate for the Jews will only be transferred to other outlets. The bounties paid the families of suicide bombers may end, but Saddam will still find pleasure in his weapons being used to torture and kill the Jews of Israel.

The "road map" to peace in the Middle East will be more spin then reality. The world is ready for the propaganda blitz. A solution to the Middle East conflict is what people want to hear even if it is a lie! Secular Israel is first in line. They seem willing to give up much of the Holy Land for a Palestinian State. They seem ready to turn over large parts of Jerusalem to the heathen for hope in a false peace. Worst of all, they seem ready to throw away the sovereignty God has given them over His Holy Mount to their greatest enemy since the Nazi years.

The fall of Saddam seems destine to bring about an even greater calamity then any have contemplated. It is providence at work. There is no way the events now in motion can be stopped. The ultimate end will be the establishment of the Jewish Kingdom, and return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Gentile era is ending in dispensational change. It is God's "road map" that providence follows!

PM: Syria, Hezbollah,Iran train together

The Syrian army has held joint maneuvers with Hezbollah along with units of the Iranian revolutionary guards in Lebanon. This information was conveyed by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to visiting Republican Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania.

Sharon said the exercises were proof of the problematic cooperation on the Syrian-Iranian-Hezbollah axis.

Specter has had close contacts with Damascus over the past 20 years since the time when he participated in negotiations for the release of the American hostages in Lebanon.

Sharon said that "if he [Syrian President Bashar Assad] felt isolated in the international community because of his support for terror, and if there was a political and economic price to pay for this, perhaps his policy would change. But so long as he is allowed the benefit of the doubt, he has no reason to stop supporting terror."

To this, Specter replied that he had always told the Syrians it was unthinkable they should support the killing of innocent civilians. The Syrians believe that Israel has 7,000 armed civilians on the Golan Heights, he added.

Sharon said he was prepared to renew negotiations with Syria without prior conditions. When Specter asked if he could convey this to Assad, Sharon answered in the affirmative.

"I'd be happy to visit Damascus and I'd be happy for [Assad] to come to Jerusalem," Sharon added.

 

It had been reported earlier that many al-Qaida terrorists fled from Afghanistan to Lebanon. The hate for Jews is now uniting al-Qaida with Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah. It is here that the greatest potential threat to Israel is forming. The pending attack on Iraq might better be aimed at the inclusion of Lebanon? The face of the Middle East is about to make a major change. Democracy among the Arabs will have undeterminable consequences. I suspect the militant Islamic's will become even more fanatical. I suspect the more moderate democratized Arabs will play the same game that the Saudi sheiks now play supporting the militants while officially claiming hands off.

I know a false peace is coming to Israel. I know an Islamic invasion of Israel is close at hand if Ezekiel 38 & 39 are going to be fulfilled during our generation. I can see how the Third Jewish Holy Temple can come as the aftermath of such a "Last Jihad"  invasion bringing utter humiliation to Islam, and an end to Islamic influence in the Holy Land! The rise of a literal Babylon as described in Revelation representing worldly wealth for the greedy seems tied to the pending fall of Saddam Hussein. The antichrist will find the means of controlling the world through the union of Western technology with Middle East oil. Babylon will offer untold wealth through greed while a spiritually awakened Jerusalem will offer eternal life to the meek and lowly.

The stage seems set as God's providential hand orchestrates the end of the Gentile Church dispensation, and the ushering in of the Jewish Kingdom age!

US senator says Mideast peace possible with Palestinian reforms

CAIRO, Egypt - Israeli-Palestinian peace can be attained only with Palestinian Authority reform and an end to violence, US lawmaker Arlen Specter said Friday.

Speaking to reporters at the US Embassy in Cairo, Specter also said Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat must step down from power as evidence exists that he supports terrorism.

Specter, a Republican senator from Pennsylvania, said if reforms occur, "I think the international donor community could put up a great deal of money to rebuild the Palestinian Authority and to compensate Israel for Israel's losses."

While saying the Palestinian Authority has to decide for itself what form of government it wants, Specter said "I think Arafat has to step aside."

The Bush administration has shunned Arafat, denouncing him as a failed leader for failing to end suicide bombings and shooting attacks against Israelis. Arafat has condemned suicide bombings against Israeli targets, which often draw heavy Israeli reprisals.

Specter arrived in Cairo from Israel for talks Friday with Egypt's Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher.

Egypt, a longtime mediator in the Israeli-Palestinian dispute, has been hosting a number of Palestinian factions - including the Palestinian militant group Hamas and Arafat's mainstream Fatah movement - in talks aimed at forging a common Palestinian position for dealing with Israel.

Expanded talks between the different Palestinian factions are expected to be held in Cairo Sunday. There was no official confirmation of the date yet.

Maher has said earlier this week that the upcoming talks were aimed at modifying the Palestinian uprising, not ending it. He denied reports an Egyptian cease-fire plan was being discussed.

 

A face saving man-made peace plan seems destine to be part of the "road map" to Middle East peace. The world wants to hear words of peace so badly that voices more vicious then Arafat will be given credence for just saying the word peace. Only the foolishness of man could come up with such a ridiculous plan. It is like trusting Hitler to be a man of peace all over again. The hate of Hamas and Fatah can only be turned off in the minds of foolish men who have lost sight of reality. Chamberlain brokered a peace with the Nazis that the world exalted as brilliant until Hitler invaded Poland. The world found Hitler did not keep his words of peace, and the same lesson is about to repeat itself because Islamic hate for the Jews is beyond repentance or reconciliation.

Money is the politicians answer to everything. Their plan is to pour money over the festering soar that Islam has inflicted on itself by teaching the culture to hate Christians and Jews. Money will never prove a salve for healing when the infection runs as deep as Islam has inserted and nurtured it. Islam's hate will never allow them to turn to a Jewish King and His Kingdom! The "road map" plotted in the Bible is the one path that Islam has done all it possibility can to close. Allah and Mohamed forbid turning to Christ for salvation, and even more reprehensible is Christ King of the Jews. A political solution to this theological problem is just not going to happen.

There is no doubt what Islam would do to the Jews if they had the power. There is no doubt what Islam would do to the Lord Jesus Christ were they able!

Some Honoring Internet's 'Birthday'

NEW YORK - Happy birthday?, Internet. By some accounts, Wednesday marked the 20th anniversary of the online medium.

t was on Jan. 1, 1983, that the 400 or so computers hooked to what was then called ARPANET had to switch to a communications protocol called TCP/IP, said Vint Cerf, the protocol's co-inventor.

It was TCP/IP that allowed multiple networks to coexist and permitted applications like the World Wide Web to develop and thrive. In other words, it made the Internet what it is today.

"This is a major milestone," Cerf said. "I consider the January 1983 date to be the real rollout of (the) Internet."

Some, however, consider the Internet's age to be a more mature 33.

On Sept. 2, 1969, two computers at the University of California, Los Angeles, linked by a 15-foot cable, sent data back and forth, showing that the Internet could work.

Sure, the protocol didn't permit non-ARPANET computers to join in, the way America Online and private corporate networks can today. But it affirmed packet switching, the idea that data could be chopped into small packets and reassembled at the destination, giving the Internet its versatility.

 

Twenty years is not a long time, yet how quickly the world can change as 911 has proved! Bill Gates became one of the richest men of all time by spearheading the computer age.  The antichrist will be a like-ability man who will control the riches of the Great Tribulation. His source of this great world controlling wealth can develop very quickly.  The whole world can also adjust quickly to such earth shattering changes. Technology that was incomprehensible to all but a few visionaries can easily overwhelm the world once again. The mystery behind 666 can become common acceptable knowledge in short time. The wonders of the false prophet have a ready audience among this mystic minded generation from New Age mystic spiritual guides, to the Roman Catholic mystic priesthood, and on into the modern Charismatic mysticism of signs and wonders. A world that wants anything, but the Biblical Christ seems here right now ready to adjust to the wonderments of the Great Tribulation.

The voice of yesterday's fundamentalists who stood against all the falsehood that is now common place in today's Christianity have been silenced by a lukewarm Church generation. Most of the leadership has been bewitched by numbers rather then standing on the truth. I'm convinced in their zeal to reach the world with the gospel that most Christian leaders sacrificed doctrine to count the numbers. The face of Christianity changed as a result! Revivals today are different from revivals of the past that separated the "born again" from apostasy through knowledge of Bible doctrine. Today's revivals must now include the same apostates for the sake of numbers. Today's revivals would amount to nothing were adherence to Bible doctrine the measurement of success. Today's revivals claiming billions reached are the product of spin rather then true numbers of verified "born again" believers. The time for dispensational change is clear to me. The Biblical Christ must be reintroduced to a world gone into apathy by today's lukewarm spin crazed Christianity!

It is from the Jews that earth shattering change must come. It is to the Jews who return to the Bible that dispensational change has the prospect of real revival in the coming world of the Great Tribulation! Only the Jews will be able to stand up against mystic minded Apostate Christianity during the time of the Great Tribulation!

"I know why he did it," she continued. "It was because of all the campaign contributions he got from Enron."

When Streisand learned what Frum did for a living, she released a disdainful "Ewwwwwww."

'"The snows on top of Mount Kilimanjaro are melting. There's no disagreement about that," Streisand argued.

Frum: "Look, I don't know about that. I'm no kind of expert on climate change. But, Miss Streisand, I strongly suspect that neither are you. For you, this is religion, not science."

Streisand looked at Frum with "utter revulsion."

"I know what I'm talking about. I give a lot of money to environmental causes," she huffed and left Frum standing.

Streisand has it right! The snows of Kilimanjaro are melting, and this coming from me who sees through the global warming alarmists! What she hasn't said is that the snows on most mountain peaks have been melting ever since records were made on snow melt. I spent many years in Montana, and everyone there knows the glaciers in Glacier National Park have been melting, and receding since the eyes of man have first observed them. The ice caves are also going the same direction as the glaciers of Montana. Something Chicken Little New Yorkers now suddenly believe is proof the sky is falling! I remember seeing a photograph of John Muir standing at the base of a glacier. The base of that glacier is now some 30 miles back up the valley from the spot where the picture was taken. That Glacier has been melting at the same rate since way before the late 1800's. The sudden hysteria of the big city global warming crowd only uses natural phenomena that has been going on for hundreds and thousands of years (due to the aftermath of the Noahdic flood global disaster) to scare themselves and the gullible.  I never noticed any fear or concern from those living in glacier country, but the city folk sure seem to be in an uproar.

Frum has it right too when he identifies Streisand's fanatical views as religious rather then factual. A god that does not act, or no god at all would mean man is the determiner of his own destiny. We all remember Saddam burning the oil fields of Kuwait, and opening the cocks on the oil takers in port as his final attempt to pollute the world in repayment for his defeat. With no god, the future for mankind is bleak. This is the religion of Streisand, and the environmental whacko's who would buy their way, and force their views unto a gullible antibiblical public. These folks seem to me to be more guilty then what they factlessly accuse their more rational opponents of doing.

One worse then Saddam will wreck polluted havoc on the world when God's Kingdom victory starts to be manifested! Only the cleansing flow mixed with blood from sacrifice at the Altar in the next Jewish Holy Temple will cleanse the earth from the antichrist's polluted revenge for his inevitable defeat.

— CAIRO (Reuters) - A new letter purportedly written by senior al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri urged Muslims to continue a "jihad" to kill Americans and other "enemies of God," an Islamist lawyer who received the document said Tuesday.

"By God, do not stop the new Muslim souls...from approaching jihad (holy struggle), represented in the killing of all Americans as they kill us," said the letter, received by lawyer Montasser al-Zayat and published in the pan-Arab daily al-Hayat.

Zayat confirmed he had received the letter claiming to be from Osama bin Laden's right-hand-man through the internet on Monday and given a copy to the newspaper for publication.

"...I know that jihad against the enemies of God who kill us in all places must have a price, but this price is very cheap, whatever it is, as long as it satisfies God and will help us enter into heaven," the letter said.

 

The appeal is to kill Americans, and all other enemies of Allah and his prophet Mohamed. It is religious war clear and simple. Islam is called upon to kill all the infidels. Islam is openly called upon to kill as they do in Israel to the Jews. Easy targets like the civilian population. Children in particular are prime easy targets to cause maximum pain through torture and death. It is not just to kill, but to kill in beastly fashion where pleasure is measured by pain and fear inflicted.

We have all heard this call to Jihad before, and will hear it again and again. It is the releasing of the wild animals of Islam to rip and tear as they are able. The glories of Moslem heaven are promised to those who have the heartless hate needed to join in this Jihad. PM aides admit Sharon got $1.5m from S. African businessman

Following allegations of financial improprieties by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and his two sons, which were reported in Ha'aretz, advisers to Sharon conceded Tuesday that the prime minister had received $1.5 million from a South African businessman, but denied any connection to criminal activity.

According to the allegations, Ariel Sharon received $1.5 million from Cyril Kern, a South African citizen, to serve as collateral for a loan his sons Omri and Gilad took out to pay back a company from which Sharon received illegal campaign contributions during his primaries campaign for the Likud leadership.
 

Labor looks to exploit police probe on Sharon family

The Labor Party's campaign staff Tuesday discussed the possible implications of the report published by Ha'aretz regarding a police investigation into alleged improprieties surrounding a $1.5 million loan received by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's sons from a South African friend of the family.

According to one of the campaign leaders: "This is our only chance. A daily focus on these types of scandals is the only way to continue to chip away at the Likud's strength and, on the other hand, build up the strength of the Labor Party."

Party chairman Amram Mitzna had already referred to Sharon as "the Godfather" and his sons as "the Family" in earlier statements. Mitzna called on the prime minister to resign Tuesday, saying that with each new suspicion of corruption, "Sharon is slowly losing his legitimacy." He also called on Sharon to resign or else give his own version of the alleged events.
 

 

I don't know where this scandal will go, but I recognize the potential. This could bring down the conservative secular government of Israel, and allow the bleeding heart liberals to take charge again. It is the liberals who are willing to sell out the Holy Land for empty peace efforts with Islam. It is the liberals who orchestrated the disastrous Oslo Peace Accords that armed the Palestinians, and allowed Arafat back into Israel. The end of the liberal "road map" has been the current wave of terrorism, and now these same folks have the potential to take charge of secular Israel again.  I know a false peace is coming to Israel, and I can only wonder if this is how it will happen?

Secular politics is a fickle business. My only consolation is that the sovereignty of God is real. It is God, and His "road map" revealed in the Bible that will be the end of all history. The God of the Bible is in the process of changing dispensations. The coming Jewish Kingdom is revealed in the Bible as God's next destination on His "road map" of history. Nothing can stop God from His control of history. Not the secular Israeli governments, or the antichrist when he comes to power. It is God's will that will be accomplished. The world wants the antichrist and his government based on wealth. It is not a chicken in every pot, but a pot full of gold in every blood covered greedy hand that will be the politics of the Great Tribulation. Yet, God will persevere, and a Kingdom for the meek and lowly will emerge victorious. God's Kingdom will be neither conservative or liberal. It will be Biblical, pure, and righteous. It will be ruled by the only perfectly holy King who ever put foot on planet earth. It is the only "road map" that will bring true peace to a sin ridden world!

One labourer killed, 13 injured as idol falls on them

GURGAON, JAN 6 (PTI)

One labourer was killed and 13 others were injured when a 100 feet idol of Lord Krishna they were constructing at a village near here fell on them, police said.

The incident took place at Narsinghpur village in Manesar area of the district close to the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway.

The injured were brought to a hospital here and discharged after first aid.

Police have registered a case of negligence against the constructor and seized the construction material for investigation.

PA Central Council discusses draft constitution for future state

A quarter of the members of the Palestinians' highest legal body gathered at Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat's headquarters Thursday to discuss the draft constitution for a future Palestinian state.

The PA Central Council (PCC) discussed two other main issues as well as the draft contitution - recent political developments, and the internal Palestinian dialogue.

One of the most significant changes put forth by the 222-article draft constitution is the addition of a prime minister to head the government, said PA Planning Minister Nabil Shaath, head of the committee writing the draft. The exact relationship between the prime minister and the president are to be discussed further, Shaath said.

The draft does not address two key issues - the borders of a Palestinian state and the fate of 4 million Palestinian refugees and their descendants - but declares Jerusalem the future capital of a Palestinian state. All three issues would have to be settled in a future peace agreement with Israel.

The document, drafted by Palestinian, Arab and European experts, also contains articles on civil rights and the separation of powers.

A majority of the Central Council (PCC) members have to be present to make a decision. The council is a mid-sized decision-making body, bigger than the Palestinian legislature - many of whose members also belong to the PCC - and smaller than the Palestine National Council.

Shaath said the plan was to have the PCC endorse a first draft, present the constitution to the public for debate, and then send a final version back to the PCC.

Israel tightened restrictions on Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, and banned members of the Palestinian Central Council from travelling to the Ramallah session after a suicide bombing killed 22 people in Tel Aviv on Sunday.

The meeting took place in a show of defiance against an Israeli travel ban blocking a full quorum.

"We're giving the message that no one can stop us," Arafat told reporters in his battered complex in Ramallah.

He said Israel was taking every step to make the Palestinians kneel, "but our people are like a mountain, steadfast, and cannot be shaken by the wind."

Israel has also banned Palestinian officials from attending a mid-January conference in London, sponsored by Britain, on reforms and peace. Britain has appealed to Israel to reconsider.

Israeli officials say travel restrictions on Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza are aimed at preventing Palestinian suicide bombers from reaching Israeli cities. Palestinians call the edicts collective punishment.

In another development, Palestinian sources said that Palestinian police in uniform will begin patrolling streets in Jenin soon. They said Israeli officials agreed to their deployment, as long as they are unarmed. The Israeli military had no immediate comment.

 

A Palestinian State seems almost inevitable. The peace after the war on terrorism has a Palestinian State as its centerpiece. The Palestinians themselves are so sure that they are already setting up charter by which they will govern themselves. Any who would question the inevitable Palestinian State will be vilified as war mongers out to destroy the world. Yet, this is exactly what the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11 will do! I don't know if the debate will still be going on when these next true Biblical prophets come on the scene? A Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital may even be in existence. What I do know is that these two prophets will stir the pot into chaos. God never shared His Holy Temple Mountain with the Samaritans, and He will certainly never share it with the heathen Palestinians. The woman at the well made that clear.

Yet, The Palestinians have the audacity to claim even Jerusalem as theirs. It may happen, but it will never last long. The Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital is doomed to the same fate as Dagon the fish god idol of the Philistines. It will fall before the Third Jewish Holy Temple! The Temple that the Bible says will be built by 3-1/2 years into the Great Tribulation when the antichrist kills the two prophets, sits on the throne in that Temple, and usurps Christ as the coming King of kings. A secular Israel may sell out the Holy Land, and the Temple Mount for a false peace. PA official: Orient House resumes operations

A senior Palestinian official said Friday that the Palestinian Authority has renewed its operations in the Orient House – despite an Israeli order to close down the East Jerusalem building.

Israel Radio reported that Samir Rosheh, the head of the PA's operations in Jerusalem, said in an interview with the Al Quds newspaper that limited activity at the Orient House had been resumed. He said that at least two committees were operating from the building, including a legal committee and the PA's foreign liaison panel.

Rosheh added that some of the activity previously run from the Orient House hadbeen relocated to a temporary headquarters for "urgent issues" in A-Ram, to the north of Jerusalem.

Israel claims that computer files seized during a raid on the Orient House provide evidence of widespread diplomatic and security activity by the Palestinian Authority in the city, in violation of its agreements with Israel. The Oslo agreements explicitly ban official PA activity in Jerusalem.

The files were seized on August 10, 2001, when Israeli police shut down the Orient House in accordance with a cabinet decision. Police also seized large quantities of documents and some videotapes.
 

 

The issue is Jerusalem, and the Holy Temple Mount. The heathen Islamic Palestinians use Orient House as a place to conduct some of their official government business thus displaying to the world that Jerusalem is theirs, and they can do what they want. The Jews have claimed Jerusalem as their capital long ago, but the world has remained mute to their declaration. No government has moved its embassy to Jerusalem including the US, but most governments have sent low level delegates to Orient House in the past. It is a statement that is being made loud and clear here. The Jews have sovereignty by might over Jerusalem, but are reluctant to enforce that sovereignty because of pressure from the world. The law is clear (both Jewish and Oslo) that Palestinian governmental activity in Jerusalem is illegal. That does not keep the Palestinians, or the world from displaying this openly anti-Jewish attitude.

The God of the Bible has also declared Jerusalem as His! God has a 'road map" of dispensational sovereignty over history that shows the next dispensation will be the Great Tribulation that will usher in the Jewish Kingdom age, and Jerusalem will be its capital. Another Holy Jewish Temple will be built on the Temple Mount where events critical to the Great Tribulation, and Millennial Kingdom will take place. It matters not what the Palestinians may claim, or what the world wants to happen. It is God who will see that His "road map" of dispensational change as revealed in the Bible will be the course of history. All other claims to Jerusalem will find only the wrath of the Son. They are all bound to perish for not following the only way as declared in the Bible!

Trail of Pain in Church Crisis Leads to Nearly Every Diocese

The sexual abuse crisis that engulfed the Roman Catholic Church in the last 12 months has now spread to nearly every American diocese and involves more than 1,200 priests, most of whose careers straddle a sharp divide in church history and seminary training.

Those are among the conclusions drawn from an extensive New York Times survey of documented cases of sexual abuse of minors by priests over the last six decades.

The survey, covering cases through Dec. 31, 2002, compiled the names and histories of 1,205 accused priests. It counted 4,268 people who have claimed publicly or in lawsuits to have been abused by priests, though experts say there are surely many more who have remained silent.

The survey, the most complete compilation of data on the problem available, provides a statistical framework for viewing the sexual abuse crisis against the modern history of the American Catholic Church. It found, for example, that most priests accused of abuse were ordained between the mid-1950's and the 1970's, a period of upheaval in the church, when men trained in the traditional authoritarian seminary system were sent out to serve in a rapidly changing church and social culture.

Most of the abuse occurred in the 1970's and 1980's, the survey found. The number of priests accused of abuse declined sharply by the 1990's.

But the data show that priests secretly violated vulnerable youth long before the first victims sued the church and went public in 1984 in Louisiana. Some incidents date from the 1930's and 1940's.

"This has been going on for decades, probably centuries," said Richard K. O'Connor, a former Dominican priest who says he was one of 10 boys sexually assaulted by three priests in a South Bronx parish in 1940, when he was 10. "It's just that all of a sudden, they got caught."

The survey also shows how pervasive the abuse has been. Using information from court records, news reports, church documents and interviews, the survey found accusations of abuses in all but 16 of the 177 Latin Rite dioceses in the United States.

Every region was seriously affected, with 206 accused priests in the West, 246 in the South, 335 in the Midwest and 434 in the Northeast. The crisis reached not only big cities like Boston and Los Angeles but smaller ones like Louisville, with 27 accused priests, and St. Cloud, Minn., with 9.

 

The wake-up call has been given. The time to get out is now. Those who remain shall find this perverted Roman priesthood will only get worse after things cool down.  The God of the Bible says He will be your Father. You don't need a perverted priesthood, and the supporters of such perversion who usurp the title Father! You don't need their false magical claims to spiritual power that no one can see. I find it hard to believe that God would endow or honor the power claimed by the Roman Catholic priesthood when He knows what destroyers of mostly little boys they have been! The hierarchy of the Church may falsely claim ignorance, but God has always known what was going on through all the years. It is God who caused their sins to find them out! It is God who now confronts this generation of Catholics, and their Evangelical supporters with the truth! The Roman Catholic Church is apostate! The time to get out is now!

The other great truth God is confronting Catholics with today is that the coming Kingdom is going to be Jewish not Catholic. It is the Jews who are in control of the Holy Land as the Bible always said would happen. The false substitution theology of the Catholic Church is now also known to be a lie where the Church usurps all the promises of the Bible given to this generation of Israel about the Holy Land, Jerusalem, and coming Temple. The whole world can see it is the literal Jews that God gave the sovereignty to, and not the Pope! It will be a revived Biblical Jewish priesthood that will minister real blood of sacrifice at the Altar in the coming Temple, not the perverted priesthood of the Catholic Church! It will be real blood, and not magic blood that no one can see. It is this generation that God choose to reveal these truths! It is to this generation that the wake-up call has been given.

God told the Corinthians they needed to come out of the mystical paganism they formerly embraced. The call was not to the masses, but to individuals about what they had been involved with. God said He would receive them then, and He will receive you today also. It is to the Christ of the Bible that all must go. It is not religion, but a savior that the Bible calls the individuals to come for blood cleansing forgiveness.

The next dispensation is not for the Christian Church, but the Jewish Kingdom. The future is in Biblical Judaism not a corrupted Christianity! The future is in the living Messiah not the dead Christ of perverted. and apostate orthodoxy!

Palestinian children foiled in Netzarim attack

Two Palestinian boys aged eight and 13 armed with knives were captured Saturday night after infiltrating Netzarim in the northern Gaza Strip in an attempted terror attack.

The two tried to stab the son of one of the residents, but the boy succeeded in evading them and alerted his father, who opened fire after seeing their knives, causing them to flee.

One of the Palestinians then fled into the house of Rabbi Zion Tawill, who also drove him off by shooting at him.

The youth then spotted another resident and told him he was a Thai worker. He was invited him into the man's home and offered a glass of water before security forces arrived and arrested him. His accomplice was captured by soldiers a short time later.

No Netzarim residents were wounded in the attack. The older Palestinian boy suffered a gunshot wound in the buttocks and the younger one suffered a hip fracture. They were treated by a medical team from the Gaza Coast Regional Council at the Karni crossing before being taken to Beersheba's Soroka Hospital. Hospital spokeswoman Shira Chen described their wounds as moderate. ...

Security officials noted that in recent weeks there has been a sharp escalation in attempts to infiltrate Israeli settlements in the area, often by Palestinian youths who are sent to carry out such attacks as a test for acceptance into one of the terrorist organizations.

Gaza Coast Regional Council spokesman Eran Shterenberg said the infiltration proves that terrorists continue to attempt to infiltrate the area despite the obstacles, and the situation proves that Labor Party leader Amram Mitzna's plans are irrelevant. Without harsh steps and the permanent presence of security forces in Palestinian areas, barriers alone are worthless, he said.

 

Which is worse? The Roman priesthood using little boys for sex, or the Palestinians using little boys to do their dirty work? Both will certainly be judged by the standards laid out in the Bible! Both will find the wrath of God poured out on them for their action! The very depths of depravity is when adults use children for despicable purposes. It would be better for those adults were a millstone tied around their necks, and they be cast into the depths of the ocean then have the wrath of God focused on them for all eternity!

The exploitation of children will continue throughout the Great Tribulation. The terrible wrath of God that will be manifested against the world at the end of that period, at Armageddon, will be due in part to what will be done to children during the reign of the antichrist! The same judgments of the exploiters at the end of this age will include those exploiters of today. The world should put pressure on Islam to stop exploiting children, but they probably would not even if the world did what it should. The Roman hierarchy should be putting pressure on the priesthood to throw out the homosexuals who are leading this perversion, but even if the hierarchy were to do what it should the priesthood would probably not change. It is the judgment by a holy God that will set straight these examples of twisted moral greed. It is in the coming Kingdom rising out of Judgment where children will finally find peace from the exploiters.

Message From Yoash, King Of Judah

An inscribed stone tablet from the time of Yehoash, King of Judah, has apparently been discovered on the Temple Mount. The black stone tablet, containing ten lines of Phoenician script, describes activities carried out by King Yehoash in the First Temple some 2,700 years ago.

The inscription corresponds to the biblical account as recorded in Kings II 12, including King Yehoash's call to the Cohanim (priests) to collect money from the public for the purpose of renovating the Temple. The inscription details the purchase of wood and "quarried stones," and includes part of a Biblical passage recounting the event.

Nadav Shragai of Ha’aretz revealed the news of the discovery, and the fact that Israel’s Geological Institute has found that the stone is not a forgery. The archaeological community is still awaiting further proof that the find is genuine. Archaeologist Dr. Gabi Barkai said, however, that if it is authentic, it is “perhaps the most important artifact ever uncovered in the annals of archeology in the Land of Israel and Jerusalem.” He said that it would be the earliest known tablet precisely recounting a Biblical event, constituting rare evidence of the existence of the First Temple, which stood on the Temple Mount for over 400 years from the time of King Solomon until its destruction by Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar.

The stone tablet was analyzed for one year by Israel's Geological Institute, which found that, geologically at least, the tablet could date back to the time of the First Temple. Sources at the Institute say that it would be impossible for the Institute's experts not to recognize a forgery based on the extensive tests that were performed on the stone. A research paper detailing the Institute's findings is to be published in two weeks.

The tablet was uncovered during the illegal construction work by the Moslem Waqf on the Temple Mount. Ironically, the purpose of the Waqf’s excavations is to erase all Jewish remains on the Temple Mount Judaism’s holiest site, currently the site of a Moslem mosque.

After its discovery, the tablet was apparently sold to an Arab antiquities collector in Israel, represented by Atty. Yitzchak Herzog. Herzog served as Cabinet Secretary under Prime Minister Ehud Barak and is currently a candidate for the Knesset on the Labor party list. The Arab collector offered to sell it to the Israel Museum, but museum officials, doubting its authenticity, refused to purchase it.

Israeli Experts Examine Ancient Tablet

JERUSALEM (AP) - Israeli geologists said Monday they have examined a stone tablet detailing repair plans for the Jewish Temple of King Solomon that, if authenticated, would be a rare piece of physical evidence confirming biblical narrative.

The find - whose origin is murky - is about the size of a legal pad, with a 15-line inscription in ancient Hebrew that strongly resembles descriptions in the Bible's Book of Kings. It could also strengthen Jewish claims to a disputed holy site in Jerusalem's Old City that is now home to two major mosques.

Muslim clerics insist, despite overwhelming archaeological evidence, that no Jewish shrine ever stood at the site. That claim was made by Palestinian officials in failed negotiations with Israel in 2000 over who would be sovereign there.

The origin of the stone tablet is unclear, making it difficult to establish authenticity.

The Israeli daily Haaretz on Monday quoted an unidentified source as saying it was uncovered in recent years, during renovations carried out by the Muslim administrators of the mosque compound known to Muslims as the Haram as-Sharif, or Noble Sanctuary, and to Jews as the Temple Mount.

From there, it reached a major antiquities collector in Jerusalem, Haaretz said. The Holy Land has a thriving trade in antiquities, often operating on the edge of the law.

The sandstone tablet has a 15-line inscription in ancient Hebrew that resembles descriptions in Kings II, 12:1-6, 11-17, said Israel's Geological Survey, which examined the artifact. The words refer to King Joash, who ruled the area 2,800 years ago.

In it, the king tells priests to take ``holy money ... to buy quarry stones and timber and copper and labor to carry out the duty with faith.'' If the work is completed well, ``the Lord will protect his people with blessing,'' reads the last sentence of the inscription.

The Jerusalem collector has declined to come forward, and David Zailer, a lawyer for the collector, would not say where the tablet was found or give any further details.

 

 

It stands to reason that if the Bible is true then physical evidence should come to light supporting its authenticity. The Dead Sea Scrolls are a case in point. The timing of these finds reflects the hand of God. The Dead Sea Scrolls, and the birth of the State of Israel is one example. The discoveries of the ossuaries of Caiaphas the high priest who scourged the Lord Jesus Christ, and James the brother of Jesus (first pastor of first Christian Church at Jerusalem) are another two examples confirming God's continuing plan  founded on Jews who are needed to make the transition into the Church age. Now, another great find focuses attention on the Jewish Temple where God says the next dispensation will be centered!

This will go right over the heads of most of the world leaders including leading Christians, and I only feel sorry for those who can't see the hand of God in this latest find!

One dispensation ended lasting from Genesis 12 to the end of the Old Testament with the destruction of the last Jewish Temple. The present New Testament dispensation is about to end with the building of the next Jewish Temple that will usher in the next dispensation of the Jewish Kingdom. The return of the Jews to the Holy Land must put the eyes of every Bible scholar on Israel, Jerusalem, and the Temple Mount!

Ossuary Of Jesus’ Brother Backs Up Biblical Accounts

After nearly 2,000 years, historical evidence for the existence of Jesus has come to light literally written in stone. An inscription has been found on an ancient bone box, called an ossuary, that reads “James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus.” This container provides the only New Testament-era mention of the central figure of Christianity and is the first-ever archaeological discovery to corroborate Biblical references to Jesus.

The Aramaic words etched on the box’s side show a cursive form of writing used only from about 10 to 70 A.D., according to noted paleographer André Lemaire of the École Pratique des Hautes Études (popularly known as the Sorbonne University) in Paris, who verified the inscription’s authenticity. The ossuary has been dated to approximately 63 A.D. Lemaire details his full investigation in the November/December 2002 issue of Biblical Archaeology Review, the leading popular publication in its field.

Ancient inscriptions are typically found on royal monuments or on lavish tombs, commemorating rulers and other official figures. But Jesus, who was raised by a carpenter, was a man of the people, so finding documentation of his family is doubly unexpected.

In the first century A.D., Jews followed the custom of transferring the bones of their deceased from burial caves to ossuaries. The practice was largely abandoned after the destruction of the Jewish Temple in 70 A.D. No one knows for certain why the practice started or stopped, but it provides a rare period of self-documentation in which commoners as well as leaders left their names carved in stone.

The new find is also significant in that it corroborates the existence of Joseph, Jesus’ father, and James, Jesus’ brother and a leader of the early Christian church in Jerusalem. The family relationships contained on the new find helped experts ascertain that the inscription very likely refers to the Biblical James, brother of Jesus (see, for example, Matthew 13:55-56 and Galatians 1:18-19). Although all three names were common in ancient times, the statistical probability of their appearing in that combination is extremely slim. In addition, the mention of a brother is unusual--indicating that this Jesus must have been a well-known figure.

Laboratory tests performed by the Geological Survey of Israel confirm that the box’s limestone comes from the Jerusalem area. The patina--a thin sheen or covering that forms on stone and other materials over time--has the cauliflower-type shape known to develop in a cave environment; more importantly, it shows no trace of modern elements.

The 20-inch-long box resides in a private collection in Israel. Like many ossuaries obtained on the antiquities market, it is empty. Its history prior to its current ownership is not known.

The container is one of very few ancient artifacts mentioning New Testament figures. One such object is the ossuary of Caiaphas, the high priest who turned Jesus over to the Romans, according to the Biblical account. Caiaphas’s tomb was uncovered in 1990. Also, some 40 years ago, archaeologists discovered an inscription on a monument that mentions Pontius Pilate.

“The James ossuary may be the most important find in the history of New Testament archaeology,” says Hershel Shanks, editor of Biblical Archaeology Review. “It has implications not just for scholarship, but for the world’s understanding of the Bible.”

The Rabbi And The Yehoash Tablet

The news of the Temple Mount discovery of an inscribed stone tablet from the time of Yehoash, King of Judah, continues to make waves. The archaeological community is skeptical as to the tablet's authenticity. "The fact that the tablet was not revealed to the public in its archaeological context," Dr. Eilat Mazar told Arutz-7 today, "but rather in the antiquities market, means that the burden of proof, beyond any shadow of a doubt, is on those who claim that it is authentic."

Israel's Geological Institute, on the other hand, has carried out exhaustive tests showing that the stone is not a forgery. The artifact was found to have suffered fire damage, which could be confirmation of its presence in the Temple when Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar set the holy site aflame, as recorded in the Bible. The geologists feel, based on the materials covering the tablet, that it was buried some 500-600 years after it was written.

The tablet's ten lines of Phoenician script, written in the first-person, are an account of the renovations King Yehoash carried out in the Temple.

Rabbi Yaakov Meidan, a Bible lecturer from Alon Shvut in Gush Etzion, told Arutz-7 today that he has "hope in my heart that it's authentic, partly based on the tests that were done, and partly based on my knowledge of those who are denying its authenticity... It could be that they're right, but many times they simply don't allow the facts to confuse their theories. In general, there are important streams among the archaeologists who are trying to deny the Bible... while people like me, who are always striving for a 'meeting' with reality - in this case, between the scientific reality and the Biblical verses - certainly see this as a very welcome discovery."

Rabbi Meidan: "Let's say that I get along even without it, but it certainly is a point for our team."

A-7: "Yehoash describes here a project of renovating the Temple, what he did and how he raised the money. Does this square with that which is written in the Book of Kings?"

Rabbi Meidan: "Very much so. It also puts some light on something that doesn't appear in the Book of Kings, but that can tell us something about the personality of King Yehoash that becomes apparent later in Chronicles II [where the King's sins are recounted], showing a slight bit - 'an eighth of an eighth' - of arrogance... Yehoash's life can be divided into two parts: when his mentor Yehoyada the Prophet was alive, and after Yehoyada's death, when Yehoash strayed from the path..."

A-7: "How can you explain that this tablet, which was written some 2,800 years ago, managed to be found at the Temple Mount, which was the site of the destruction of two Temples? How did it last there?"

Rabbi Meidan: "I assume that if we excavate effectively, and if they [the Waqf] allow us to do it, then we will yet find many many things, such as the exact location of the Holy of Holies... It's too bad that this item had to be found via the destructive [works of the Waqf]."

A-7: "What is the most dramatic find that we can expect? The Menorah, or the broken Tablets of the Law, or what?"

Rabbi Meidan: "I'll tell you what is the most important to me: to find the placement of the Altar, for as Maimonides said, the Altar is in a precise spot and is never moved, and this will be an important step towards knowing the exact placement of the Temple and the Holy of Holies."

A-7: "Do you not fear that because of the Waqf works, these findings may have been destroyed?"

Rabbi Meidan: "I certainly fear that this may be the case, and I am even sure that this is what is going on. This is their purpose, to wipe out all vestiges of Jewish presence and bonds to this site, and they [Moslem officials] even say so outright. This is also why they have made up this idea of Moslem sanctity that forbids Jews to enter these sites - something that never was before. They are afraid of the moment that we will arrive, and find things, and thus retake hold of this area in a manner from which there can be no return."

 

I have often accused the professional Biblical Archaeologists as being "anti-Bible," and it is refreshing to see this Rabbi come to the same conclusion. The field of Biblical Archaeology is controlled by the liberals who hate the Bible as much as the Palestinians hate the Jews. They clearly practice biased destructive criticism whenever a find affirms the truth of the Bible. The Bible tells of a time when at the end God chastens the world with 500 pound hail stones. The result is that men do not come to their senses, but rather blaspheme God all the more. The anti-Biblical Archeologists have been hit with a 500 pound apologetic fact confirming the authenticity of the Bible. They are never going to admit it happened. They will deny it to their death! The anti-Biblical Archaeologists join the crowds of liberal evolutionists, and environmental whacko's who will go to the grave before coming to their senses.  Before coming to Jesus Christ!

There is a blindness that comes as a result of selling out to sin that prevents these folks from seeing the nose in front of their face. Those who demand peace at any cost right now in the Middle East rather then wait on God are in this same category. They will follow the antichrist no matter what he does. They will flock to be marked with the 666 identification rather then turn to the soon returning Jewish Messiah.

The hand of God is hard for many to take! The statement by the Rabbi: "This seems like something that you dreamt of finding..." is a case in point. The timing of this find coming during the actual process of the Islamic attempt to erase all evidence of Jewish presences on the Temple Mount is clearly the hand of God! I would expect the lukewarm Church of today to tone down how significant this find really is, and the liberals will just ignore it as if it never happened. This find should be the topic in every pulpit this Sunday, but the silence will well define the condition of even conservative Christianity. We should be crying out "dispensational change is upon us," but silence will be the response to this clear example of God's hand in our day this very week. Silence will be the response to God pointing all to the Temple Mount, at Jerusalem, in the land of Israel where the coming Jewish Kingdom will be centered! The 911 of Biblical Archaeology has happened, and lukewarmness has placed blinders on the eyes of most of even the best of this age!

Converts To Christianity In Fear Of Death From P.A.

Two brothers, former residents of the Palestinian Authority-controlled areas who converted from Islam to Christianity, are now in Israel. They have thus found refuge from possible "death sentences" in the PA - but the question is for how long.

WorldNetDaily.Com reports that one of the brothers, Nasser Salam, was an active member of Arafat's Fatah organization when he converted - leading to his imprisonment and torture. One of the brothers faces a death sentence, but somehow they escaped into areas under Israeli jurisdiction, which issued them 30-day permits.

U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Davis (R-Va.) and the Religious Freedom Coalition are calling upon Israel to extend asylum, at least until arrangements for emigration to Europe or elsewhere can be made. The Fatah terrorist organization has accused both brothers of being Israeli collaborators - a charge that often results in public lynching in the Palestinian Authority. Their sister may already have been murdered, as she has not been heard from since her brothers arrived in Israel.

Rep. Davis, a member of the House International Relations Committee and the Subcommittee on the Middle East, has formally asked the Israeli government, through Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Daniel Ayalon, to assist the Salams. WorldNetDaily.Com reports that just last summer, some 14 PA Arabs were lynched in the town of Tul Karem alone, all on charges of collaboration with Israel. Since the beginning of the Oslo War, over 60 such Arabs have been killed, and the PA has executed at least five others, for the same reason.

William Murray, chairman of the Religious Freedom Coalition, said, "There is widespread knowledge of the persecution of Jews in Islamic areas of the world, but little attention is paid to the price that is paid by Muslims who convert to Christianity. That price is often death."

 

This is a familiar story to me. I was saved at Cicero Bible Church in the days when the mob still ran much of the town. Al Capone was dead, but the mob still considered Cicero their town! Pastor Billy McCarroll conducted a Bible class called the Fisherman's Club. It was not uncommon for gangsters to attend incognito. It was also not uncommon for some of these gangsters to get saved. These were real conversions not the superficial stuff making up the apostate Church of today. Lives changed, and holiness in living became a reality. Every gangster that professed (and possessed) Christ was given an immediate death sentence because honesty now ruled in their life. The mob could only function in an environment of dishonesty. The Christian former gangsters were a threat, and therefore put on the hit list. One of the Chicago papers reported that the mob bosses feared Billy McCarroll more then they feared the Chicago police.

I would hope a Billy McCarroll is working somewhere in the Palestinian controlled territories. I would hope the conversion of these two brothers is not some political move, but real. I would need to watch their lives for a while. I have become a great skeptic of claimed conversions today. I suppose its because I saw the real thing, and can compare that to what I see on a Benny Hinn show. I can discern the lie when I see it, and I see it on most of the other TV shows that have become mainstream Christianity today.

These two Palestinian brothers (who will probably be exploited by the Apostate Church) much represent the price of turning to Christ in the coming years of the Great Tribulation. Only in Israel will refuge be found during the first half of the Great Tribulation. After that Spiritual Israel (Judah) will have fled into the wilderness. The persecution by the antichrist, and his crowd will far outdo the Palestinians or the mob. The price of real conversion is also great today. It may often cost jobs, friends, and even family. The good thing is real conversion brings Christ, eternal life, eternal forgiveness from all sin, and sinless perfection after arriving into heavenly bliss. All made possible because of the cleansing power found in the blood of Christ. His perfect sacrifice will soon be remembered at the Altar of the next Jewish Temple!

There is nothing else like it

On Monday morning, Prof. Nadav Neeman, a historian at Tel Aviv University, was excited when he read the first item published about the existence of an inscription ascribed to Jehoash king of Judea, who ruled in Jerusalem at the end of the 9th century BCE ("Sensation or forgery? The mystery of King Jehoash's black stone inscription," Ha'aretz, January 13). Neeman, whose book "He'avar Hamekhonen et Ha'hoveh" [The Past that Shapes the Present} was published only recently, remembered an article he published in 1998 in a Dutch periodical, to which the inscription ascribed to King Jehoash is suspiciously similar.

For years, Neeman, 63, has been studying the sources that served the writers of the biblical book of Kings. That is his field of expertise. His research is based on the assumption, which is shared by many Bible scholars, that the book of Kings was written many years after the events described in it, and that the author of the book was forced to rely on sources predating the period in which he lived, in order to be able to reconstruct events that took place before his time.

The Jehoash inscription is written in ancient Phoenician script on a black stone tablet that was apparently found on the Temple Mount, and which presumably describes the repair work done by King Jehoash in the Temple. It was examined for many months by two scientists from the Geological Survey of Israel [GSI] research institute, who verified its early age.

The discovery of the tablet has aroused a storm, and some scholars believe that it is a forgery. If it turns out that the stone is authentic, the discovery should help in examining the truth of the events described in the book of Kings.

Neeman's article in the Dutch periodical refers to two texts from the book of Kings with a unique vocabulary: the story of the repairs carried out by Jehoash king of Judea in the Temple (Kings, 12), and the story of the altar built by Ahaz king of Judea, which was similar to the altar in Damascus, in an attempt to placate Tiglath Pileser, king of Assyria, who conquered Damascus at the time (Kings II, 16). Neeman assumed that for those two events one can theorize that the writer who recorded them had access to earlier written sources.

The theory he proposed was that the writer had relied on two royal inscriptions: one written by King Jehoash and one written by King Ahaz. "The `Jehoash inscription,' whose authenticity was verified this week by the GSI, is too similar to the theory I explained in my study," says Neeman, and concludes from this "one of two things - either I hit the nail on the head, and my theory was confirmed fantastically, or the forger read my theory and decided to confirm it. In any case, if in the near future another inscription turns up, the `Ahaz inscription,' I will be convinced that it's a forgery. At present I'm only suspicious."

The appearance of the inscription, as though made to order, is not the only reason for Neeman's suspicion. He says "the inscription looks problematic. It's not similar to any other royal inscription I am familiar with from the ancient Near East, and it is one of a kind in every possible way. It contains several words that do not appear in the Bible, and mainly the conclusion of the supposedly royal inscription: `Yitzav hashem et amo bivrakha' [ May the Name command his people with a blessing]." The royal inscriptions familiar to us from the ancient Near East, says Neeman, "usually end with a curse on anyone who harms the inscription, or sometimes with a blessing for the person who wrote the inscription, whereas here - `Yitzav hashem et amo bivrakha'? There is nothing else like it. Even the emphasis in the inscription on the contribution of the people of Judea to Jehoash's repairs of the Temple is unique, because in royal inscriptions, a king always emphasizes his own activities and completely ignores all the others who participated in the construction."

The kings of Judea

Is it possible that the kings of Judea wrote in a style different from that practiced by their non-Jewish counterparts in the ancient Near East? Neeman says that the only way to prove or disprove the claim that in Judea there was a different writing tradition is to find another royal Judean inscription that would constitute a basis for comparison. Nevertheless, he doesn't believe that the controversy surrounding the authenticity of the Jehoash inscription, which presumably proves the existence of the First Temple, will remain unsolved.

"Salvation will not come from archaeologists or epigraphists," says Neeman. "The forgers were sufficiently sophisticated not to fall into the trap and to contend with the criticism of both the archaeologists and the epigraphists. There is no difficulty today in creating an inscription with writing appropriate to the period, such as the writing on what is called the King Jehoash inscription. This is especially true since archaeologists and epigraphists have no precedent for this kind of inscription - such an ancient Judaic royal inscription."

Neeman believes that those who will be the deciding factor in this debate, in spite of everything, will be the geologists, using the tools of natural sciences, and only after them will come the linguists and the archaeologists who are familiar with the inscriptions of the ancient Near East. He says "only if there is agreement among the geologists that forgery can be ruled out, and that it is impossible to create a patina such as that on this specific find, only then will we be obliged, perhaps, to accept their edict. I don't suspect the geologists who examined the stone in the GSI, but we have to hear additional opinions, and this inscription, whether it's a forgery or an original, has to be open to examination by any scholar, and cannot be hidden with a private collector."

Additional harsh reservations about the GSI decision regarding the authenticity of the inscription came this week from Prof. Ed Greenstein, an expert on the language of the Bible and ancient Semitic languages, also of Tel Aviv University. Greenstein points out that the way in which the expression "bedek bayit" was used in the inscription shows that the forger apparently did not understand what it meant in biblical Hebrew. "In the language of the Bible, `bedek' is the cracks in the building," explains Greenstein. "You reinforce the `bedek habayit' [the cracks in the building]. If you do `bedek bayit' you are making a crack in the building and ruining it. `Bedek habayit,' in the language of the Bible, is the problem that must be repaired. Someone who understands biblical Hebrew would not have used the later expression [in modern Hebrew, it means making repairs] that was derived from this expression."

Greenstein says that the sentence "vehaya hayom hazeh le'edut" [and may this day be testimony] makes strange use of the word "edut." "The word `edut' doesn't exist in ancient biblical Hebrew, i.e. during the First Temple period, except in the meaning of `brit' [covenant], as in the `aron ha'edut' [the Ark of the Covenant]," says Greenstein. The expression used during that period for the word `edut' in its present meaning is `ed' [which today means witness]. This issue, too, in my opinion, proves that it's a forgery." He brings additional proof: "There is no such thing in biblical Hebrew as `titzlah hamelakha' [may the work succeed]. In ancient speech, people succeed, and not the work they do. This expression that the forger used is apparently based on a later text from the Second Temple period, as for example from Chapter 1 in Psalms, where it says, `vekhol asher ya'aseh yatzliah' [and anything he does will succeed].

Moabite forgeries

Opposite those who reject the possibility that the inscription is authentic, to the point of saying that it is a forgery, stands the GSI, whose examinations determined that it was an authentic find. The method of examination and the central series of proofs have already been published ("The Geological Survey for Israel: The `King Jehoash inscription' is not a forgery," Ha'aretz, January 14), and at least for the time being nobody is rejecting it scientifically.

Geologists Dr. Shimon Ilani and Dr. Amnon Rosenfeld, who wrote the paper verifying the authenticity of the inscription, say that they would not have hesitated to reject the inscription and to determine that it was a forgery, had there been a period after the sentence `va'aas et bedek habayit' [and I did the repairs], which is ascribed to King Jehoash himself. "Such a usage is in fact not common in the language of the period," says Ilani, "but the sentence has a continuation: `va'aas et bedek habayit, ve'hakirot mesaviv, ve'et hayatziya ve'hasvakhim ve'halulim ve'hagraot ve'hadlatot' [references to repairs to different parts of the Temple]. Jehoash did everything, and it is possible that at the time, for reasons of brevity, or for linguistic reasons, they used this language. Prof. Andre Lamer of France, who examined the inscription, did not reject this possibility."

Ilani and Rosenfeld choose their words sparingly, and are very careful to respect those who apparently reject their discovery, but they remain insistent: "We are willing to confront any geologist or scientist and to answer any question that tries to undermine the way in which we studied the inscription, and the conclusions stemming from it," they say. "The bottom line is that the find is authentic."

The colleagues of Ilani and Rosenfeld at the GSI are less restrained, especially in light of the position of several archaeologists (Meir Ben Dov and Dr. Ayelet Mazar), who had reservations this week about the decision. "Archaeologists have no criteria to discuss authenticity when they limit themselves only to materials that they have taken out of the ground, or materials about which they know with certainty how, when and with whom they were taken out of the ground," says a geologist who is a colleague of Rosenfeld and Ilani. "An archaeologist has a problem when he methodically rejects anything that has not come from an organized dig. But the museums are full of exhibits that were bought from antique dealers and from the underworld. The ivory pomegranate that used to hang on the robes of the priests and was dated to the First Temple period - where was it dug up? Where were all of Moshe Dayan's Philistine sarcophagi found? Everything was stolen. Did all the exhibits in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem (where they rejected the `Jehoash inscription') come from organized digs?"

At the GSI they mention that experts in the development of writing Dr. Ada Yardeni and Prof. Andre Lamer, historian Prof. Shmuel Safrai and archaeologist Dr. Gabi Barkai, have not ruled that the find is a forgery. Barkai and Safrai have even tended to assume that the find is authentic.

Prof. Avi Hurvitz, an expert on the historical development of the Hebrew language, supplied a balanced view of the controversial find. "The problem in the study of Tanakh [Hebrew Bible] is that these are literary texts that were copied from one generation to the next," explains Hurvitz. "The versions we have today are relatively late. We can't be certain that the Tanakh was written during the time of the events themselves or in proximity to them. The stele of Mesha King of Moab, which was discovered in Transjordan and is accepted by scholars as an authentic inscription, was written in the middle of the 9th century BCE (The Mesha Stele, which was discovered in 1868, was written to commemorate the victories of the king of Moab over the alliance of the kings of Israel, Judea and Edom). Nobody changed it, edited or copied it. It is authentic. The Tanakh, on the other hand, is a text that was copied and edited, and we can't be certain of the antiquity and the authenticity of everything written there."

Hurvitz says that "the Jehoash inscription seems at first glance to accord with what is told in the book of Kings on the one hand, and with the Mesha Stele on the other, both in terms of the form of the letters and in terms of style. A scholar who determines that it is original will say: "Here is an inscription that is perfectly in keeping with the Tanakh, and therefore this is testimony to the truth of events that are described in the Tanakh.' In addition, the text is very similar in the form of the letters and in style to the Mesha inscription. Doubters will say: `This bride is too beautiful,' and will suspect a forgery. `This man,' they will say to themselves, `may have seen the Mesha Stele, forged the inscription according to the style of the Mesha stone, and even made sure to suit its contents to what is written in the Tanakh.' I have to say in their favor that the similarity to the Mesha Stele is in fact suspicious."

Suspicion of everything related to the Mesha Stele is so great because immediately after its discovery, all kinds of archaeological forgeries reached the market, pretending to be Moabite antiquities. "The Institute of Archaeology at the university has a large collection of finds, which is called the Moabite forgery collection," says Hurvitz. "Therefore, when people see such a clear similarity to `Mesha,' suspicion is aroused." Hurvitz also believes that the final answer will be given by the geologists. "They are outside the debate of stylistic, linguistic, biblical and historical similarities, they are entirely objective in all these debates," he says. "You give them the inscription, they check the patina and tell you: `In the case before us, it's from 400 BCE.' This determination removes the inscription attributed to Jehoash from all the periods for which there is a suspicion of a modern forgery."

In spite of this, Hurvitz is hesitant about relying on the two geologists who researched the inscription. "They are first-rate, and I have heard good things about them," he says, but only after additional geologists, perhaps from other schools of research, if they exist, will prove to us with signs and wonders, by means of findings which are external to our debates, with a kind of external control factor, that this inscription is from the period of Jehoash, will we be able to give this find the benefit of the doubt, and to determine that it is in fact authentic. The significance will of course be enormous: An external verification of a biblical text that confirms the existence of the First Temple."

 

I remember one morning in Alaska starting the coffee maker at the fish cannery where I worked as kitchen help during the summers putting myself through Bible School. Two drunks left over from the Friday night bash were arguing while waiting for me to get the coffee going. The one (a philosophy graduate student) was challenging the other to prove he was there? It was so stupid I could only shake my head. I think I know what happened to those educated drunkards. They became Biblical Archaeologists, and Biblical language professors!

The battle rages as the experts take sides. Most of these experts come with predetermined anti-Bible bias.  They will never acknowledge the reality of the Jehoash stone no matter how much proof there is to it's authenticity. I doubt anyone could come up with an argument proving my drunken grad student was there, and no one will convince these biased professors that the Jehoash stone is not a forgery either.

It is the same thing with the Lord Jesus Christ. No matter what the proof most would rather have the freedom to continue in sin then to submit to His call for forgiveness, salvation, and a changed life. They would rather call Him a forgery then admit He is the Savior.

The Geologists are the most factual dealing with the hard evidence which proves authenticity while the Archaeologists and Linguistics can only speculate. All they can do is allow their bias to become overwhelming.

RENEWED WEAPONS FIND PUSHES IRAQ, US CLOSER TO WAR
Israel enters highest state of alert

The day after Israel entered a heightened state of alert ahead of a possible Iraqi-inspired attack, UN weapons teams searched the Baghdad homes of two prominent Iraqi scientists, and within hours announced that they had found 11 empty chemical warheads that had not been previously declared by Iraq.

The uncharacteristic disclosure by the weapons team on Thursday found Iraqi President Saddam Hussein in defiant mood as he marked the 12th anniversary of the 1991 Gulf War with a vow to defeat US troops at the gates of Baghdad.

The Iraqi leader said on Friday that he had mobilized his army and drawn up a plan to counter any invasion by American forces now massing in the Gulf region.

"We have determined and planned to defeat the aggressors. We have mobilized our abilities," he said in a televised speech.

UN weapons chief Hans Blix, in Europe this week as part of a diplomatic tour culminating with a visit to Baghdad Sunday, said Iraq must prove it has destroyed banned weapons to defuse what he called a "very dangerous" situation.

Meanwhile US officials indicated that the discovery of the warheads did not amount to a "smoking gun" that would automatically trigger war, underlining the US administration message that President Bush has not yet decided to abandon diplomacy. The Iraqis meanwhile dismissed the finds as a "storm in a teacup".

Nevertheless White House spokesman Ari Fleischer indicated Thursday that although the US was still hoping to avoid war, Blix's next briefing of the UN Security Council on January 27 could be considered "an important date".

The US administration, largely under pressure from European allies is anxious to appear wedded to the "due process" of the UN Security Council, although the rising level of President Bush's sabre-rattling indicates a ongoing willingness to act unilaterally against Saddam Hussein if, in the final analysis, the international community refuses to back action.

The January 27 also falls on the eve of the Israeli elections, which is seen by some as another significant hurdle delaying the prospect of military action.

Although Blix has said he is "almost sure" diplomats would request another report in February, EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana indicated that he believes the time for inspections is "not very long", adding credibility to suspicions that war could begin as early as February.

On Wednesday Israel entered a security phase known as "Red Hail," a condition that puts the country's air defenses at their highest alert. It also institutes deployment an Arrow anti-missile battery to defend its Northern border from Syrian-backed Hizb'Allah rockets, considered the most potent threat in the region following a US attack on Iraq.
 

 

The dialog is becoming mundane as the world awaits the inevitable. The slow process of getting governments to move is now in play. Israel knows why this coming war with Iraq must take place. America also knows as long as the memory of 911 is kept in mind. The world in general is apathetic to the terrorists, and so it is slow to respond. The world cares little about the daily plight of the Jews. It was only after 911 when the US was attacked that the world began seeing terrorism as a threat needing action. It is only the prodding by the Bush administration that has the world moving at all. Israel suffers daily, but the world reacts with a hard slow moving heart.

Today Israel faces a new threat all alone again. The old nemeses Syria has come up with a new method of expanding terrorism. Rockets from this neighbor open every Israeli  city to a blitz that would out pace London during WW 2 when the Nazis targeted that city with V-2's. The underground news is that Saddam sent Syria an arsenal of functioning scuds to do the job. Israel well knows that to wait on the world to do something is an exercise in futility. The arrow missiles will provide some safety, but their numbers will be hard pressed to keep up with the supplies provided by Iraq. The "Red Hail" alert is not another mundane action in the continuing war with terrorism. It is given because Israel knows the missiles are all but on their way, and the world is doing nothing.

The coming war with Iraq must expand beyond the Iraqi boarders, and I think the Bush administration realizes this. It is not until Israel has some prospect of relief from the many sources of terrorism that a practical peace can finally come to the Middle East, and the world. A peace that I have warned about as opening the road to Armageddon. Somewhere in all this I expect the antichrist to emerge. His peace will sound good, but because of the evil in this man's heart, and that of the world  it will prove futile. There is only one answer for the Middle East, and the world. The answer is the Lord Jesus Christ, and His coming Jewish Kingdom. It can only come through Great Tribulation. The antichrist will blame the God of the Bible for the collapse of his peace plans, and the world will agree. Any peace plan that centers in the hated Jews will find no enthusiasm from this generation.

Jehoash of the recently recovered stone tablet found in the Temple Mount had his problems with Syria. The picture has not changed much over the years. The Bible says the Jewish Kingdom will be the final victor, and Damascus capital of Syria will be left in ruins.

Egypt accepts Turkish invitation to summit to avoid Iraq war

CAIRO, Egypt - Egypt has accepted a Turkish offer to attend a regional summit next week on finding a way to avert a U.S.-led war against Iraq, the Egyptian foreign minister said Saturday.

Ahmed Maher told reporters that the proposed January 23 meeting will not, however, discuss the "the possibility of pressing Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to step down."

Turkey has offered to host Egypt, Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Jordan at a regional peace summit that would work toward a peaceful solution to the U.S.-Iraqi standoff. Speculation has also been rife that Arab leaders may urge Saddam to step down and go into exile in a bid to prevent war from breaking out in the volatile region.

Maher said Egypt has accepted the Turkish invitation "as a concept," but said scheduling difficulties meant there was "little chance" of any heads of state attending the summit.

Maher said that summit venue and level of representation had not yet been confirmed, but he stressed that Cairo would not host the meeting.

In Jordan, Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher said Arab governments are assessing Turkey's summit invitation.

"Jordan is consulting with the Arab countries concerned to agree on an appropriate and unified position to the Turkish invitation," Muasher told visiting Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Sultanov, according to the official Petra news agency.

Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz left Libya on Saturday following talks there with Libyan officials. No details on his visit were available and it his destination was unclear.

Aziz has been touring North African countries in a bid to drum up anti-war support for Iraq.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is also expected to arrive in Libya later Saturday after flying out of Cairo for a previously unannounced visit. No further details were available on his trip.

Egypt, like Iraq's neighbors Turkey, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, finds itself in the difficult situation of being a close ally of the United States, but with a population that is strongly opposed to war against Iraq.

The countries mentioned in the coming "Last Jihad" invasion of Israel found in Ezekiel 38 & 39 are prominent in the news these days.  Ezekiel mentions the following as actively participating while others look on:

The "Chief Prince" (Prince of the Rosh) of Meshech and Tubal who represent the Gog from the land of Magog (Islamic Russians and former Russians)

Persia (Iran)

Ethiopia and Libya (North Africa)

Gomer and his bands (All the Moslems living around the Black Sea)

The house of Togarmah of the north quarters and all his bands (Turkey)

Looking on are Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions of Ezekiel 38:13. The Russian Gog of the land of Magog with it's capital cities of Meshech  (Moscow) and Tubal (Tubalsk) could also be considered as looking on as it's Chief Prince instigates, represents the interests of the Gog, and leads this "Last Jihad."

It is from these invading countries that the three pronged attack plan can be deduced. Israel will be invaded from North, East, and South putting their Western back to the Mediterranean Sea. It is clear an Israeli Dunkirk is what Islam has as its intent as did the Nazis with the mostly English army defending Europe at the beginning of WW-2. It is certain the intent will be the massacre of all the Jews of Israel. It is then that God will manifest His power as of old when He defended the sons of Jacob. The invaders will cross the boarders of Israel as the world watches with hardened heart. It is then that God destroys these invaders on the mountains and in the fields of Israel.

The Islamic alliances needed seem circulating in the winds of today's Middle East politics.

America's Ultra-Secret Weapon

Every war has its wonder weapon. In Afghanistan, it was the Predator, the unmanned drone that would loiter, invisibly, over the battlefield before unleashing a Hellfire missile on an unsuspecting target. The Gulf War marked the debut of precision-guided munitions, and in Vietnam helicopters came of age. World War II gave us the horror of nuclear weapons, and World War I introduced the tank. If there's a second Gulf War, get ready to meet the high-power microwave.

HPMs are man-made lightning bolts crammed into cruise missiles. They could be key weapons for targeting Saddam Hussein's stockpiles of biological and chemical weapons. HPMs fry the sophisticated computers and electronic gear necessary to produce, protect, store and deliver such agents. The powerful electromagnetic pulses can travel into deeply buried bunkers through ventilation shafts, plumbing and antennas. But unlike conventional explosives, they won't spew deadly agents into the air, where they could poison Iraqi civilians or advancing U.S. troops.

The HPM is a top-secret program, and the Pentagon wants to keep it that way. Senior military officials have dropped hints about a new, classified weapon for Iraq but won't provide details. Still, information about HPMs, first successfully tested in 1999, has trickled out. "High-power microwave technology is ready for the transition to active weapons in the U.S. military," Air Force Colonel Eileen Walling wrote in a rare, unclassified report on the program three years ago. "There are signs that microwave weapons will represent a revolutionary concept for warfare, principally because microwaves are designed to incapacitate equipment rather than humans."

HPMs can unleash in a flash as much electrical power—2 billion watts or more—as the Hoover Dam generates in 24 hours. Capacitors aboard the missile discharge an energy pulse—moving at the speed of light and impervious to bad weather—in front of the missile as it nears its target. That pulse can destroy any electronics within 1,000 ft. of the flash by short-circuiting internal electrical connections, thereby wrecking memory chips, ruining computer motherboards and generally screwing up electronic components not built to withstand such powerful surges. It's similar to what can happen to your computer or TV when lightning strikes nearby and a tidal wave of electricity rides in through the wiring.

Most of this "e-bomb" development is taking place at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, N.M. The Directed Energy Directorate at Kirtland has been studying how to deliver varying but predictable electrical pulses to inflict increasing levels of harm: to deny, degrade, damage or destroy, to use the Pentagon's parlance. HPM engineers call it "dial-a-hurt." But that hurt can cause unintended problems: beyond taking out a tyrant's silicon chips, HPMs could destroy nearby heart pacemakers and other life-critical electrical systems in hospitals or aboard aircraft (that's why the U.S. military is putting them only on long-range cruise missiles). The U.S. used a more primitive form of these weapons—known as soft bombs—against Yugoslavia and in the first Gulf War, when cruise missiles showered miles of thin carbon fibers over electrical facilities, creating massive short circuits that shut down electrical power.

Although the Pentagon prefers not to use experimental weapons on the battlefield, "the world intervenes from time to time," Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld says. "And you reach in there and take something out that is still in a developmental stage, and you might use it."

 

Most of us who look at prophecy agree that the weapons used in the prophet's time, and mentioned by him during some far future date should be taken symbolically. The sword should be reflective of the rifle, tanks would be the equivalent of chariots, and the shield as Kevlar body amour etc. We all know the literal translation of the Bible should always be the accepted translation whenever possible. Yet, the future battles found in Ezekiel and Revelation are rarely if ever taken literally when it comes to the instruments of war that will be used.

I just wonder, and what a wonderment it would be, if the literal translation should hold even in the amourments of these future wars? Space age technology could just possibly reduce warfare to the most basic of instruments once again, or even the Lord could render modern weapons unusable? The frying of electronics would bring the horse back to military prominence. Electronic bursts of some sort that could ignite the primers of bullets would bring back the sword. Who knows what the future battlefield of Armageddon will look like? A literal Bible may well be the right way to go?

World-Renowned Collector: “Yehoash Artifact is a Fake”

(IsraelNN.com) The well-known collector of Jewish artifacts, Shlomo Musayoff, and the artifacts researcher and dealer, Robert Deutsch, have both told Arutz Sheva that they believe that the stone tablet with Phoenician writing attributed to King Yehoash of Judea is a fake. According to Deutsch, in fact, the forgery is “embarrassingly poor,” at least based on images published in the newspapers and on internet sites.

Musayoff claims that the “artifact” was produced by a gang of forgers, including Arabs and Jews, scientists and con men, specializing in producing “ancient” Jewish items. According to the collector, the forgers even attempted to sell the Yehoash item to him, but the writing on the tablet was identical to other forgeries from the same gang, so he refused it as a forgery. The same forgers are also accused by Musayoff of being behind the recently publicized sarcophagus supposed to be that of Jesus’ brother.

However, Musayoff did note that his own determination is also not one hundred percent certain, as such claims in the trade in ancient stone artifacts are very difficult to make. He said that geological laboratories can make contradictory determinations and their results should not be given too much weight.

The laboratory that initially produced the results showing that the stone slab is from the correct historical period for King Yehoash has yet to respond to Musayoff’s claims.

 

Caution is always warranted when dealing with artifacts. The greedy forgers have been long at work providing objects for men to venerate as substitutes for God. Solid investigating of any artifact should always be practiced. What I oppose is biased investigations by closed minds as is often the case with finds that confirm the authenticity of the Bible. Time and testing may prove the authenticity of this tablet, but the tests can also contradict each other. The science of dating archaeological objects is not absolute. This tablet may well end up in the same category as the Shroud of Tehran which remains today a debatable issue as to it's authenticity. The Shroud is most probably a forgery in my opinion while I tend to accept the authenticity of the Jehoash stone. It is only opinion, and I try to remain open with these artifacts. I doubt conclusive proof will ever be presented that will end the controversy.

God has been very frugal in the preservation of Biblical artifacts. They are few and far between. The Roman Catholic Church, and much of Christian Orthodoxy often attach false magical powers to such items. It is reason enough for God to keep any such treasures out of the hands of man.  I only wonder how many miracles have been claimed through the adoration of artifacts that are forgeries? God in His wisdom has deprived the world of Biblical artifacts for this reason. The Old Testament Jews had the same weakness of today's magic seeking Christians. They desired objects to worship rather then the invisible God of the Bible. The magic mongering Christians of today learned nothing from their Jewish counterparts. The brazen serpent of Moses designed to exemplify the saving power of faith in Christ was turned into a magical idol that later generations worshiped. It is a sad indictment against man that God must keep hidden, or allow most of the hard evidence of the Bible to have deteriorated into dust.

Men of faith need not such items. The Bible is proof enough that Jesus is the Christ. It is only those of no faith that must have magic as their substitute for Biblical faith. This is why the Charismatic movement of today is building Apostate Christianity. Without faith in the magic of signs and wonders;  Without faith in the magic of ecstatic utterances; They think they will have lost whatever they falsely associated as faith in Christ!!

The Apostate Church of today's Christianity has changed faith in "born again" into faith in Nehushtan!

U.S. Pushing for Palestinian State

American voices calling for a Palestinian state are getting louder, and it's up to the government of Israel to take a strong stand. So says Dr. Yossi Ben-Aharon, former Director-General of Prime Minister Yitzchak Shamir's office and a man with much experience in Israeli-U.S. relations. Ben-Aharon, speaking with Arutz-7's Yosef Zalmanson today, was relating to recent statements by U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, who surprised many by telling the Washington Post on Friday that following the war in Iraq, his government will concentrate its efforts both on establishing a Palestinian state and against the Jewish "settlements" in Judea and Samaria. Wolfowitz is considered one of the more pro-Israel senior members of the U.S. Administration.

"Whenever there is a potential clash with the Arabs," Ben-Aharon said, "the Americans try to find something to mollify them - and it usually comes at the expense of Israel. But it all depends on our government. It must stand strong against these pressures, although this does not seem to be the case with our present Prime Minister." He also noted that U.S. President George Bush is following in the footsteps of his father: "In 1991, Bush promised to coordinate the attack with us, and didn't, and then ended up sending James Baker here to pressure us, culminating in the Madrid Conference. The same scenario is unfolding now again."

The P.A. Heroes: Terrorist Murderers

Palestinian Media Watch reports that a Palestinian Authority soccer tournament, held at a school in Tul Karem, has been named for the suicide terrorist who perpetrated the most murderous attack since the beginning of the Oslo War.

The official PA daily Al Hayat Al Jadida reports that the Tul Karem Shahids Memorial soccer championship tournament of the Shahid [martyr] Abdel Baset Odeh - whose self-explosion murdered 29 Israelis as they were celebrating their Passover Seder last year in a Netanya hotel - began this week, with the participation of seven teams named after other terrorist murderers. Among the teams are "Wajdi Al Hatab," named for an Arab youth who requested that cake be distributed after his martyrdom; "Tarek Abu Safaka," named for a terrorist who killed three Jews in the Shomron town of Hermesh almost a year ago; and "Tarek Alqato," in honor of an Al Aksa Martyrs Brigade terrorist.

 

It is up to Israel to take the responsibility that God has given them to be sovereign over the Holy Land. All the problems Israel of old had by depending on the Gentile nations to solve their problems will come to roost once again. Israel was always the loser when they put their faith in the Gentile nations rather then God. The same lesson is about to be taught to this generation of Jews should they allow the Bush "road map" to be enacted. A Palestinian State is the same as giving the Nazi's a similar state in the midst of Israel were that possible. The perpetrators of the holocaust exhibited the same hate for the Jews as we see in today's Palestinians. The same contempt for women and children as demonstrated on the train platforms of the concentration camps is seen in every joyous parade for the suicide bombers.

This "road map" must change! It is like giving all the Islamic terrorists and their families Indiana or Illinois on the hope they will be pacified, and no longer teach hate of the infidels. This is a foolish plan that will never work.

It appears the peace coming on the heels of victory over Iraq will be far more dangerous then the war.

 

Please be praying for me. I just got back from my check-up at the VA, and they discovered a rupture in the retina of my right eye. My left eye is also damaged. They will be sending me to Raleigh/Durham as soon as possible where they have the equipment to do the laser surgery necessary to seal up the rupture, and fix all the smaller leaks. My vision has terribly deteriorated these last few months. I could not even read. the top line on the eye chart. I've lost about 40% of my vision due to the retina damage. The prognosis is good for reversing the damage.

SHARON FACING POST-ELECTION CHOICE BETWEEN SECULAR AND HAREDI PARTNERS

With one week to go before the Israeli elections, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and his Likud party appear to have weathered the media onslaught of corruption allegations, leaving Labor candidate Amram Mitzna all but admitting defeat. In his place, the crusty leader of Shinui, Yosef "Tommy" Lapid, is emerging as the key figure in the post-election wrangling to form a coalition government.

The Likud was still sliding in the polls when Sharon went on Israeli television nearly two weeks ago to answer charges involving a loan from a South African businessman to his sons to repay an illegal 1999 campaign contribution. Labor leaders had exploited the brewing scandal, demanding that Sharon come clean or resign.

But when the head of the state elections commission pulled the plug on Sharon for "electioneering" halfway thru the press conference, many voters felt the prime minister indeed was being treated unfairly by the left and its media allies and began returning to the Likud fold. From that moment, the party began marking its recovery in the polls, which also showed that the Labor strategy to brand Sharon as a "godfather" was backfiring.

Within days, the margin between the two traditional heavyweights of Israeli politics began to grow again, from a gap as slim as three Knesset seats to as many as 12. With Labor dropping below 20 mandates in some surveys, Mitzna's campaign team decided on a new strategy to halt defections to the centrist Shinui faction.

At his own press conference last week, Mitzna expressly ruled out Labor joining Sharon in a unity government after the elections. The announcement was aimed primarily at keeping left-of-center voters from switching to Shinui, which has been pushing for a secular, Zionist unity government minus the ultra-religious parties Shas and United Torah Judaism.

Mitzna's maneuver, however, stirred a ruckus within Labor ranks and failed to budge the party's dismal standing in the polls. One Labor insider explained that, in the eyes of the public, opposing unity during time of national crisis was as unpopular as saying you opposed peace.

Some Laborites complained that Mitzna was essentially conceding the race, and a move is now afoot to dump him in favor of party elder Shimon Peres, who would capture up to 30 Knesset slots according to the latest Ma'ariv survey.
 

 

Israeli politics will be going on until the day the Lord Jesus Christ returns to the Mount of Olives from where He will proceed through the Eastern Gate to sit on the throne of the Third Jewish Temple.

The two leading Israeli parties are the Likud Party which are the conservatives, and the Labor Party which are the bleeding heart liberals. God through circumstances controls which party will lead the secular government of Israel as He controls all the governments on earth. This includes all the politics done under the disguise of religion! They are all corrupt, but subject to the highest power whether they acknowledge the God of the Bible or not. All governments, all nations, all religions are nothing but dust before the omnipotent God of the Bible who allows them their day in the sun at His own pleasure.

The Kingdoms of the Gentiles is coming to an end. Soon, only the Jewish Kingdom will be all that matters. Secular Jews will be in need of salvation. The Great Tribulation has this conversion as it's main purpose. It will be through great tribulation that many secular Jews will become spiritual Jews. They will be "born again" by circumcision of the heart as the Bible defines Old Testament conversions. Salvation in the Christ who was yet to come will soon be a circumcised heart through the Christ who shed His blood at Calvary. The battle for the Jewish heart will destroy the gentile powers, and secular Israel along with them. The last Jewish politician will be the idol/foolish shepherd of the Great Tribulation! A compromiser who will think he can strike a deal with the beast. The last attempt at peace with the gentiles! Never again will there be a divided Israel. Never again will the Jews look away from their God to the flesh pots of gentile deception.

US begins secret talks to secure Iraq's oilfields

The US military has drawn up detailed plans to secure and protect Iraq's oilfields to prevent a repeat of 1991 when President Saddam set Kuwait's wells ablaze.

The US state department and Pentagon disclosed the preparations during a meeting in Washington before Christmas with members of the Iraqi opposition parties.

Iraq has the second biggest known oil reserves in the world producing, in their current run-down state, about 1.5m barrels a day. But experts contacted by the Guardian predict this could rise to 6m barrels a day within five years with the right investment and control.

At the meeting, on the future of a post-Saddam Iraq - details of which have been disclosed to the Guardian - the state department stressed that protection of the oilfields was "issue number one".

One of those at the meeting said the military claimed that a plan to protect the multibillion oil wells was "already in place", hinting that special forces will secure key installations at the start of any ground campaign.

As well as immediate concern about the environmental impact of having hundreds of Iraqi wells on fire, US, British, Russian, French and other international oil companies are already taking soundings about Iraq's multibillion pound oil supply.

The companies are reluctant to mention oil in public, fearing it will feed Arab suspicion that it is the main factor in the confrontation with Iraq.

Yet, with war looming, discussions in private have inevitably begun on the future of the world's second biggest oil reserves.

The US and British governments deny that oil is a factor in the confrontation with Iraq.

The Foreign Office minister, Mike O'Brien, said yesterday: "The charge that our motive is greed - to control Iraq's oil supply - is nonsense, pure and simple. It is not about greed: it is about fear [about the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction]."

The US secretary of state, Colin Powell, told the Boston Globe yesterday: "If there is a conflict with Iraq, the leader ship of the coalition [will] take control of Iraq. The oil of Iraq belongs to the Iraqi people. Whatever form of custodianship there is ... it will be held for and used for the people of Iraq. It will not be exploited for the United States' own purpose."

Asked whether US companies would operate the oilfields, Mr Powell said: "I don't have an answer to that question. If we are the occupying power, it will be held for the benefit of the Iraqi people and it will be operated for the benefit of the Iraqi people."

 

I suppose the Western politicians have convinced themselves of pure motive as they plan to take control of the Iraqi oil fields. The antichrist who is waiting in the wings as a future leader of the West does not have such pure motives. I expect whatever the motive may be today it will turn to pure greed when the antichrist uses Iraqi oil to take economic control of the world. No one will buy or sell without his mark of approval. The building of Babylon after the fall of Saddam will appear to keep the wealth for the Iraqis, but the antichrist will greedily take it all to finance his own ambitions. I expect this future leader of the Western World will take control of all the Middle East oil. The "Last Jihad" of Ezekiel 38 & 39  will end Islamic influence in the Middle East giving the antichrist his opening to place all the oil under his control. I doubt he will be keen on taking control of Israel, Jerusalem, and the Temple Mount in the aftermath of the Ezekiel 39 judgment. A peace treaty with Israel giving them Western approval to build their Temple is how I would expect events to take place after Ezekiel 39. The foolish shepherd of secular Israel will sign the treaty that will only last for 3'1/2 years. The Spiritual Jews will be allowed to bull doze the Temple Mount cleansing it of all the heathen filth. The Two Witnesses of  Revelation will have direct contact with God as to the building and conduct of worship of the Third (Ezekiel's) Jewish Holy Temple. They will have 3-1/2 years to accomplish this their testimony, and then it will be finished! I'm convinced their testimony will be the mandate God gives them to establish Ezekiel's Temple (Ezekiel 40 - 48) on the Temple Mount.

I watch with anticipation how events will proceed after the fall of Saddam! I expect the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 & 39 is near at hand. I know a kosher Jewish Holy Temple will be center to the Great Tribulation. It will be desecrated by the antichrist mid-way through the Great Tribulation. I know a cleansed and purified Temple will be the center of government during the millennial reign of Christ. I know that Temple (Ezekiel 40 -48) is described in detail as the next chronological event after Ezekiel 38 & 39! The fall of Saddam just may trigger the unfolding of all these expected events?

Conservative Withdraws From AIDS Panel

WASHINGTON - A Christian activist chosen by the White House for a presidential AIDS (news - web sites) advisory panel is withdrawing his name under pressure after characterizing the disease as the "gay plague," along with other anti-homosexual statements.

The administration had chosen Jerry Thacker to serve on the Presidential Advisory Commission on HIV (news - web sites) and AIDS. He was to be sworn in along with other new commission members next week by Health and Human Services (news - web sites) Secretary Tommy Thompson.

On Thursday, however, Thacker was sending a letter signaling that he would not accept the appointment, administration officials said.

White House press secretary Ari Fleischer (news - web sites), while neither confirming nor denying the withdrawal, issued a stern rebuke of Thacker's statements.

"The views that he holds are far, far removed from what the president believes," Fleischer said. "The president has a total opposite view. ... The president's view is that people with AIDS need to be treated with care, compassion."

The administration's choice of the Pennsylvania marketing consultant had come under severe criticism from gay rights groups and others. Thacker contracted the AIDS virus after his wife was infected during a blood transfusion.

Thacker is a former Bob Jones University graduate who later ran a radio station at the school, and his Web site at one point referred to AIDS as the "gay plague." He also referred to gay people as practicing a "death style," rather than a lifestyle. He has described homosexuality as a condition that can be cured by Christianity.

Like the Bush administration, he promotes abstinence from sex as the way to prevent HIV infection. "For the unmarried, the only truly 'safe sex' is not to have sex," Thacker has written.

He describes himself as an activist in the Christian community.

In September 2001, Thacker returned to his alma mater to give two "Chapel Messages." As once summarized on the university Web site, the speeches focused on the "sin of homosexuality" and his family's struggle with AIDS and its association with gays.

The 35-member commission advises the White House on AIDS prevention and treatment policy.

David Smith of the Human Rights Campaign, a gay rights advocacy group, applauded the news that Thacker would not join the panel but said Bush administration AIDS policies still fall far short.

"While this is a positive development, the underlying problem continues to remain with this administration's approach to HIV and AIDS," Smith said. "They're obsessive focus on abstinence as the solitary mechanism to prevent the transmission of HIV is not based in sound science. They continue to come from an ideological perspective as opposed to a scientific perspective."

 

Since when has speaking truth become a matter of anti-compassion? Jesus told the world it was on its way to hell unless there is repentance! Does that mean He had no compassion for the lost? Calvary makes such accusations nothing less then blasphemy. This fellow David Smith has almost no prospect for a long life. He is living a lifestyle that puts him at greater risk then that of an alcoholic or drug addic. Yet, political correctness prevents any with real compassion for this poor fellow to say a word!

Let me speak truth. The Two Witnesses of Revelation will smite the world with plagues as often as they will. They will speak with fire as they denounce sin, and announce the coming Holy Kingdom. What kind of plagues will they bring down on earth when speaking against the sin of homosexuality? I wonder if it is possible to have a plague more specific then AIDS to force their condemnation, and need of repentance on ears that will not hear?

Political correctness is the same as religious correctness, and in this world the Fundamental Christian speaking truth from the literal Bible is outside the main stream of today's Christianity. Lukewarm, bleeding heart, evangelicalism has pushed out the fundamentalists. There is only one theology that is correct! The theology that agrees that Jerry Thacker is a bad choice to be on the AIDS Advisory Commission will be measured by the literal Bible as to correctness. It will be judged wrong! The anti-argument that fundamentalists lack compassion will not fly. Another politically incorrect position of fundamentalism is recognition that the Roman Catholic Church is Apostate, and Christians must stand apart from it. Every fundamental revival of the past stood against the Romanists and their idolization of Mary and their politically appointed saints. The perverted homosexual priesthood exposed today is proof enough that separation is the correct position. Today, false claims of being fundamental can be measured by the relationship with Roman Catholicism!

It was the fundamentalists who were proven right when they held to a literal Jewish Israel fulfilling all the prophecies of the latter days. It is the fundamentalists who stand firmly opposed to the Charismatic lie of today's main stream Christianity. There is only one theology that is correct! It is not the neither cold or hot evangelical who says nothing to the Benny Hinn's or Pat Robertson's, but rather join in by jumping on the band wagon. The Great Apostate Christian Church has grown to maturity in today's Christianity. It is about to find the judgment God has measured out for it during the Great Tribulation! It compromised the truth, being born again, and the Lord Jesus Christ against which the wrath of the Lamb will be manifested. The indictment "I never knew you" will be eternal to all the tares left behind!

It's high tide for ice age climate change.(Brief Article)

Earth's climate veers between warm and cool roughly every 1,500 years. Many scientists have thought that sunspots choreograph these fluctuations, but new research puts the spotlight on the moon.

A few years ago geochemist Charles D. Keeling and geophysicist Timothy P. Whorf, both of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, Calif., suggested that Earth's climate doesn't swing with sunspot rhythms but instead syncopates to the beat of the tides.

When tides are higher than usual, the scientists say, they bring colder water to the surface from deep in the ocean and lead to an overall Earth cooling. In a report in the April 11 PROCEEDINGS OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES, the researchers propose that the tides may sometimes be strong enough to tug Earth into an ice age.

 

Not that long ago respected scientists were concerned with the next Ice Age. Today,Global warming is the popular  political tool of the liberals meant to scare the gullible into giving them control. It is Chicken Little crying the sky is falling. It is pseudo-science gone crazy. I watched this political maneuvering develop over the years. The Hollywood crowd not noted for good morals made a full frontal assault on the most gullible of our society - the children! I watched the Saturday morning cartoon blitz aimed at controlling this latest generation through absolute fear that without their active participation in the global warming hysteria the world will end! This generation has for the most part abandoned God. They give Him some lip service, but see Him as impotent when it comes to the global warming perceived pollution problems.

There is a global pollution disaster coming that is real, and not from this phony Chicken Little global warming political movement. It will be sudden, and directly attributed to the wrath of God. The Great Tribulation though aimed primarily at the conversion of secular Israel will also be the final judgment on the gentile nations. Apostate Christianity will be under the double threat of both an ungrateful antichrist, and the wrath of the Lamb.

The end of the world is coming! The Hollywood crowd will have the snickers of their apparent success slapped off their faces as the reality of God's judgment comes. All the politicians either liberal or conservative will find their sins have found them out. The world is about to find there is only one refuge. There is only one savior. There is only the Biblical Lord Jesus Christ who can deliver from the magnitude of these coming disasters!

QUARTET'S ROAD MAP STILL IN THE GLOVE BOX

Next week's Israeli elections were supposed to be a deadline of sorts for the formal unveiling of the Quartet's "road map" to Palestinian statehood, but the Bush administration may now be postponing its release until that other "day after" - the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

At Jerusalem's request, Washington has delayed for the past two month's any official endorsement or publication of the Middle East peace plan worked out with its Quartet partners, pending Israel's January 28 national elections. To the disappointment of European leaders, US officials explained it was only fair that Israel have time to put its house in order before confronting the latest demands of the international community.

But Paul Wolfowitz, the US deputy secretary of defense, suggested last week that current events may call for another deadline, telling The Washington Post that American efforts "pushing for a Palestinian state will grow" after military action against Iraq.

As if to confirm the point, William Burns, the top US envoy for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, is in the Middle East this week to talk primarily about Iraq, not the intifada.

American preparation for a military campaign against Iraq has simply diverted all attention away from the roadmap to Palestinian statehood, according to strategic analysts in Washington, and it will only be unfolded after the dust settles around Baghdad.
 

The last time there was a scheduled announcement that the US was going to take an official position on the formation of a Palestinian State was when Colin Powell planed to make that announcement on 9/11/01. The terrorist attack pre-empted the announcement which has sat on the back burner ever since. It seems like the world has little regard when God very clearly intervenes. Israel, Jerusalem, and the Temple Mount are critical to God's plans for the coming Jewish Kingdom. A Palestinian State goes contrary to the Bible. There is no compromise with the God of the Bible! Any Palestinian State will force God into action. There can be no compromising with the gentiles when the Jewish Kingdom comes! This does not mean that men can't form such a State, but it does mean that such a State is doomed to fail.

An un-submitted anti-Jewish Islamic Palestinian State in the midst of Israel with it's capital at Jerusalem is slapping God in the face. God put up with such behavior from the world when His Son was crucified because this was the only way a perfect once and forever sacrifice for sin could be accomplished. It is not God's purpose to stand back this time under this kind of assault. A hate filled Islamic State is being thrust in His face by the gentile nations. The whole gentile world will be thrust into Armageddon as the result of such pompous action by the politicians.

The 9/11 warning from God should not be taken lightly. It is Israel, Jerusalem, and the Temple Mount that are center to God's focus on planet earth. The coming Jewish Kingdom will not be forced into second place for gentile wishes. The times are a changing! The next Jewish dispensation is where God's "road map" is leading!  The wrath of the Lamb is what will be released should the gentiles continue to defy God's perfect plan in the returning Messiah/Christ. The King is coming!

It is election day in Israel. This government may well be the one that will sign the peace plan doomed to fail. The peace plan that will sell out the Holy Land, the Arab quarter of Jerusalem, and Jewish sovereignty over the Temple Mount. A false peace that will cause Israel to trust the gentiles for their security. A false peace that will give Islam a message of weakness leading to the "Last Jihad" invasion of Ezekiel 38 & 39.

I fully expect God's answer to this secular government should they do what seems coming will be the first two Old Testament type prophets who will speak for Him at Jerusalem in over 2000 years. They will be the foundation of a return to the Bible by a new spiritual movement among the Jews. They will end this phony peace by declaring a mandate from God to build the Third Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in opposition to secular Judaism. A declaration that militant Islam will seize as a pretext to invasion.  I expect the antichrist to have enough control of Weston politics by this point to where he ties the hands of the Western governments into inaction during the invasion. The miraculous victory of Israel over Islam will lead to a new peace treaty. This time with the antichrist who will give the Western world's sanction for the building of the Third Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount.

This is all speculation on my part, but I can picture the events described as I compare the Bible with current events. It is time that will prove me out of touch with the Bible or not? Circumstances change, and with them the speculations of possible prophecy fulfillment. The events will happen at some point in time. I am speculating that this is that point. That this return of the Jews to the Holy Land has the single purpose of bringing in the Jewish Kingdom dispensation.

POWELL SAYS PALESTINIAN STATE POSSIBLE BY 2005

The United States foresees a Palestinian state by 2005 if the Palestinians "clamp down on terrorism" and if Israel stops settlement construction, Secretary of State Colin Powell said on Sunday.

"A Palestinian state, when it's created, must be a real state, not a phony state that's diced into a thousand different pieces," he said at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Switzerland.

Israeli diplomatic sources did not make an official response to Powell's comments. In recent weeks, public US comments on the Middle East have been seen by Israeli officials within the context of a desire to appease the Arabs in advance of the Iraq campaign.

Powell said he was committed to the road map drawn up by the Quartet the US, EU, Russia, and the UN for "lasting peace" and a Palestinian state in 2005.

Powell called on the Palestinians to install a "responsible" leadership and representative government that will "clamp down on terrorism, that will say to its people, 'Terrorism is not getting us anywhere. It is not producing what we want, a Palestinian state."

He said Israel will have to "build trust by easing the plight of ordinary Palestinians and by putting an end to settlement construction."
 

God's "road map" from the Bible

What there is on God's "road map" is provision for the gentile stranger!

22 And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

It is here that the submitted Palestinian will find an inheritance. It is here where the humbled American will find a place among God's chosen. It is here among the strangers that the converted Chinaman, and even the redeemed Bohemian will find acceptance as if each were born a natural Jew in the land. These gentile strangers will leave behind their corrupted cultures for a place among the tribes of Israel. Every gentile willing to come to the Jewish Messiah/King will find the spirit of adoption availed to him or her. Much like Ruth the Moabites found an inheritance through Boas her kinsman redeemer so also will those few gentiles who come find Jewish tribes willing to adopt them into the commonwealth of the Jewish Kingdom.

The next dispensation begins with all of mankind left after the Great Tribulation living on this one small piece of planet earth (the Holy Land). Everyone else will be dead! A new beginning much like that of Noah and his family. An entirely Jewish Kingdom will be all that remains with which the Lord Jesus Christ will begin His thousand year reign. The planet will be cleansed from the flow of water mixed with blood from under the altar of the Jewish Temple. Mankind will again repopulate the planet. Righteousness will reign with Christ, and He will control man wherever he may roam. Jewish law will be the only religion, the only government, and the only culture allowed. Mankind will not be granted the freedom to sin openly. The law as always will be the schoolteacher pointing all men to the grace of God rightly honored in the blood that will be sacrificed daily at the Temple. Every new born will have need of coming to the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. Every new born will have need of a circumcised heart which only the blood of Christ can surgically sustain. The Old Testament and New Testament will come together in perfect unity as the law of righteousness is taught to every new generation. It will be a glorious time for those who seek righteousness, and a living hell for those who desire freedom to sin. Not until the very end of the thousand years will rebellion against righteousness make a public appearance. The Bible says Satan will be loosed but for a season. The rebellion will end as quickly as it starts, and then the Bible says the Great White Throne Judgment of God will take place. Only those written in the Lamb's Book of Life will survive to go into eternity with their Savior. A new heaven and new earth are the promise for every born again circumcised believer in Christ!

SHARON'S VICTORY HUGE, BUT NOT SO SWEET

It is tempting to declare certain parties as clear-cut winners and losers in Israel's national elections on Tuesday, after Likud and Shinui scored impressive gains and Labor and Meretz were whittled down to their ideological core.

But returning prime minister Ariel Sharon set a fittingly sober tone in his late-night victory speech, knowing the nation still confronts daunting war-and-peace issues and has little room right now to open up the fragile religious-secular divide in Israeli society.

Yesterday's balloting indeed confirmed a major rightward shift in the Israeli electorate since the collapse of Oslo and outbreak of the violent Palestinian intifada two years ago. Factoring out the Israeli Arab vote, it is evident that some 70% of Jewish voters are now hawkish on the Palestinians and supportive of Sharon's get-tough approach.

As a result, the Labor party of David Ben-Gurion and Yitzhak Rabin - the party that founded the state and built its institutions - went down to a truly "historic" defeat.

Laborites were already blaming their loss on a lack of time and personality, contending their new and non-charismatic chairman Amram Mitzna had only 60 days to introduce himself to the general public. But like Ehud Barak's trouncing at the hands of Sharon two winters ago, this crushing defeat is not about flawed personalities, but failed policies. The nation simply rejected Mitzna's formula for quick, unilateral surrender to terrorism.

Instead, Sharon appears to have broad support for his go-slow approach that refuses to reward Palestinian violence and relies heavily on strategic US backing to decelerate the international drive for Palestinian statehood.

Yet even at his moment of triumph, Sharon reached out to Labor in his victory speech, saying he wanted to revive the national unity government of the past two years, along with its coalition guidelines. Those guidelines would implicitly allow Sharon to work gradually over time with the Bush Administration towards a demilitarized and quasi-sovereign Palestinian state.

GRISLY SHARON CARTOON MARS BRITAIN’S HOLOCAUST DAY

The Israeli Embassy in London has sent a strongly worded letter of protest to Britain’s Independent newspaper, following an editorial cartoon Monday depicting Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon biting the head of a Palestinian baby.

The cartoon’s appearance coincided with the UK’s third annual Holocaust Memorial Day commemorating the 57th anniversary of the liberation of the infamous Auschwitz death camp.

Set against the background of Apache helicopters firing missiles and blaring the message “Vote Likud,” a monster-sized Sharon indignantly sneers, "What's wrong? Have you never seen a politician kissing a baby?"

In her letter, Shuli Davidovich, the embassy's press secretary, writes: "As Britain commemorates National Holocaust Day, I am shocked that The Independent has chosen to evoke an ancient Jewish stereotype which would not have looked out of place in ‘Der Sturmer', and which can unfortunately still be found in many Arabic newspapers.”

Similar pictures of Jews biting babies were the stock in trade of state sponsored anti-Semitic propaganda in 1930’s Nazi Germany, and are recognized by most historians as a having helped prepare the way for Hitler’s ‘Final Solution,’ in which over 6 million European Jews were murdered by the Nazi regime.

 

Sharon and the conservatives won big. The liberal Labor party lost big time. The fickle politics of secular Israel has taken a 180 degree turn from the peace process the liberal Bill Clinton pressured the Jews to accept. A process that produced the terrorism which reached our shores on 9/11. The 1993 Oslo peace accords is a perfect picture of a false peace. The liberal media (before the FOX phenomenon) kept spinning it as peace while Arafat and his thugs established the Palestinian Authority Terrorist Organization. Jewish blood began to be measured by the barrel as peace was headlined to the public. Today, Israel has made the final decision as to how effective the liberal peace was! The bleeding heart liberals have brought down their old liberal government!

Now the conservative secular Jews are going to press their false Peace! A conservative Bush administration is pressing a Palestinian State as their Oslo type "road Map." This peace coming on the heels of the Iraq war will be the peace that will most likely end with the Last Jihad and then Armageddon!

The world hates the Jews whether liberal or conservative. With this in mind, Imagine how the world will hate righteous Jews who will be like schoolteachers exposing the gentile world as absolutely corrupt, and ready for eternal judgment. There will be no politics in the coming Jewish Kingdom. There will only be righteousness that will be manifested in absolute holy justice! The gentile world, and secular Judaism  will soon have a new Jew to hate. A Jew who will respond to God's offer of grace through the blood of Jesus Christ. A Jew who will be humbled and changed into conformity with what God expects of His children! A Jew who will truly reflect his coming King's sovereignty over his circumcised heart.

Europe and America must stand united

THE real bond between the United States and Europe is the values we share: democracy, individual freedom, human rights and the Rule of Law. These values crossed the Atlantic with those who sailed from Europe to help create the USA. Today they are under greater threat than ever.

The attacks of 11 September showed just how far terrorists — the enemies of our common values — are prepared to go to destroy them. Those outrages were an attack on all of us. In standing firm in defence of these principles, the governments and people of the United States and Europe have amply demonstrated the strength of their convictions. Today more than ever, the transatlantic bond is a guarantee of our freedom.

We in Europe have a relationship with the United States which has stood the test of time. Thanks in large part to American bravery, generosity and far-sightedness, Europe was set free from the two forms of tyranny that devastated our continent in the 20th century: Nazism and Communism. Thanks, too, to the continued cooperation between Europe and the United States we have managed to guarantee peace and freedom on our continent. The transatlantic relationship must not become a casualty of the current Iraqi regime’s persistent attempts to threaten world security.

In today’s world, more than ever before, it is vital that we preserve that unity and cohesion. We know that success in the day-to-day battle against terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction demands unwavering determination and firm international cohesion on the part of all countries for whom freedom is precious.  ....

We are confident that the Security Council will face up to its responsibilities.

Alliances change with the wind in the volatile political world of today. Here eight Nations join with the US in solidarity of political will as the coming invasion of Iraq causes much controversy. I'm sure before this is finished  many more Nations will join this alliance. Nations from the old Eastern block are now shifting their alliances showing solidarity with the West as the face of the world changes. The final alignment of the gentile nations seems blowing in the wind. The Bible reveals a Western alliance of 10 kingdoms will be the final forum from which the antichrist will arise. The events involving Iraq may well be molding that final 10 kingdom Western configuration. The West will lead the world into the Great Tribulation. I would imagine there will be a lot of shuffling for power, and influence between the many Western aligned Nations as the final 10 Western kingdoms become united.

It is interesting that values are the uniting factor in this latest alignment. I have no doubt the antichrist will present himself as a man of values. He may uphold conservative values, or liberal values, or some new value system? Whatever, it will be popular, and what the people of the world want to hear. The world can rally around values, but it hates righteousness. Unity can be established through causes, through personalities, and even value systems, but only the unity found in the fullness of Christ has the approval of God. Only the righteousness of the coming Jewish Kingdom will be allowed to survive into the next dispensation!
