TRINITY FOUNDATION WARNS OF HINN'S ANTICS

Benny Hinn Ministries dismisses a news report which questioned its fundraising practices, financial accountability, and claims of physical healings. The late Dec. story on NBC's Dateline was the result of a two-year undercover investigation into Hinn and his worldwide ministry. Dateline producers and reporters interviewed former Hinn employees who claimed his main priority is bringing in millions of dollars to finance a lavish personal lifestyle. The report gave details of Hinn's plans to build a $3 million house on the West Coast. It also featured several who claimed to have been healed at Hinn crusades, only to die a short time later. Ole Anthony runs the Trinity Foundation which investigates televangelists. He says Christians need to think twice before supporting Hinn's ministry. "There are thousands…that follow him all over the country [who are] severely disabled in wheelchairs that go because they believe the next crusade is going to be where their healing is going to happen," Anthony says. "Well, that's just not scriptural."...Hinn would not agree to an interview, but a spokesman said Dateline found no incriminating evidence against the ministry. (AgapePress)

There are many reasons for Christians to see we are in the last days of the Church age. Benny Hinn and his buddies is one of the biggest signs why this is the end. His success and popularity reflects the kind of Christianity "born again" professing main stream believers in Christ want, or do not separate themselves from. Christians don't need Dateline to tell them the truth of what this fellow is about. His fruit has long proceeded the Dateline report. I'm sure the reporters thought once the millions of Christian followers of this leader of the Charismatic movement see the truth they will abandon this wolf in sheep's clothing. The truth is they knew all the time! It is what they want the world to believe the Biblical Christ is like! It is their Christ! The "born again" Christ of apostasy.

NASA Loses Touch With Shuttle Columbia

NASA Declares an Emergency After Losing Communication With Space Shuttle Columbia Ahead of Landing

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. Feb. 1 —

NASA declared an emergency after losing communication with space shuttle Columbia as the ship soared over Texas several minutes before its expected landing time Saturday morning.

The shuttle was carrying the first Israeli astronaut and six Americans, and authorities had feared it would be a terrorist target.

Fifteen minutes after the expected landing time, and with no word from the shuttle, NASA announced that search and rescue teams were being mobilized in Dallas and Fort Worth areas.

Inside Mission Control, flight controller hovered in front of their computers, staring at the screens. The wives, husbands and children of the astronauts who had been waiting at the landing strip were gathered together by NASA and taken to separate place.

Columbia was at an altitude of 200,700 feet over north-central Texas at a 9 a.m., traveling at 12,500 mph when mission control lost contact and tracking data.

NASA, while not saying the shuttle had exploded, broken up or crashed, warned that any debris found in the area should be avoided and could be hazardous.

There were reports of debris seen falling.

In 42 years of human space flight, NASA has never lost a space crew during landing or the ride back to orbit. In 1986, space shuttle Challenger exploded shortly after liftoff.

Security had been tight for the 16-day scientific research mission that included the first Israeli astronaut.

Ilan Ramon, a colonel in Israel's air force and former fighter pilot, became the first man from his country to fly in space, and his presence resulted in an increase in security, not only for Columbia's Jan. 16 launch, but also for its landing. Space agency officials feared his presence might make the shuttle more of a terrorist target.

On launch day, a piece of insulating foam on the external fuel tank came off during liftoff and was believed to have struck the left wing of the shuttle.

Leroy Cain, the lead flight director in Mission Control, had assured reporters Friday that engineers had concluded that any damage to the wing was considered minor and posed no safety hazard.

 

It is a sad day. The hearts of many go out to the families, and loved ones of the astronauts. They are this generation's Vikings. They are the frontiers men and woman who blazed the trails into new lands. They reawaken the adventurous character of the first polar explorers. We all look up to their courageous spirits of reaching into the unknown. It is always sad when we lose some of them to the hazards of their calling. The danger they face is part of what we admire in them. It is always sad when that danger comes full circle as happened in this tragic event.

Death is as common as birth, and yet man struggles with this the most common of experiences. I have never experienced travel into space, but I will die. We all die! All the knowledge of all the science still can't address the pain of death. The songsters present death as a person who's icy fingers shut down the life sustaining systems of heart and lung. He can't be bribed with silver or gold. It is death itself that sustains his existence, and nothing but death will satisfy him.

God's justice is this grim reaper of the poet's saw. Justice for the wages of sin demands death! All mankind must answer to a holy God for sin. There is only one man in all of human history of whom justice had no claim. Only He could lay down His life as the only perfect sacrifice that can satisfy justice for those He calls His own. The Third Jewish Temple will have an altar where His shed blood will be remembered daily so all of mankind can assess the cost of appeasement to the wages of sin. Death (the second death) in the Bible means eternal condemnation in the lake of fire for all who die without redemption through the Lamb of God. No amount of silver, gold, or self conceived good works can buy off justice. The Bible says only blood will satisfy this grim reaper.

All men, all women, all astronauts, all must face justice if not today then tomorrow. It is the common experience of every individual. This is the pain of death. Only the God of the Bible has the remedy to deal with this pain! God's plan is the only plan that ends death without compromising justice!

Iraqis Call Shuttle Disaster God's Vengeance

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Immediate popular reaction in Baghdad on Saturday to the loss of the U.S. space shuttle Columbia and its seven-member crew -- including the first Israeli in space -- was that it was God's retribution.

"We are happy that it broke up," government employee Abdul Jabbar al-Quraishi said.

"God wants to show that his might is greater than the Americans. They have encroached on our country. God is avenging us," he said.

Iraqis are braced for a possible U.S.-led war to rid their country of any chemical, biological or nuclear weapons it may possess. Iraq denies it has such weapons.

Car mechanic Mohammed Jaber al-Tamini noted Israeli air force Colonel Ilan Ramon was among the dead when the shuttle broke up over the southwestern United States 16 minutes before its scheduled landing.

The 48-year-old Israeli astronaut was a fighter pilot in the Israeli air force. He was the youngest pilot in a team that bombed Iraq's nuclear reactor in 1981. Israel said the reactor was intended to develop nuclear weapons.

"Israel launched an aggression on us when it raided our nuclear reactor without any reason, now time has come and God has retaliated to their aggression," Tamini said.

 

God's vengeance has been uttered by every fanatic down through the ages when things seem to be going their way. I'm sure Hitler thought he was such an instrument at the beginning of the last world war. It is the end that measures where God's vengeance has really fallen. These Iraqis will die as did the astronauts, and at death does the end come where God's vengeance will have it's fullness revealed. 

The righteous justice of God demands vengeance. Everyone will be subject to this grim reaper no matter what their religion. No matter what their nationality. No matter what their politics. It is God in all His purity and holiness that must be satisfied, or righteous vengeance will be the result.

It is no small thing to be found guilty of opposing God's heritage. It is no small thing to invoke God's vengeance through vanity. The God of the Bible has made it perfectly clear upon whom His vengeance will abide for all eternity. The Jewish Kingdom is God's plan for the next dispensation. The vengeance of God will abide on all who oppose this coming Jewish Kingdom and it's soon coming King! The end for most will be eternal weeping and gnashing of teeth.

IRAQ PLANNED TO POISON ISRAELI WATER SUPPLY

A captured Palestinian intelligence official said he was trained and equipped in Iraq to poison Israeli water sources, according to a report in Israel's largest newspaper Yediot Aharonot.

"I was told to be ready to spread poison in the major Israeli water pipelines, the River Jordan or the Lake of Galilee," said 29 year-old Mohammed Farouq Abu Roub, arrested after a botched attempt to dispatch a suicide bomber to Israel.

Abu Roub, 29, confessed to having received his instructions when undergoing specialized training in Iraq, where he "was given thousands of dollars to carry out mega-attacks."

It was in Iraq that Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, also known as Abu Mazen - the head of the Palestine Liberation Front, and Palestinian Authority leader Arafat heir told him to prepare for the attack on the Israeli water supply - as well as on kindergartens or school buses that would traumatize Israeli parents.

"I want a mega-attack with a lot of casualties that will paralyze the life of Israel," Abu Roub quoted Abu Mazen as saying.

"There was no problem getting weapons, ammunition, poisonous powders," he said. "Everything was in big quantities. There were no limits."
 

 

The coming war with Iraq is much more about hate for Jews then anything else. It is the US pushing the grievances of a reluctant UN that has stirred the pot, but it is Israel that Iraq has chosen to be the object of their military and covert actions. The main target is not the military or government officials, but children where ever possible. It is a hate of the darkest hue that the Islamic Iraqis bare against the Jews of Israel.  The scud attacks on Israel in the last war exemplify this point. Israel was a non-combatant, and yet it was Israel that bore the brunt of the scud attacks. This coming war will find the Iraqis doing their worse against Israel again, but this time with their stockpiled chemical and biological weapons. Were the US to wait, it would only give Iraq nuclear weapons to add to the arsenal it will use on Israel. Iraq is not intent on New York City, but on the Jews of Tell Aviv. It bodes well for the US to take this action on behalf of the Jews. It is certain the world would only drag their feet in defense of the Jews.

This may all sound good, but it brings a red herring. The secular Jews will find comfort in depending on gentiles rather then their God for security. Their faith will prove faulty. Politics can change quickly. Israel found this out in Egypt right at the beginning when a Pharaoh who knew not Joseph came to power.

I'm convinced the peace coming on the aftermath of the fall of Saddam is going to be far more dangerous then this soon coming war with Iraq! It will be dangerous for the Jews because when the Islamic Invasion of Ezekiel 38 & 39 takes place the Western world does nothing to defend a peaceful unprepared Israel. It will be dangerous for the world because it will be the next step on the road to the Great Tribulation and Armageddon!

Captured Hebron terrorists reveal Jihad infrastructure
 

The Shin Bet on Tuesday announced the recent arrests of Islamic Jihad terrorists involved in the ambush at Worshipers Way in Hebron in November and the infiltration of the Otniel yeshiva attacks which claimed the lives of 16 Israelis.

Information gathered from the suspects, who are from the Hebron area, uncovered the widespread military infrastructure of Islamic Jihad, with instructions and funding direct from headquarters in Damascus.

The suspects questioned by the Shin Bet revealed that they received large sums of money from Damascus which was used to purchase the supplies needed for the attacks, as well as for payments to the families of "martyrs" and those captured by security forces.

According to the suspects, the Islamic Jihad headquarters has also instructed them to escalate attacks against Israelis and focus on bombings. The suspects revealed details regarding the purchase chemicals and other components used to prepare bombs. They all underwent weapons training and were instructed to recruit people to perpetrate suicide bombings.

The Flag of Israel Survives

Despite all the hate of the terrorists, all the hate of Islam, and all the hate of an anti-Semitic gentile world, Israel will survive! This Israeli flag still in the plastic bag in which it went into outer-space remains intact after the horrific crash that destroyed the shuttle. So also will Israel survive the crash that destroys the gentile world during the Great Tribulation. God's plan is not to have Israel lead the gentile world to peace, but rather for Israel to replace the gentile world in an all new dispensational beginning much as Noah and his family led mankind into the new dispensation of his day.

Nothing short of the total destruction of an absolutely corrupted gentile world is what God reveals is coming through the Bible. The engrafted New Testament age of the Church ends, and God again focuses on His natural seed in the next dispensation where both Testaments merge into one. It is difficult for many to conceive that God could be this judgmental, but purity and holiness demand the action. The coming justice of God is right. It is not that the gentile world has lacked being warned! The Great Flood of Noah evidenced around the world shows total destruction of a former age. Most of the fossil record is water laden. It is corrupted science that has turned this evidence of the Great Flood into a billion, billion year event. The truth has been turned into a lie so the warning is nullified to this generation. The Great Tribulation will accomplish what the Great Flood accomplished in bringing in a new dispensation!

After the rapture of the true Church the Bible says it is only Jews who repent, and turn to God. It is only the Jews who experience the character change that comes with a circumcised heart. There is provision for gentiles, but they must be adopted into this new Jewish Kingdom. They must recant of their gentile roots, and become Jews.

UN SECURITY COUNCIL SPLIT IN REACTION TO SPEECH

Veto wielding Security Council members Russia, France and China all appeared unconvinced by the findings, advocating a continuation of the inspections process and urging the council to resolve the standoff with Iraq through peaceful means.

But Britain's Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, backed Powell's call for immediate action against Iraq, telling fellow foreign ministers that the Iraqi debate was "a moment of choice" for the UN.

Iraq's ambassador to the UN, Muhammad al-Douri, told the council after Powell's briefing that the US assertions, "are utterly unrelated to the truth."

"There are incorrect allegations, unnamed sources, unknown sources, assumptions, and presumptions which all fall in line with the American policy," he told journalists in New York.
 

 

The war with Iraq is forcing the nations to make a choice. A similar moment of choice is what God is forcing on the world with dispensational change. Every individual will soon be forced to chose between God's righteousness, and worldly freedom to sin. Not many are predicted to side with God. Even Israel must be weaned from the flesh pots of Egypt when the moment of choice is forced on them.

Today, the choice of the nations is really about Israel. The Iraqi threat will effect Israel first, and many nations do not see the Jews of Israel worth involving themselves with this Hitler type despot Saddam. They would just as soon have Saddam do his worst on the Jews before they act for their own self interests. The Russians waited until the Nazis murdered the Jews of the Warsaw Ghetto before they continued the war in Poland. Many of the gentile nations would like to wait similarly for Saddam to get only one or two nuclear bombs earmarked for the Jews of Israel first. Only the US with the largest remnant of God's born again children is standing up as a mostly united front for Israel. This support will change quickly once the remnant are removed at the rapture of the true Church. Dispensational change will find the end of the Church Age, and the beginning of the Kingdom Age. Israel will find no friends in the world after the rapture. They will have one old friend once they turn back to Him. God will prove all powerful once the choices of dispensational change have been made. The gentile world will end, and the Jewish Kingdom will begin!

Three Jewish Students Who Shook the World

Sixty years ago this month, in February 1943, an extraordinary article appeared in a leading American Jewish magazine. The article was so unusual that the editors felt compelled to insert a note at the beginning, stating that the topic “merits public discussion,” even if “there may be disagreement as to some of the methods” proposed by the authors. The topic was America’s response to news of the Holocaust.

In late 1942, the news of Hitler’s genocide had been publicly confirmed, yet the Roosevelt administration continued to insist that nothing could be done to help Europe’s Jews until the end of the war, at which point the Allies would make sure that Nazi war criminals faced appropriate “retribution.” But in February 1943, three young rabbinical students at Conservative Judaism’s Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) took pen in hand to challenge the administration’s position. Their controversial article, which appeared in The Reconstructionist, was titled “Retribution is Not Enough.” Their point was that the U.S. should do much more than merely mete out postwar retribution to war criminals – ways had to be found to rescue Jews immediately.

The article also decried what the authors regarded as the apathy of the mainstream Jewish leadership: "What have the rabbis and leaders... done to arouse themselves and their communities to the demands of the hour?" the article asked, "What have they undertaken to awaken the conscience of the American people?"

Shaken by reports of Nazi atrocities, the trio had established their own student action committee to publicize the news from Europe and prod Jewish leaders to adopt a more activist approach. In December 1942, they recruited rabbinical students from Reform and Orthodox seminaries to join them in a delegation that met with Dr. Stephen Wise, the most prominent American Jewish leader of that era. Wise was not receptive to their suggestions, such as calling for increased Jewish refugee immigration to the United States. He feared such steps might stimulate anti-Semitism. The students left Wise´s office disappointed, yet they were determined to take action even without the Jewish leadership´s approval. ...

 

The American Christian leadership of today is as guilty of having betrayed the fundamentals of Bible doctrine, and have sold out Christianity much as the American Jewish leadership of 1943 sold out the Jews of Europe for fear of backlash. The holocaust could have been tempered if not prevented had it been made a priority during the war years. The political correctness of the day was not to raise the issue until after the war was over. Millions of Jewish men, woman, and children were sold out for the sake of this kind of political correctness. The truth was actively suppressed by the opinion of those who deemed it the politically correct thing to do.

Today, millions upon millions of Christians have been sold out by America's Christian leaders who are more concerned about their own success and popularity then they are in the truth. Millions upon millions of  Christians are going to be left behind after the rapture of the true Church because they followed religious correctness rather then truth. A new Christ has been presented to America, and the world through the Charismatic and Evangelical movements. "Born again" has been hijacked by these showmen posing as ministers of God who have been exposed again and again as charlatans. The fickle crowds flock from one fallen hero to the next rather then getting out of these systems of lies and hypocrisies. The Apostate Church that will be destroyed during the Great Tribulation is growing in leaps and bounds today through main stream Christian doctrine. It is really no doctrine! The Biblical doctrines designed by God to separate truth from error have been compromised for the sake of big numbers, and big money. Millions upon millions of Christians believe doctrine is a dirty word which should not be mentioned. Doctrine exposes the Roman Catholic Church as apostate, it exposes charismatic signs and wonders as a lie, and demands God's children to separate from all such blasphemy. Yet, the hand of unity is extended to these blasphemers in today's main stream religiously correct fervor. "Born again" has lost it's meaning, and pagan ecstatic utterance falsely promoted as Biblical speaking in tongues is the greater unifying factor in today's Christianity then the Biblical doctrine of exclusive salvation in Christ alone!

The end of the Christian Church age is near as God prepares to bring in His Jewish Kingdom!

 

Hi,

I'm scheduled for surgery on both my eyes tomorrow at Duke University thanks to the VA who will be paying for everything. The Lord has been so good. I retired with nothing including any kind of health insurance. The VA has not only provided a pension which meets my daily expenses, but maybe the best health care available. I had fretted often of what my final end would be, and the Lord had it all worked out from the very beginning.

I'm not sure when I'll be back? You can be sure as soon as I can read I'll be back with my comments on "In The News." I wish I could be more faithful.

Fourteen killed in Hajj stampede

At least 14 people have been killed and several others injured in a stampede during the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, a Saudi official has said.

The official said the incident happened during the symbolic stoning of the devil ritual in Mina, just outside Mecca.

The incident comes despite extra precautions taken by the Saudi authorities to try to prevent a recurrence of the stampedes which have claimed hundreds of lives in recent years.

The pilgrimage, or Hajj, is taking place against the backdrop of a looming war with Iraq, and the authorities have deployed thousands of troops to maintain order.

"The stampede took place while pilgrims returning to their camps at 1030 (0730 GMT) met pilgrims coming the other way, some pilgrims falling in the dense crowd," said General Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed bin Said.

Those injured were treated at the nearby Mina hospital and two were detained for further treatment.

The dead included six women and nationals from Pakistan, India, Egypt, Iran and Yemen, the AFP agency reported.

More than two million Muslims were taking part in the ritual, after praying at Mount Arafat on Tuesday and collecting pebbles for the stoning.

The pilgrims, many of whom are old and infirm, are emotional and weary by the time they reach the pillars and so are particularly vulnerable, says the BBC's Riz Khan in Jeddah.

They have to pass through a passage way which some say is too narrow considering the huge number of pilgrims involved.

Police and armed guards lined the route to Mina, while armoured vehicles patrolled the roads and helicopters hovered overhead.

The pilgrimage, which takes Muslims in the footsteps of Mohammed, Islam's 7th Century prophet, is the biggest annual mass movement of people on the planet.

In Mina, the devil is represented by three giant concrete pillars.

On Tuesday, pilgrims throw only seven small stones at the first pillar, known as the "big Satan".

The stoning continues over the next three days and after completing the ritual, pilgrims circle the Kaaba - a cube-shaped stone structure at the centre of Mecca's Grand Mosque - seven times.

Then they say farewell prayers and ask God to accept their pilgrimage, which every able-bodied Muslim must make once in a lifetime.

After the stoning ritual, pilgrims may celebrate the start of the Eid al-Adha, or feast of sacrifice, by slaughtering a camel, a cow or a sheep.

 

It may surprise many to know this Hajj is not the largest pilgrimage site for the religious. More pilgrims visit St. Bernadette's vision site in Lourdes, France then any other. I remember seeing news footage of old ladies in Mexico City climbing 100 ceremonial raged stone stairs on bloody knees to please some god's image at the top. What kind of god is this Moslem god? What kind of god is this Roman Catholic god? I see old crippled ladies knocked flat on the floor by emotional mystical hyjinks at the Benny Hinn circus TV shows, and wonder what kind of god is this god of the Charismatics? The wheelchairs follow his so called crusades from city to city falsely hoping this crusade will be the one when they get freed from their infirmity.

I am certain this is not the God of the Bible! I am certain any who try to say it is all one god are just so wrong! The God of the Bible could never take pleasure in people going into fanatical rites that cause loss of self control. It is just not His nature. These Charismatic circus shows promote a god not found in the Bible. The Christian mystics that heal one over the TV screens while hundreds of thousands of other expectant seekers remain withering in their pain is not the way the God of the Bible heals.

These are most vicious gods who dangle the downtrodden on a string of vindictiveness. It is reason enough for God to pull the plug on what main stream Christianity tolerates with hardly a whimper. It is not because of the foolish Moslem pillars of stone that God is turning over the next Kingdom to the Jews. It is because the God of the Bible, and main stream Christianity are not the same anymore!

Counter-Terrorism Successes

Israeli security forces, in coordination with the intelligence community, are working overtime to prevent planned terrorist attacks against Jewish targets as the nationwide alert continues. Officials indicated that the closure on Palestinian Authority areas in Judea, Samaria and Gaza will most likely remain in effect at least until this weekend, the end of the Haj period, and after the Moslem holiday of ‘Id al-Adha. Today, however, the internal curfews were lifted in most major cities in Judea and Samaria, with the exception of Hevron and Bethlehem. Meanwhile, overnight and this morning, the IDF has seen several successes in its counter-terrorism activities.

Two terrorists armed with an explosive device were shot and killed by IDF forces near the Gush Katif community of Dugit during the night. Also last night in Gush Katif, a terrorist with an explosives vest in his vehicle was apprehended at Orchen Junction. And yet another terrorist, this time already wearing an explosives vest, was apprehended near the Jewish community of Kedumim, in Samaria. In other counter-terrorist activity, IDF troops continued rounding up wanted suspects throughout Judea, Samaria and Gaza: in Bituniya, in the Ramallah district, three Hamas terrorists were taken into custody; three Tanzim terrorists were apprehended in Balata, in the Shechem district; other arrests were made in the Shechem and Jenin districts; and four PA residents suspected of terrorist activities were arrested at Gush Katif Junction. They were turned over to the custody of the GSS (General Security Service – Shin/Bet).

The Arab terrorist forces, however, continue their assault. Last night, two firebombs were thrown at Israelis at the Yakir Junction in Samaria, gunfire was directed at an IDF training base in the northern Jordan Valley, and a mortar shell was fired at an IDF outpost in Gaza. There were no injuries in any of the incidents.

In a related matter, the current Islamic holiday season has resulted in widespread concern and terrorism alerts in the United States and the United Kingdom. Military and law enforcement efforts are underway to prevent a major attack that intelligence officials fear will coincide with the end of the Haj this week. In England, British soldiers have been deployed at Heathrow international airport, and in New York, police have been warned to be on the lookout for “conventional or improvised weapons” that may be used to spread deadly chemical or biological agents.

 

The wild man must be put under restraint! This is the only practical peace plan for Israel today. It is hard, no nonsense treatment of the rebellious heathen in their midst. The Islamic Palestinian Arabs have proven themselves unwilling to seek peaceful solutions, and this harsh treatment is the only alternative. This peace is working when compared to the almost daily terrorist bomb attacks on Jewish civilians of the past. My fear is the peace coming after the war with Iraq will be built around a Palestinian State. The real peace plan that is working will be abandoned. Israel will again have to accept the gentile dictated peace that will replace the practical peace of today.

A false gentile peace for the Holy Land seems coming next! This could be the peace of Ezekiel leading to the Last Jihad, and the end of Islamic influence over the Middle East. Leading to the open door for building the Third Jewish Temple! The world is changing fast! Babylon,  exhaled by the world of merchandise in Revelation, the instrument of the antichrist to control world commerce, seems another phenomenon emerging from the soon coming fall of Saddam. 

The Bible is the only road map that should be followed. It will be the only road map that history will be allowed to follow. Men can resist trying every false trail along the way, but in the end it will be the Jewish Kingdom with Jerusalem as it's capital. The Temple Mount will again host the House of God. It will again have it's importance acknowledged, and all the resistance from those who think they know better will be broken!

Plan: US general to run Iraq

In Ankara and Washington, the US outlined its plans for a post-Hussein Iraq. Some Iraqi opposition leaders object.

SULAYMANIYAH, IRAQ - The head of the US military's Central Command, Gen. Tommy Franks, will rule Iraq in the initial aftermath of a US invasion to overthrow President Saddam Hussein.

Administration officials briefed senators Tuesday on postwar planning, stressing that the US goal is "to liberate Iraq, not to occupy it," and last week a US envoy told leaders of Iraqi groups opposed to Hussein about American intentions.

The senators were told that even under good circumstances, it would take two years before the military could fully transfer control to an Iraqi government. As presented, the plan recalls postwar Germany and Japan, where American military occupations paved the way for transfers of power to democratic and constitutionally backed governments.

Some Iraqi opposition leaders are already attacking the plan, saying it amounts to a US military rule of Iraq that will favor the existing power structure in the country. Instead of turning Iraq into a beacon of democracy in the Middle East, an ambition articulated by some US policymakers, the opposition leaders say the US plan seems designed to ease the fears of Arabs and Turks unhappy with the prospect of a democratic, federal Iraq.

But Barham Salih, prime minister of an enclave in northern Iraq controlled by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), advises a pragmatic view of the US plan. "Let's not get too hot about this," he said late Tuesday in an interview at his home here. "Who is doing the heavy lifting?"

The answer is, of course, the US, and Mr. Salih's implication is that shouldering the big load brings with it a few prerogatives. He maintains an eyes-on-the-prize approach to the debate over how to run Iraq's affairs immediately after the current leader is removed: "The key thing for us is getting rid of Saddam Hussein."

Some elements of Iraq's fractious opposition, including groups funded by the US, have been determined to form a government-in-waiting in order to ensure that Iraq's sovereignty stays in Iraqi hands. They argue that Iraqis will see even a temporary US administration of Iraq as occupation, engendering anti-American sentiment throughout the Middle East.

Even so, the US has decided to run the country itself, although the structure outlined to Congress and the opposition groups envisions a "consultative council" of Iraqis selected by the US to advise American administrators.

 

There are many well meaning folks proposing various plans as to how Iraq (and most importantly Iraqi oil profits) will be administered after Saddam. The problem is the folks who will have control in the end will not have the same motivations of those presently proposing how Iraqi wealth will be administered. There are some who are concerned that Iraqi sovereignty remain in Iraqi hands. My thoughts knowing that a literal Babylon controlling the wealth of the world is predicted in the Book of Revelation is that this could foster the birth of just such a city built on the literal site of ancient Babylon. A city initially proposed to maintain Iraqi sovereignty, but in the end controlled by the antichrist who will be the future leader of the Western World.

I'm sure General Franks will have the best of intensions as he assumes his responsibilities after the war. It is who will come after General Franks that the Bible says we should watch! The whole Middle East is in the process of massive change. God is bringing in His next dispensation which is centered in the Holy Land, and so such change should not be a surprise. I suspect it will not just be Iraqi oil that will finance the growth of Babylon, but all Middle East oil! I suspect a Hitler/Antiochus leader of the West will continue keeping control of this wealth from the Islamic Arabs under a cleverly orchestrated global peace plan.

No one but God knows how the history of the Middle East will progress. What is known is that 2003 will be a critical year to major change! I watch the news, and read my Bible. I fully expect the false peace leading to the Great Tribulation is now blowing in the winds of change!

The end of the antichrist's Babylon will be horrific as God establishes Jerusalem as the capital of His Kingdom!

Pat Robertson to Undergo Surgery for Prostate Cancer
February 13, 2003

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA -- Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson told his television audience today that his doctors had discovered that he had prostate cancer. After extensive tests, it has been determined that the cancer does not appear to have metastasized beyond the prostate.

Doctors have scheduled surgery on Monday, February 17th to remove his prostate. The surgeon who will perform the operation has pioneered the relatively new technique of radical laparoscopic prostatectomy in the United States.

Barring any unforeseen difficulties, his doctors anticipate that Robertson, who will be 73 in March, will be returning to a full schedule within two weeks.

Dr. Robertson and his family appreciate your faithful prayers during this time, and thank God for the healing He will provide in the days ahead.

 

I suppose it is appropriate for this ordained Southern Baptist "religious broadcaster" who built a multi-million dollar family enterprise by merchandising the Lord Jesus Christ as a mystic healer  should now suffer from a cancer. It is a little thing right now, and money is no object when it comes to his personal need of healing. A condition most of his gullible victims did not have available for themselves.

Old age has a humbling effect on even the most disillusioned. Saddam is facing the end of his visions of grandeur with failing health. The US seems intent on cutting short his old age, but time will always be the final judge of the proud.

I would suspect Pat Robertson holds the record for claimed mystic healings. He redefined the Biblical term "word of knowledge" almost single handed. It is now a direct revelation from god to a TV host or hostess about a mystic healing god had just tossed out to the seeking crowds. (It is like throwing out a handful of pennies to a great crowd of children all exuberantly hoping they will be able to grab one.) The victim is expected to acknowledge the healing or lose it. The healed are also expected to send money as a common courtesy.

I only wonder how many healed prostrates have been given out by "words of knowledge" lately? I wonder if Pat will claim one for himself, and save the doctors their time?

I wonder how long the Southern Baptists will let this huckster use them as another authenticating source of his ill gotten gains?

Millions Join World Protests Against Iraq War

LONDON/NEW YORK (Reuters) - More than six million demonstrators turned out across the world on Saturday in a wave of protest supporting international leaders in urging the United States not to rush into a war against Iraq.

From Canberra to Cape Town, from Karachi to Chicago, people from all walks of life took to the streets to pillory President Bush as a bloodthirsty warmonger in the biggest demonstration of 'people power' since the Vietnam War.

The largest outcry against war occurred in the European countries whose leaders have vocally supported Bush's position at the United Nations.

A million people marched the streets of Rome, 1.3 million paraded in Barcelona, two million in Madrid, and in New York, officials estimated the turnout there at 250,000.

At least half a million marched in London, creating a major headache for Prime Minister Tony Blair, Bush's closest ally.

"I hope this demonstration will show Muslims it is our government that wants the war, not the British people," said protester Richard Shirres, rallying in London with his six-year-old son. London Mayor Ken Livingstone said the rally was the largest peace demonstration in British political history.

Bush and Blair suffered a setback on Friday to their efforts to win international backing for early military action to rid Iraq of suspected weapons of mass destruction in a dramatic showdown at the United Nations.

France, Russia, China, Germany and other nations said U.N. weapons inspections should continue in statements that seemed set to slow the introduction of a resolution the United States and Britain want to authorize the use of force.

French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin boasted of a triumph in France's efforts to brake Washington's push for war after the French foreign minister won applause for his call for at least another month of inspections.

 

The war with Iraq was never about what Saddam might do to New York City any more then it is about what Saddam might do to London, Rome, Madrid, Paris, or any of the other centers of protest. The war with Iraq is all about what Saddam will do to Tel Aviv at his very first opportunity. The war with Iraq is about what an aging Saddam thinking about martyrdom for his nation will do with his first nuclear bomb once assembled. The people of the world do not care anymore then the governments that represent them what Saddam will do to the Jews of Israel. The world would politically tie the hands of the Jews, and then let them fend for themselves. The United States has long been the only friend Israel has in the world. I'm sure should the US ever withdraw support for Israel she will stand alone!

The peace protests are a rouge to the real issue of prevalent attitudes toward the Jews, and what they represent from a Biblical perspective. There is a hate that stirs up in the depraved hearts of evil people when the prospect of true Biblical righteousness is presented. The world hates the thought of a puritanical God taking control. The coming dispensation is just such a reality. It will be all about the Kingdom of God centered in a Jewish Kingdom with Jerusalem as it's capital, and the Third Jewish Holy Temple with a throne from where holy righteousness will be administered!

I can't help but feel the peaceful protesters of today will be in similar crowds clinching their fists blaspheming God during the last days of the Great Tribulation when Babylon falls!

Armageddon asteroids 'best kept secret'

A scientific adviser to the United States government has suggested that secrecy might be the best option if scientists were ever to discover that a giant asteroid was on course to collide with Earth.

In certain circumstances, nothing could be done to avoid such a collision and ensuing destruction, and it would be best not to tell the public anything, said Geoffrey Sommer, of the Rand Corporation in Santa Monica, California.

"When a problem arises with high uncertainty, there is an opportunity to spin the problem to avoid global panic. If you can't do anything about a warning, then there is no point in issuing a warning at all," Dr Sommer told the association yesterday.

"If an extinction-type impact is inevitable, then ignorance for the populace is bliss. As a matter of common sense, if you can't intercept it and you can't move people out of the way in time, there's nothing you can do in terms of reducing the costs of the potential impact," he said.

"Overreaction not just by the public but by policy-makers scurrying around before the thing actually hits because we can't do anything about it anyway ... to a large extent you are better off not adding to your social costs," said Dr Sommer, who is also an adviser on terrorism.

The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Nasa) is conducting a 25-year survey of the sky to find asteroids wider than a kilometre which could have a devastating impact if they collided with Earth.

So far they have determined the orbits of about 60 per cent of these objects and none so far have a trajectory that threatens the world within the next couple of centuries, said David Morrison of Nasa's Ames laboratory in Moffat Field, California.

"There are, however, many things out there that we know nothing about," he said.

 

"None so far." Do you believe there are "none so far" from a fellow who just said "there is no point in issuing a warning at all." It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize this pompous NASA official has a problem with truth telling. He thinks he must make the critical decisions for all the little people who didn't rise to his exalted position of patrimony.  I'm just guessing David Morrison and Geoffrey Sommer are liberal democrats!

What can be gleaned from this amazing revelation is that science, and the media will not be the places to go for understanding when the events of the Great Tribulation begin. The spirit of secretism is apparently present. The spin to make things appear better then what they really are is also here.

These are the same pompous folks who convinced the world there is no controlling God, but rather billions of years of chance evolution. These are the folks who keep secret all the real science that makes billions of years an impossibility (like the frequency of killer asteroids)! These are the folks who spin the truth of DNA programming by a God of immeasurable intelligence as mere chance occurrence which even the greatest of computers come short in ability to understand. These are the folks who duped the public into becoming pagans believing in Mother Nature rather then the God of the Bible.

The time is right for dispensational change. The time is right for judgment of the pompous liars who used science for their own personal political gains. 

The Bible is the only source of truth, and it says the Great Tribulation is near!

20 Deaths Blamed on Eastern Blizzard

The worst blizzard to hit the mid-Atlantic and central Appalachian states in seven years shut down much of the region on Presidents Day with windblown snow that piled up as much as 4 feet deep, halting air and some rail travel and killing at least 20 people.

 

I only wonder to what the radical ignoramuses of 1902 attributed their record breaking snow fall? I'm not sure if the next Ice Age was the topic for radical dooms day fear used back then or not? I'm sure the global warming radical ignoramuses of today will convince the gullible that this blizzard can somehow be turned into proof of ozone depletion and global warming.  I couldn't begin to estimate how many thousands of dollars the average American family has lost in higher prices just to appease these radicals? I'm sure the total for all families is far more then what the war with Iraq will cost. It may well be ten or twenty fold more. Money thrown away for pseudo-science that will never happen. I only wonder who invented this global warming fear tactic, and to what purpose?

It amazes me how seeming rational people can become so intense about a dooms day coming from pollution, but never give the Bible a second thought where the real dooms day is explicitly laid out. This world of the gentiles will not end because of global warming. It will end because of sin, and resistance to the next planned dispensation by the God of the Bible.

A Jewish King is returning to rule with an iron rod of righteousness. The gentiles will never submit to His puritanical administration of the whole world, and their resistance will be their death. God is about to force the world to choose! The Valley of decision is near! A Jewish King administering Jewish righteousness, or death! Armageddon predicts the gentile choice on that fateful day!

There will be no need for a Newer Testament to guide the faithful in that day. The present Old and New Testaments will flow together as all the promises and intent of both find perfect fullness in the Messiah/Christ. A final age of righteousness is what God is preparing today. The Jews are back in the Holy Land, and the Middle East is about to change in a very radical way right before our eyes this very year. Nothing can stop God from bringing in the Jewish Kingdom age!
